First it only allowed me to take the test. The test was full of spots where non-adjustable mistakes could be made throwing the resuts way off. It asked for my age. I had the option of 2 answers <20 something or between 30-and maybe 39? I couldn't change it, I'm 62 yrs old. The sound part starts with very little warning. The first part for my left ear is not accurate. There are no restart, back or pause bottons. If your a little slow answering, another error. There are lots of mistakes in this.
Hard to rate it fairly after just one test as I did find the sounds took me by surprise at first so I was perhaps slow to react. Shame it asks for you to rate it before you xan do a second test. It does seen better than another app I have tried, as I suffer from tinnitus it isn't easy for me to decide if the sound I hear is from tge app or the white noise in my head constantly.
excellent testing UI. works well.... but just tell me the actual frequency results. I made my own app for testing in the end. this doesn't give anything really useful except abstract per ear comparison. why not just get the full, accurate data that you can do something useful with???
I took this test on my phone, using noise canceling headphones. Shortly after, I went to an audiologist and took a similar (more involved) hearing test. The graphs from both tests were very similar. Impressive app.
It's quick to use. However, I think we need more biographical form to add patients
Works great. Obviously not a substitute for an audiologist but it's pretty close and a good indicator. My ENT and audiologist actually appreciated the data from this app and told me to contribute to use it to track recovery progress. I'm not sure why low ratings but try either updating your phone software or get a newer device. Also unpair and repair your Bluetooth headset. Make sure your headset can produce the required frequencies.
This is a reasonable application, however, it does not display the vertical scale in the results in dB. It is also has no way to calibrate headphones and also to check the hearing at any desired frequency. The earphones frequency response may be calibrated with a microphone on the phone.
Good app for checking your hearing regularly to see how good it is and if it changes over time. You have to react quickly when you start hearing each sound which is why the test may not be 100 % accurate. Always take a professional hearing test to get a fully reliable result. But in between such tests this app gives you a good idea about your hearing level.
Easy to use and very informative.
Useful for a general impression of your hearing health. More information on the source of figures for the general population groups offered for age comparison would be helpful. Also, no way of calibrating the app for use under varying conditions, eg different earphone sets.
I found the app a little confusing to start as I wasn't sure when or how to navigate through the screens but the app itself works. I was happy to confirm that my hearing was normal.
Good test but there need to be gaps before each increase in decibel level. A quick continuous rise does not take into consideration the slow reflexes of older people while pressing the button leading to falsely high level of hearing loss.
Simple to use and quick. I have confidence in the results as they are in line with tests I had done at my local NHS audiology department a couple of years ago. The app provided more information on the results than the NHS, eg. that the mild loss of hearing in one ear was normal for my age.
Good app, works well. I deducted 1 Star because the app requires a wired connection. It does not accept BT earphones
not bad. useful. but as a nerd would like to see more data like frequencies (numbers), and would like to go to higher frequencies than what this app gives. 60+ and can hear high frequencies.
I really liked the test but need to use few more times to understand the procedure, e.g., the instruction to touch the tab as soon as you hear the sound..does it mean immediately or a 2 second delay between hearing and pressing will change the result?
Results on par with expectations. Not quite sure what action to take with the results. Maybe tests over time useful
Cannot use with wireless headphones! Program will not progress without"plugging in" Worthless. Get with the time! Plug in is a thing of the past
Easy to use, not Bad hearing test for frequency response/sensitivity of hearing. Uses only tones, so does not really measure intelligibility.
Ran this using wireless buds and it's inaccurate. I had a professional hearing test recently and this app gives totally different results. I would absolutely avoid.
