My app suddenly logged me out and even though I've changed my password the app absolutely will not let me log back in. I'd report it as a bug, but you can't report bugs if you can't get into the app. Update: To anyone who is having the same struggle as I was. As a final attempt, I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. It was only then that I was able to log back in. I hope this helps. Aside from this bug, the app is really helpful.
Ever since the age verification stuff I've not been able to log in or find my account on the app, and I verified my stuff way before the due date. I've tried several times to link back in, but nothing. its really frustrating considering the time and effort I spend on Genshin, not to mention the money I used to put in and can't now. [thanks to them dropping support on ps4 which is where I first began playing.]
I mainly use it for the extra sign in bonuses and check out peoples artwork and cosplays. There's a lot going on in such a dedicated game (or games). i also like that the interactive map is fairly useful and other tools. I dont HAVE to use an outside source or tool. Granted, there may be better out there, but im just a filthy daily log-in casual. If i take the game anymore seriously, then I do, I'll burn out in two weeks
It's great, but sometimes the notifications I get I can't even tap to see where I need to go, it says 'deeplink not supported'. So that's always anouinh that I have to search through all of the app to see where it is. Otherwise tho, it's great. I love being able to use it to see other people's fan art, what they think about characters, and their memes for the game.
It's an alright app when it wants to be. But it's genuinely annoying that you're stuck with the same feed for days, so you don't really see anything new at all. Plus, there's a limit to the block button, which is my main issue with this app. What purpose does a block limit even serve? At the very least, the block limit should be increased, if getting rid of it can't be an option. Curating one's space shouldn't be limited.
I use this app for Genshin Impact, and it's very handy. I mainly use it for the map and check-in tools, as well as easy access to community guides and official announcements. However, I am constantly being bombarded with push notifications even though I have them turned off through the app. I only want to receive notifications for the check-in so I don't forget, but instead I get constantly spammed with random notifs and can't figure out how to make it stop. It's very frustrating.
Has a lot of potential. As a social media for Hoyoverse it's solid, but unless you're able to successfully link your accounts it's useless for much else. A lot of ppl have trouble bc of the new and old account systems clashing with one another, especially on consoles. Look for mHY original account linking instructions if you're having trouble. They've added a lot since I originally wrote this, but I still feel like it's a glorified message board if you can't connect your accounts
As far as resources for their games go, I love it. Guides, maps and all kinds of helpful stuff like redeem codes for in game currency and ways to earn that currency. The interactive map itself is the most helpful tool and worth the download space on my phone. I don't like the social media aspect of it though. Once in a while, it's fun to look up people's game art or cosplays, but I can do that on Google when I want to see it.
It's basically a social media platform, but I use it pretty much only for game resources. Peeps post walk-throughs, character build guides etc. - but the interactive maps that come with the app for their games is worth the space on my phone to me. They do events to give away some in game resources, but some times they give away premium currencies in limited quantities for some reason and they disappear seconds after they're offered. If you play any HoYo games, I recommend checking it out.
Over all good. Just wish the interactive map would sync with my game progress. Like removing the one time items like the closed for the status so to keep track of the ones I still need to find. Because I keep returning to places that I've been because the symbols are still on the map. Or at least let me mark it off to save time so not to return to the claimed locations.
Great app for communicating with other Genshin players and people in general. There are only 2 things I'm unsatisfied with. One is the trolls, which are to be expected since it's social media. The second is the comment filtering! At least make it so we can unfilter the comment so we can read it! I appreciate you looking out for our well-being, but when there's 4 comments that I can't read on my own post, it's a little annoying.
Very good for keeping up with multiple Hoyo games, events, communities, and rewards. My only small issue is the check-in notifications. I always get reminded about missing daily check-ins at 11 pm in my time zone. I would prefer to set a time so it could remind me earlier in the day. This suggestion may seem small, but would be helpful across multiple Hoyo games check-ins.
The app is amazing and convenient itself. I would rate it 5 stars if it weren't for the problem I'm having with it. Ever since I made an account I can't redeem codes, do the daily check in, or log in to anything on the app. These include the travelers diary and such. I haven't been able to find a solution thus far and I was hoping for anyone's advice.
It's a great app for guides, official notifications, tools and such. However, the recent update which moved the Character Channel from the Home section to the Groups section with the characters under their the tab of their respective games was a terrible decision. Not only is it less efficient and harder to find, but the Favorites/Recently Joined section which contained all the characters players are actively accompanying is gone. Players have to hunt and search for their characters now. Awful.
Just like any social media app. I use it to check in and search up guides from time to time, but I wish we could block topics. We can block users and click not interested on posts, but those don't do much to keep content you don't want to see off your feed. Give us the ability to block topics.
The way the home page refreshes 1 second after opening the app almost every single time makes it a massive pain to use. Now I'm sure this is done on purpose to get users to scroll trying to find what they saw, but because the posts aren't just a little further down but disappeared completely, it only makes me avoid the app as best as I can while still doing the daily game logins. On top of that they removed the retry buttons (for internet connection) on most of the widgets for no reason.
You know the hillichurl machine work event on this app? It's terrible, I kept trying to buy primogems and it kept telling me there are network issues. I kept trying, exiting and opening and trying to buy but it did nothing. The two times I missed it but it's fine, I was late. But today I woke up specifically in the middle of the night for it and I couldn't get it because you had some problems in the app. The network was fine in my house.
in short I should say I LOVE hoyolab. it's a nice app for people who play hoyoverse games. it keeps me updated on the games' updates and everything else, it's fun to use too. don't have really much to say, but if there was a chatting option it would be greater though, all I have to say <3
Can't login or reset password. Tried to verify my identity using email 4 days ago and I'm still waiting on the email. Can't reset my password as I've sent "too many requests". I'm just trying to resolve a quest issue on genshin impact.
eh. I use it for the daily check in rewards. The social and posting aspect of it is entertaining, but it's obvious that only certain posts are selected to get publicity. it also feels like the app is just swarmed with a bunch of kids posting whatever
