I use to love this app, but ever since the upgrade the camera motion controls ↕️ do not appear. Whats up with that!? They work on the baby monitor. But sometimes I'm outside and want to check in on the kids playing and only have my phone Or when we are out the house. Also keep getting Connection Error on 1 camera out of three. All on the same home network. Would like to put in a request, kindly add back camera motion controls into the app. Thank you.
Worthless. I consider myself somewhat tech savvy but this thing is impossible. The directions are wrong. Directions say plug in wait for beep. It never beeped. Then It says hold pair button for 3seconds or more until you hear ready for pairing. Well that never happened. When I finally ignored the directions, I managed to get the thing paired but never actually got it fully setup. What else could I expect from made in China?
I literally tried about 15 times and couldn't get the app to connect to my camera. It kept saying it was connected, but then on the next screen would say "unable to communicate to the camera." I got Error Code 1. I give up. What makes it worse is that the app is the best way to view the camera. I tried the website, and I couldn't get it to work there either due to it using the outdated, and soon to be obsolete, Flash! 🤦🏽♂️
A lot of times I have to close the app and reopen it to view the camera stream again after I leave the app or it'll just stay on "connecting". Also itd be nice if people weren't charged a monthly premium for sleep diary if you already spent $300+ for the premium Halo+. As for the stream quality its good, just some of the colors are messed up, like my brown crib looks purple on camera and you have to have a substantial amount of light in the room for it to come off night vision mode.
I just updated the app & now it just keeps giving me a Connectivity Error. Before the update, I had no problems. I am really frustrated at this point. *****Update....it has been a week since the issue has started & nothing has been resolved. This is absolutely ridiculous. I've had no problems in the last year that I've had this & with the new update, nothing wants to work properly. I just keep getting a run around from the Company. Would not recommend this brand.
We have had the monitor (and app) for 14 months and all of a sudden, we are now asked to pay a membership fee to use the app! The camera doesn't pan or tilt, has poor resolution, and the handheld monitor only holds a charge for about 1.5 hours if not plugged in, which isn't even long enough to get through 1 nap! The monitor has poor range of motion, so we had to rig it to the wall because otherwise the way it had to be mounted didn't give us a view of the crib. I am glad to have a video monitor but I wouldn't recommend this one. Very disappointed in the app at this point now too, which was the main reason we bought this monitor was to have remote access. It crashes a lot, doesn't always connect or alert motion or sound despite settings, and now all of a sudden costs a monthly fee!!
We love this app! So helpful for keeping track of feedings! We have used it religiously for my 3 month old whole life. Helps when it's time for doctor visits to tell them how many ounces a day he eats and how often etc. My main complaint is the time setting. when you try to pick a day in the past from calendar, it always jumps ahead a day. Also really don't like that the clock you enter on uses military time. It's unnecessary and confusing! Just give us an AM/PM button instead!
Update: now can't connect at all! Update: Still one of the worse products I've used. Can not rely on it even after several software updates. Update: interface improved, but the service is now worse. Now the Camera is always showing as "Offline" and the motion notifications don't work. This product should be pulled from the shelves. Disconnects from camera often, needs a modern interface design upgrade & the hardware that goes with the product doesn't have a long lasting battery and is faulty.
one of the worst security camera systems available! there is no option to record video clips unless you subscribe to their service. there are other cameras out there that do let you record for free. (tend secure is my go to) the worst thing about this system is that if the power to the camera fails, you have to press a button on the camera while your phone is near to sync them. does anyone else see a problem with this?! if the power goes out while you're on vacation, forget about capturing video
The app is okay -- once the device is paired, everything works fine. However, the connection is shotty. It takes a while to re-pair, it takes a long time to connect when turning it on again, and can often lose connection while streaming. I know we have a strong wifi connection, so it is definitely the device itself. Since our camera comes with a wireless monitor, this isn't too bad. But it can get annoying if relying on the phone alone.
My Motorola camera and monitor are actually pretty good if you're using them in sync. This app is super buggy though. Works about 30% of the time which makes it extremely unreliable. We had lots of problems with it about 6 months ago but I tried to use it again while on vacation. Most of the time, it will not connect with the camera even though everything is set up and it was working properly an hour before that ("Camera status change failed"). I've got the latest software so that shouldn't be the issue. Great concept when it actually works
Love this setup. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was due to minor issues with the phone aspect. Sometimes the app doesn't connect to the camera or half the frame is blurred. You have to change the pixels or restart the app to fix it. Also, when you minimize the camera to open another app, the app automatically disconnects and displays an error.
Seriously it's terrible. I'm completely connected and yet still have problems connecting to my camera! When it finally does connect, it's out 2 seconds later "getting the stream" and for way too long! Been trying to look now for 20 minutes. You'd think after a year and a half, we'd stop having "connection problems". Off to find a better server.
After getting a motion alert, it takes to long to get to live feed that whatever was there is gone. Try to watch recorded video and buffers everytime half way through video I don't get to see the whole thing. Figured if I got the payed subscription it would be better but it's not. Very disappointed! Camera and App are junk! Don't waste your time or money.
Thanks for the split screen camera view, it lags but on a good path to being perfect....... previous comment "I have 6 cameras and am planning on adding more but having to switch between cameras, I am missing what is going on. I own a business and using these cameras it saves me countless hours at the business. But watching all 6+ cameras at one time would give it a five+ star rating in my opinion. Also the time out feature is a no go, I pay for Internet let me use it!"
App works well enough but some serious issues. Noticed my phones battery was dying faster than it should and the battery monitor said it was because of this app. I force closed it but 3 hours later the battery is still draining and just got notified 90% of my data has been used. Had to restart my phone to get it to stop running behind the scenes. Such a shame as I've enjoyed using it to monitor my kids at night and when I'm away.
Always has issues connecting to the camera. Sometimes works, most of the time it doesn't. You can call support and go through their process a million times, but will still have issues. My neighbor has the same one and says hers never works either. This was the entire reason we bought this baby camera for the wifi capability with this app. Super disappointed!!!
Constant connectivity issues. Our internet/wifi is decent in our house. We have an extender to help. But the stream on this constantly disconnects or freezes or the whole app just shuts down. Very frustrating! Also, I hate the ads and promos to subscribe. I've already bought the camera, I'm not subscribing to anything.
I just bought this camera and trying it out and so far it is good. I have to try out the night Vision and see if that works just as well. the only thing is that video lags. It could be the internet connection but I doubt it. I will have to trouble shoot it. Also, I have to see how long the battery lasts on a full charge. The manual and box it came in, states 3 months on a single charge. So, for now, I give you 3 stars and if I see that it improves, I will re-evaluate my rating for this camera.
I absolutely love this app and the widgets available! We got the camera and didn't realize the app would help in so many other ways. We use it to track growth, feedings, diapers, sleep schedule, and pumping. Our little guy was born small and needed a little oxygen when he first arrived, so tracking his habits closely has been crucial. I had started tracking in a journal but it was tedious. The easy to use widgets and ability to put photos in the diaper change logs have been a LIFESAVER!
