Filled with ads, stuck in a pairing loop and won't pair. Literally can't even use the tool. Forces you to download multiple apps. Wants your location. No advertising that each manufacturer you want to diagnose costs $22. I've wasted an hour trying to pair this thing and $50 buying it from Walmart. Plus the apps are massive for what they are. Wish it worked. Huge scam!

Only used it a few times a few months back worked ok... have to buy modules for each vehicle at $ 15 each. Not sure how long they are good for. . now my check light just came on today. App keeps stopping. Not worth the money have over $80 invested and it does not work when I need it. It's a money grab that worked a few time in the first week I had it. Would not recommend

I have never been able to use this thing. When I plug it in it will let me connect to Bluetooth (bind it). The light will turn blue indicating it is connected. It will say it was successfully binded on my app. However, it will not go past that point. I have only seen the app itself in pics on here because I cannot go any further than the pairing process.

Was only "okay" until recently, where it connects via Bluetooth , but wont let any of the diagnostics run. Messages related to what its doing flash on the screen for a brief second, then gone. Also, periodic requirement for user name and password required before use needs to go away, once its set up. A big fat ZERO for requiring cloud based services to use the app, and those services are not available when I need to use it!

this thing is a P.O.S. don't want to connect. when it does!! it tells you connected and puts up a OK or cancel notification. no matter what you decide ok or cancel. it sends you back to the beginning and disconnects from the device . every damn time. for like a year now. I've had enough. it's going back RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

Works great, when it works. In the past the actual scanner itself usually quit transmitting a bluetooth signal. And unfortunately, working on cars proves to terminal for my phones. Needless to say, i put their durability thru hell, and everytime, i end up having to go thru just as much hell to tramsfer my subscription over, or have to pay for it again. So here i am, reinstalling the app on a new phone, so lets see how if it any different this time. Thx n God bless

Waste of time & money. The only thing that works is the Bluetooth connection. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, 64bit phone. I CAN NOT download the software! Without software it will not work. When trying to download the software it says "Refreshing", & will until hell freezes over! Contacted support, more time wasted. I was told my phone connection was the problem, even though I had downloaded an app that they wanted me to use & we were talking on the phone while doing it. Buyer beware. DON'T BUY.

Wow, I guess I've ended up getting 3 good scanners from what some people r saying. As far as software you simply download the app that's made for this product. Lol and it's amazing what it allows you to have access too. It reads Barometric pressure per cylinder through programming extra 🔑 's. It can stand up to most of the expensive readers and it's a fraction of what they cost. Will only works one scanner per manufacturer, its cheaper to buy a another scanner than paying the fee 4 dif brand

🤢 yuck you have to buy separate licences for each model vehicle you want to read... Yeah you have the basic stuff for free, but the point of buying this OBD tool itself was so you can read other modules in the vehicles like the ABS. It's made worse that the licences are also only good for one year from date of purchase... What a ripoff. Buyer beware! Not one star because it does at least work. Just be ready to fork out $20+ for each Vehicle OEM IE Ford, Nissan, Chevy. ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯

Very poor software. I downloaded the app as described in the instructions, registered my account and bound the dongle, but it doesn't let me use the app. All I can do is scan for the dongle , bind, and go back to the login screen. Even after pairing via bluetooth I won't throw good money after bad. Perhaps I can get a refund on the dongle before I waste any more of my time.

After a initial problem with getting my one free diagnostic software issue I am impressed with this device.It pairs easily with any of my android devices weather its a expensive or a cheapy.There are cheaper non bluetooth versions of these OBD readers but they are limited functionality.I suggest if you are a serious DIY kinda man ,spend more worry less.After the update to the American car version it's working like a champ 6 months later. It has saved me at least 300 dollars since that. Thanks.

Most of the special functions won't work, a message saying "vin decoding failed" pops every time , contacted customer support twice but they can't figure out the problem. I will give it 5 star if the problem gets fixed. Now is not working at all, vehicle brand files gone and no way to re download them, absolutely worthless

App does not work, followed instructions carefully . Every time I tried to do anything in the app it prompted me to bind the unit to my account. I would do that and it would say product registered successfully...after that anything I would try to do within the app it would prompt me to the same screen to bind the product by scanning the QR code on unit. Hyper Tough are wasting people's time and money by not fully testing their software. Half of the reviews are from people that it doesn't work.

If i could give this a zero star rating i would. I bought mine in NOVENBER and haven't been able to use it not even once!! Terrible !! Every time i try the app just crashes and kicks me out to my phones home screen. I've been on the phone for hours with support and have gotten absolutely nothing done. I literally paid this company$50 for a headache. Never once did i get to use the thing. Ya, I'm pissed.

Works amazingly & has saved me from a headache on several occasions! I've got a note 10+ & the only issue I have is that occasionally it takes a minute to pair & connect, which isn't a big enough issue for me to give it anything less than a 5 star rating. Im not a certified mechanic but I have used it on my own vehicle as well as several others to find an issue, fix it & erase any codes that have popped up & to recalibrate stuff as well. If you know how to use the app correctly it is amazing!

Does what it claims, most of the time. Worked well at first, then it claimed I need to "bind" my VCI, months later. I couldn't find the original packaging so it just didn't work for a long time then suddenly did again. If an update comes out you can do NOTHING until you update. New firmware causes the same issue. Does not function at all if the host device doesn't have an internet connection to advertise more Autel products. Works otherwise as advertised.

It was great when I first got it, worked like a charm. I was able to figure out all the trouble codes as they came because of this but now for some reason I can't sign into my account on the app. I can on the site but yeah it keeps saying server communication error.

The package should state what phones this device only works if you have 64 bit phone /tablet. Completely useless and a HUGE waste of time and money. Still have receipt, package unopened... Unless Autel is releasing an update to make this app work with 32 bit devices within the next few days, this goes back and Autel is off my list of trusted brands. Bad bad bad Autel... I'm extremely disappointed.

Great app and dongle, now i have a scanner in my pocket whenever i need one, no cords to carry around. Reads all makes and model for free, if you want to get into the dealer side of the modules you pay a subscription per vehicle manufacturer to access those, even my professional scanners have a subscription for manufacturer specific software and that was on top of $3000 you pay for the scanner. If you don't know what you're doing its because you don't know what you're doing. Great product Autel.

This is a joke. First it will not connect, after - it will tell you to update firmware, after it will disconnect during update and will die. Red light . Hardware or firmware that comes in this device is a 🤣. Taking it back to Walmart. And sounds that app makes every 5 to 10 seconds is annoying. But since it was born dead - it doesn't matter.
