Oh my Lord this app is awful. First of all, the inmate's voice plays from the small speaker that you're supposed to put your phone up to during a call, not the regular speaker that allows you to hear a person and see their face at the same time. And then most of the time he can't hear me at all! I've tried my Bluetooth headset and 2 different speakers.... 75% of the time he gets no sound on his end. But we still get charged. Video messages i receive are zoomed in like 4x. HATE THIS APP.

Most of the time it's fine. I'm greatful for being able to talk to my loved one. However, since the update last week I've gotten nothing but "unknown error" pop ups on the bottom of my screen and my inmate disappears from my list. I have to close the app and reopen it, sometimes multiple times, before it will show me the name again. My husband has the same issue. I also lost the ability to send pictures from my storage. It's no longer an option in my permissions to allow it. Dropped calls too.

Really bad connections 90% of the time. 2 stars only because when we can hear each other and it's not frozen, we can communicate. Which is better than nothing. It seems whenever we get to talking about something important, the app stutters, freezes, but continues to charge. Revisited this review. App freezes and continues to charge more often than we're able to converse. It's annoying. In one call, she had to call back 10x. Each time she hung up, the indicator went immediately from 1 to 5 bars.

steals time during every visit (we've watched the seconds skip), freezes up, sometimes there's no audio or it echoes and sometimes it won't connect at all but still takes minutes away. As expensive as it is to use you'd think it would work better and why steal our time when you're charging us out the wazoo already. oh and I have an excellent phone and WiFi so it's the app.

Absolutely awful. Difficult to navigate. Almost impossible to go through the tutorials. User authentication is something just shy of what would be required to visit the NORAD command center during DEFCON 2. For no apparent reason. Have had very SERIOUS issues. Volume was so low I could not hear during several phone calls. I had to put the phone to my ear to hear anything, and was terminated for not having my face in the.video. Yeah. Terminated before I could get crucial legal information.

Still has bugs to work out. Can add money for their HomeWav account (can call/text anyone) or Talk to Me (only call/text you). They keep raising rates, now it's 'per character' charged. Used to be .50 per message. Can't send letters anymore so you're forced to use this app. Better to do video visit or phone call. Can't use this to add money for commissary. The app is glitchy, been this way for at least a cpl yrs. I've never gotten a refund when my inmates have been released or transfered.

I think the app is awesome when you use it on the laptop. Besides that, they're horrible with refunds request. I submitted my refund request since 9/21 and I haven't seen my money in my bank account. Be sure to small amounts as you're using it. Otherwise you won't see that money... at least I haven't seen mine yet. Just sent them another request, let's see how long that takes! 😒

The app has to be restarted and or reinstalled frequently. It takes 15-20 seconds to connect (with time running). The camera feature often doesn't work, requiring a phone restart. The video and or audio will freeze up and disconnect the call. And if a text or call comes through my phone, even if I make no effort to acknowledge the interruption, the app will glitch, often causing the call to drop.

Hate. To add cash is nothing short of a headache. There's an option to add it to your Google Wallet, which I interpreted to mean I no longer had to navigate your poorly constructed app, and would just need the code scanned and the money handed over. Sadly, that's not the case. It's disposable. You're going to put many of us on anxiety meds. You give no warning, no heads up, no indication whatsoever that your phone call is ending. Truthfully, that's just mean. Ridiculous.

This app is almost like a scam. They offer you a service, you add money and they basically steal it from you. The connection issues are horrific. The app will barely allow you to answer the call. When and if it connects the call has so much lag, you never even see a face or hear the person. With in seconds the call drops. I have hit the report bug button still no use. The app just takes my money. I can't even send a video message.

Its alright but most of the time i dont get my calls. It takes awhile for it to connect for the video calls. While its connecting the time is running and we lose time and cant get it back so i'm losing alot if money on here. Most times i can barely hear the party on the other end. It's a horrible experience. Calls are being dropped also so i dont know if the guards are doing it purposely or if they are just dropping.

**PLEASE FIX!!**Was liking the app for the most part until this new update. Now when I try to add videos that have been recorded on my phone, I click on "+" then "my files" and it just gives me an alert telling me to allow sharing of videos/photos but then there's no way to actually do that. even going into the settings of the app and the available permissions don't even have "files" as an option. just microphone, camera, etc. PLEASE FIX!!

Too many bugs. Won't let me answer the phone, cuts off even when the connection is good, hangs up with time left, takes too long to load on inmates end and takes the money when they aren't even on the screen and you can't hear, started off good-ish but now it just sucks and I've only had the app for like 2 months. Very disappointed and angry.

This app is atrocious! 😡 When your inmate calls, you have to open the app, click around everywhere until everything starts populating correct amounts and names and such, then you MIGHT get to answer the call. That's a good day. Bad days include calls not popping up but you feeling it vibrate or hear it ring. I mate not being able to call out to you for no reason. There are times it shows I'm online and they call but I never am, so it causes inconvenience in schedules. Also skips and eats your $

Very dissatisfied with this app. I have to use a bluetooth device in order to speak with my family member. It's also like the minutes go unusually more quickly then what regular time would. I wouldn't even give it a 1 star, if I weren't for my family member. And video on family members side is distorted. Sounds like a robot. If your gonna make an app for people to speak with their loved ones. Then don't charge 2 dollars everytime they load money. And then make the minutes go unusually quick.

First month or so I loved the app. But been using it for almost 6 months and it keeps getting worse. Calls dropped, inmate not able to connect for 10 to 15 seconds, burry pictures, all while I'm connected to wifi. But you have to pay $7.50 to report a bug or problem. They charge enough and get enough from what ends up being pointless calls because the call is either dropped or somehow doesnt work. Plus it's their fault so why should we have to pay for their problem. I could say more but no room

At first I thought the app was great, but then we started having microphone issues and then video issues. Now I can receive calls (usually), but every time I open the messaging, the app crashes. All those messages and my money down the drain. Can't even get to them. What a shame! They should do better. And somebody owes me some money!

Have lots of connection issues and it freezing up or you name it and it has happened. Will crash out and still have the time counter going charging you for time you are trying to figure out what's up like if it's froze or lagging. However I am so grateful for being able to have the opportunity to see and speak with my locked up loved one

I dislike this app. It's costly and keeps glitching. And recently fees have went up (twice.) At first you didn't have to pay fees for this service but recently they added tax which is fine but as of today there is also a $2 handling fee for every $5 and the fee goes up, the more you spend. It's sad they take advantage of families that have inmates in these facilities and for an app that freezes up, sounds crackely and charges a small fortune for every character in one sentence and paragraph.

This app does not work. The app needs to be open in order for you to be online. Whenever you are finally able to get on with your party the call quality is great, but notifications, messaging, none of that works. AND when I tried to deactivate my account, the agent said that there was no way to completely erase me account, meaning my driver's license information is permanently stored on this app. If I would have known that I definately would not have signed up for it.
