Description

The HCMtoGo mobile app is a new tool that allows employees and managers to access their human resource needs on-the-go. However, before logging in, users must ensure that their administrator has set up the app for their organization. They will also need to select the region they are using and enter their Company Shortname, which is a unique identification number provided by their company administrator. Companies must be using approval workflows to process To Do Items, and supported timesheet profiles are Bulk Hours and Start/End (All Days) only. Employers must have the HCMtoGO software configured for mobile use, and users must have permission to access the app via their security profile. Once users have access to the HCMtoGo app, they can perform a variety of tasks to enhance their human resource needs. These include checking and editing timesheets, submitting and viewing time off requests, checking vacation/sick balances, enrolling in benefits, viewing pay stubs, managing direct deposits, and checking schedules. If enabled, users can also swap shifts with peers. As an administrator, it is important to note that users must have permission to access the app via their security profile and UI Preferences widget. Companies must be using approval workflows to process To Do Items, and supported timesheet profiles are Bulk Hours and Start/End (All Days) only. The company's Short Name must be provided to users for login, and basic authentication with SSO is not currently supported.

This app takes something simple, recording work hours, and makes it difficult, time consuming, and unreliable. It takes anywhere from two to five minutes just to open the app. When clocking in or out, it doesn't always give the confirmation message, not does it always record the clock in or out. It cannot handle shifts that go past midnight. This app has lost over 20 hours of my time in the past two pay periods because of these issues. It's garbage.

Glitches nearly every time I have to open it. Insisting that my password is wrong, even though it's not. Won't let you clock IN or OUT at random. Claiming you can't clock 'in/ out' within 3 minutes of previous clock. Even though you're trying to do the opposite clock punch. If my employer didn't require us to use this app I'd delete it and tell anyone who'd listen that it's awful.

Our company just started using this App on September 1, 2021 and from about 9/7 to 9/17, every single time I logged into it, the app has badgered me to 'rate it'. I found that extremely annoying and distracting from the task of clocking in and out. I'm hoping that by rating the app now, that message will stop showing up? I also find the fact that a user cannot change their password without their administration's permission a downfall of their system, both on the app and on their web platform.
