HuntStand: GPS Maps & Tools

The app used to be great, (I used HS for a decade plus). Within the last few updates later it's garbage. It will not save items without taking a million years and some luck if it even saves at all. This past season, it's tracking system has failed more times than it worked. Saved the track, then go back and it's missing. Most of my pins I save through a hunt or scouting trip, are gone. Every email to huntstand, they respond with, clear cache and or reinstall the app. Unacceptable.

Screwed up the tracking. The app it self is pretty good. I have enjoyed the app for the last 3years. Being able to mark stands and hunting areas. I like to track my path while hunting and mark stands found and animals killed on the hunt. Well sometime since last season the update changed things. I used to be able to mark things while tracking my path but now I have to stop and save the path before marking objects. Then start the track back up. it's a real pain and time consuming.

I've had this app for many years, and it's always done good until this year. Around October, I noticed that the wind direction would not be current or accurate on the app versus the weather channel. A black screen would always appear 1st, And when I would pick a certain location to check wind, it would always go to one particular site over and over and I would have to go back-and-forth to get it to finally download a particular location.. it's frustrating. Im thinking about canceling.

This app used to be simple, fast, and full of features. Over time it's getting incredibly slow, with tons bugs and crashes. It takes too long to start up. And almost every time something goes wrong or it works at a snail's pace. Weather won't load, wind analysis won't load, solunar won't load, changing hunt areas stays where your GPS is located, icons don't load, icon filter doesn't work often, property overlay doesn't load, and many more. This is all with good cell/WiFi and a flagship phone.

Have been using this app for a long time. I have been a paid user for years. It used to be great, now they force paid upgrade popups down your throat. You have to back out multiple times to clear it. The icons and lines fail to load and require relogging sometimes several times. I cannot click on icons or lines/shapes like you used to making it very difficult to alter. They seem to have to most up to date property owner information, but that's the only positive I can come up with recently.

You guys did a great job screwing up a perfect app! I've been using the paid version for years and it's been great...but NO, you just had to f--- with it. None of my stand locations load now, the wind cone won't show up, it automatically shows me at my location, even when trying to view a different farm...nothing works as it should. TERRIBLE APP NOW

Huntstand used to be the best. I've used it for many years. But recently it has gone seriously down hill and is getting worse. It started with a few little map glitches here and there and now the map glitches every time I open it. The map is literally black when I open the app. once I finally get it to open the way points dont show up. when you click on your hunt area it doesn't bring you there. and worse of all the wind data is all out of whack. seriously disappointing.

I've used this app for a long time but in the last 18 months or so it has become practically useless. When the weather was added to the main page is when it took a nose dive. It's wrong very often, requires to be updated before you can use the rest of the app, and I rarely look at it. If I open app in an area with poor signal I can't use it. I used to be able to navigate without signal, not anymore. And the Solunar frequently fails to load or does and disappears. Fix or I'm gone.

Huntstand used to be the best out there but now it's practically useless. When you open your hunt areas if you're not in that area it takes you to where you are. you have to physically move the map sometimes hundreds of miles to get to your hunt area. GPS location is no longer accurate. Off as much as 100 yds. Most likely going to move over to Onyx unless something changes soon. I know they have a deal with the NWTF. as a former chapter president and active member I would not recommend this app!

I have had this app for several yrs. it started out as a really good source for hunting info but it's went down hill the last couple of year's. I've been a loyal customer and pushed away from other hunting apps but this is getting ridiculous, glitches, its slow and wrong weather info. please correct these problems and I'll continue to be a loyal customer.

I have used this app for many years, I think 8 years. I didn't have a problem with it until October, it was slow and bugging. The latest update a few days ago have left me on a black screen. Also, the email invites to other people in your group to join and see the maps dont work. Luckily, my season is over, and I got my deer. I also have a physical backup map of my spots, so I am hoping to just wait it out. It doesnt change the fact that I pay $30/year just for the app to not work.

used to be great. I've been with these guys for years. Always loved this app. so much work on my maps and useful pre-hunt data down the drain. not useful when I can't load wind data. another new problem is when I load any hunting location, no matter where it will first show my current gps location instead. I have to click the same location from my list two or three times to get it to load the actual hunt location map. super aggravating..

Worked great when I first downloaded years ago. Made maps of my property and all the trails we drive on. The app let's you share maps with your friends. Now my original lines of the trails changed to straight lines that do not come remotely close to the real trails. my friends maps show the original lines but not my map. When I select the lines to edit or delete them and I can not even do that. When I trace new lines they turn out right but my old map has to be remade, that took days to make.

I've been a Hunstand subscriber for 4 years. The first 2 years, wonderful. Easy to use, worked well. For last 2 years, every major update is like a nuclear bomb. Maps won't load, constantly have to close and reopen to get the data to load. To potential new subscribers, avoid this and go with any other comparable app. Huntstand, get your act together.

use to be good now it's un usable. a decade worth of time and updating tree stands, property marks, deer paths , harvest. gone in the blink of an eye unless you want to pay the $100 a year. use to be able to save all that stuff along with using wind direction and other features for free then it was the lower tier paid which we were fine with because it was reasonably priced. now $100 a year? nope . not doing it. especially since it crashes all the time. we are seeking a new app

This app has gotten so bad it is unreal. I was trying to use it during deer season and not only does it completely stop working when you don't have cell service now but the ads are unbearable. You used to be able to use it fine so long as it was loaded beforehand. But the moment I lose signal I also lose my pins. Are you kidding me? Also I was trying to follow a trail I put on the app to get to my spot before sunrise and got hit with ads to upgrade 5 times in less than a minute. Unacceptable.

This app was awesome when it first came out. It seems like after every update it's gotten worse and worse. Also, I used an old email I don't have access to and it's still charging me today. I have no way of canceling my payments, changing my email, or doing anything. I am not sure how it's still charging me because the card on my old account doesn't even exist anymore but it still is. I contacted HuntStand and they would not help me and said it's a Google Play issue. Horrible customer service

hunt stand has become unreliable. mapping only works properly intermittently. lines and boundaries etc. sometimes don't show up. when I choose a hunt area the map goes to my current location instead of the chosen hunt area. sometimes maps don't change to selected map type. the problems happen even with a good wifi connection. PLEASE FIX YOUR APP. I'd rather not drop it, but I will If it isn't fixed real damn soon.

I've been using huntstand from the very start. I have loved this app over others for many years until the last year or two. It seems as if the app is now slow. It doesn't load things or show stuff it usually would take a second to bring up. I pay for the services, and it has gradually gotten worse and has almost become more of a burden to try and use. I hate to say these things, but it's true. Im a mad and frustrated customer.

In the last year the app has had nothing but problems. I can no longer manage over lays or navigation features if I'm in an area without signal (which is all the time where I hunt). There have been too many glitches to count, including most recently yesterday the app not recognizing that I pay for the premium subscription, locking me out of most of the features, and then constantly bombarding me with messages to pay (again) for a subscription package. All this occurring when I'm trying to hunt.
