The app hardly functions. The only thing I can use it for is for checking if my car is locked and how much gas it has (which is useful, I won't lie). Any time I try any of the other functions (remote start, lock/unlock, lights, etc.) the app crashes. It crashes no matter what I do. If I so much as touch a control icon, the app crashes. If it worked, the app would be an easy 4 or 5 (subscription is pricey, so probably 4).

Occasionally fails to connect. Had stopped working (couldn't sign in), but an uninstall/reinstall fixed that. App is a big step up from just using the key fob, especially when warming it up this winter for my kid and elderly parents. Update at 1yr: I've had to reinstall the app EVERY update to get it to work. Also, just had a 96+ hour downtime. Honda has a lot of work to do...

Just got the prologue and was very excited. until the dealership tried to walk me though installing and linking this app. I get to the section where you scan the code on the car to link it. And I get stuck due to " service currently unavailable" popup message. so I was stuck at the dealer an extra hour because they wouldn't let me leave before setting the app up. eventually they let me go home but the message never went away and I cannot link the app to my car. a big disappointment from Honda.

Useless and bad. Mileage and oil life are always way off from what the dash says. Not even close. Sends notification every time you open the door, and again when you start the car. No way to turn it off without disabling all notifications. Any real app in a competitive market wouldn't survive in this state. Probably nothing has been fixed for you years.

Paying for a premium service and the only way to use it is through an app that is non-functional? It crashes constantly or hangs indefinitely. it's only useful for collecting data and telling you how much gas you have. In the northeast, you need an auto starter, this cannot do it. As often as it's offline for server maintenance you'd think it would improve over time, it's gotten steadily worse since at least December. I'll be contacting Honda for a refund and considering a 3rd party option.

SO much room for improvement. Been using paid app on and off for 2 years. Cons: Poor connectivity, incorrect information displays (example: says doors are unlocked, or open, when they are in fact not), takes a long time to "connect" to the vehicle. Limits how many times I can start my vehicle. Pros: Indicates gas and oil levels. I only subscribe in the winter months so I can see the vehicle has been started when I don't have a visual of the car.

EDITED A YEAR LATER: Still non-functional, perhaps even worse than before. I think I'd be happier if it didn't exist at all, that way I could just pay for a third party app that actually works. The app will not even allow us to login -- yes, we are using the correct log in information and have the most up to date version of the app. Even when logged in, the app is slow and sluggish to actually start the car.

Slowest and most buggy experience of any car app out there edit January 2026: it's gotten so much worse. can never check my charge status, can never preheat, can not find the location. literally works for one command every 3 weeks. I'll get 50 "charge complete" notifications in the middle of a random night when the backlog of updates catches up. developers need to get their act together.

It is great when it works. I have to uninstall it often and even then it doesn't work sometimes. One week after an update, and it won't do anything but "spin". Just under a year later, and I have no stars to add. I did figure out that I have to delete any unread Honda app notifications for it to work. That doesn't always fix it though. For three days last week, it gave me errors. Also, sometimes the car starts but the app never shows it connected. They've got some work to do on this one.

Absolutely garbage. Doesn't connect half the time, just shows an error. Slow to sync when it does "work.". Doesn't sync battery, odometer, or anything else useful. I won't buy another Honda, electric or otherwise, because of this app. Run fast, run far. 1 star is too generous, but it's my only option.

one of the worst apps ever, especially for an EV and from a reputed name like Honda. Information is never updated properly. You might be looking at mileage, battery charge, and miles to travel from maybe a couple of months back. App has no practical usage. You can not control any features or settings on the Prologue other than an occasional honk of the cars horn from the app. In over 6 months that I've had the Prologue, I've used the app less than 5 times since it's so useless and disappointing.

Basically useless unless you pay. My car information almost never loads so it's useless for trying to check quick things like milage. Adding to frustration is that it's capable of so much, but they just want you to pay for it. You pay for it and even then those things never work so you feel you've wasted money, but refunds? Out of the question.

This app is buggy and sporadically useful. You may be able to get one command to complete (if you are lucky) and subsequent commands rarely work. At the moment it is completely down. I don't know what is worse, why they haven't replaced their entire development team (this issue has been going on for years) or me PAYING $89 a year for it!

Such a bad app, it just never works. Half the time it's 'down for maintenance' and yet, all the maintenance never makes it work correctly. I have a Prologue that I charge at work, so I have to move my car as soon as it's done charging. I go into the app to see what percentage I'm at and I ALWAYS get hit with the 'Data Unavailable' error. I refresh the app a lot so it's not like it's trying to download a bunch of data at once. The car is parked in an open area. The app just sucks.

The functions in the app go through phases of being operable. The most recent update sends me false information about my vehicle, like "charging interrupted" without my vehicle even charging or being plugged in. Overall, it's filled with bugs, rarely updates even when refreshed, and sends false data. 2 stars for the remote climate function that works sometimes. It's nice to get into a warm car with the seat warmers on.....when it works.

I want to love it but for the price it needs to work more than like 25% of the time. always crashing or saying that the service isn't working and for me to try back in a FEW HOURS. that's not helpful if you need to warm up your car or lock your keys in there. it also doesn't have half of the features that other similar apps have for other cars.

I've been leasing the Honda Prologue since December 2024. The app is highly inconsistent in displaying the status to alert as to battery range even after refreshing multiple times. Yet, I'm able to lock and unlock the car via the app. This is as of today (1/7) and I've been unable to get battery status since the last time it worked on 12/16. I shouldn't have to log out or delete the app and reinstall for it to work properly.

Logs me out frequently. can never remember my password. When clicking forgot password, it tells me to wait 15 minutes to reset. by that time, I can walk to my car and lock it and check the info in it, which defeats the purpose of the app. I get extra steps for the day though, but clearly not woth any paid level membership.

I just bought a 2018 Honda Odyssey and downloaded the app. it worked well for basic information such as tire pressure, fuel and distance left. I wanted to make use of the remote start vs the FOB and bought the $10 monthly subscription. Since then, I get connection issues where the app fails to communicate with the vehicle, remote start issues telling me to try again only to tell me I went over the amount of times I can remote start. All around failure.

What little this app offered for my 3 YEAR OLD CAR barely ever worked, and now Honda is removing support next month, even stressing in their email that they were provided at *no cost.* Wow! Thanks for not locking the most basic info--mileage and oil life simply pulled from the car's computer--behind a subscription model. They could never fix the constant connection issues and crashing, so they're removing support--even for 2026 vehicles!--"to focus on enhancing performance and experience." Lol.
