Charging schedule is terrible. randomly starts charging when you don't want & it shut off charging at 4:45 this morning for no reason, so not enough charge this morning! Good to control functions from eg turn on climate. Unnecessarily confusing controls. You have to get in the car to change the charge rate, why not from the app? Would be nice to see energy consumption on journeys you select, not just average for the month.
14/01/26 last 3 times hasn't changed during night. even on the new app. won't be paying in March when they start to charge. even thinking this will be my last Hyundai 18/05/25 two nights in a row Won't connect anymore , all home WiFi ok . Still the same. Set to charge night time rate only works 50% of the time so wake up ready for work no charge. Keeps changing charging to 50%
Not user friendly and the 'car finder' does not take you to the car with the UK version. USA version seems to do this. Also remote unlocking and starting the car in the UK version is not available. This app cannot come close to Tesla app. Very disappointed
The app itself is useful but the free version has shut down now after it's trial period. I've been trying for weeks to subscribe to the paid plan, following the steps in the multiple reminders, but my attempts are never accepted. Now it's thrown me out completely and I can't access the 'Bluelink Store' online, or through the car. QR doesn't work, I enter the VIN or FIN and it's not recognised. The App has closed my account and I can't find any way to subscribe. Frustrating and misleading.
Although I love my Kona Ultimate Electric, this app appears to be a half finished beta version! The many options are chaoticly organised so it's very hard to find what you are looking for. For example, in "Status" you should be able to simply change those options (not just view them). Also, although I am using "miles" the range is usually in "km". Weirdly, sometimes it shows in miles for a while. Let me know if you want my input to help you make this app as good as the car!
Was good until it wasn't! Only got the car (ioniq 5 2nd hand) 4 weeks ago. For the first 3 weeks the app worked great - did exactly what it should have. Then it stopped working. It says lights are on when they aren't and the notification won't cancel. None of the remote features work. There's no way we'll be paying for the app when this runs out. Can't charge the car remotely. Can't preheat remotely. Can't route plan remotely. Can't check the car's status remotely.
The biggest problem is it keeps forgetting charging schedule, every week or two. This is so annoying! Please get this fixed!! One other annoying thing is the time between sending a remote command and the notification that the command has been received by the car is too long, sometimes up to 20 seconds, and you can't do anything in between.
I no longer pay attention to the locked status and notifications as it is so unreliable. I'm often told the car is left unlocked, but when I go to check, it is locked. Also, the MFA prompt for my thumb to lock the car feels a bit excessive and adds an unnecessary step to the process of securing my car. Finally, the repeated request to connect to an account on the car is frustrating. Just let me select no once and not every time I open the app.
It used to be fairly useful but now suddenly I can't sign in because the genius developers who built the application decided to prevent password managers from entering the password for the user. The whole point is not knowing the password and making it long, but these guys want to force the user to type it! even worse, they now limit the number of characters in the password text box, despite having previously accepted more characters when registering. Genius. Pure genius.
1. Charging information is totally inaccurate. Out by a factor of 10 or more. 2. If you set up a scheduled charging time you cannot override it. You have to disable the schedule and if you then re-enable it it loses the time. 3. It deletes the stored trip information but does not warn you. This data cannot be backed up. I've had my car for 10 months and cannot understand why such a well designed car is supplied with software which is so full of basic bugs and limitations.
Frustrated user. I've been using this app since December 2021 without issue. However since 2nd Sept I am repeatedly getting the following message, "... you've exceed the maximum number of vehicle checks allowed per day ....." when attempting to log on to the app. Currently I can no longer access any of the functionality. This was a good before but now it is useless!
it works but has one very annoying feature. it refuses to display the range in miles, despite updating the settings. It's basically the same app as used for Kia (my previous car) and when I reported it, they said they're working on a fix. That was seven years ago!!! Come on people! June '25 ~ still no fix on this. I get a nice big number but km makes no sense to me! surely it's a simple fix ????
unfortunately, the update has been very poorly implemented. only a few days notice by email how to renew a subscription. As not done in time, the app does not allow you to renew your subscription after deactivating. An object lesson in how not to set up a new implementation in an app. Appalling service. Also, the deactivation causes a number of random resets in the infotainment. Thank you for the reply. This confirms the poor job on this. says email sent beginning April, it was sent on 29th.
Generally found the app on, but a bit difficult to work out how to change any settings other than the basic ones. But as of a few weeks ago it's suddenly decided to fail to connect to the car so I can't use the remote settings at all. Shows as though all well, but won't update the status or send any commands. Especially frustrating as the car often fails to connect to the charger without me pressing disconnect and connect a few times through the app.
Embarrassingly bad experience. Day-to-day use has been fine, but when coming up to the end of my free period I got a notice to renew my subscription. Attempted to follow the link every day for a week and got nothing but an error message. When the term ended, the car reset itself to factory settings. This, it turned out, removed its ability to go online. When trying to reactivate my bluelink, I now find its impossible, as my car can't go online to fetch the terms of use - meaning I'm stuck
Awful app for such a big car company. After my free subscription ended, I was locked out of the app without the ability to log in and purchase the plan. Then my car was reset to factory settings. I emailed support, and they said it was fixed and extended my trial for a week. However, I texted them back telling them that I still can't purchase the plan as I got an error; I was unable to log in.
The latest update of the app has logged me out of my car and the car will no longer let me reconnect to Bluelink. This has always been a buggy and bad app. Most commands sent from the phone do not work first time. You do not get notifications of when charging has started or if it stopped unexpected. But now I am locked out and thoroughly annoyed. The app for my 2017 bmw i3 is always reliable, is free, has charging inside the app is cheaper charging also. There is no reason for this to be so bad
Sometimes works, mostly not. If I open the app once, next few days I repeatedly get messages, that car ist not closed. It's closed! But makes me worried at the worst times. And not possible to lock remote, because of some errors. And now I get emails that to use the app I need to buy an abo, which I would never do. I worry much less without constant error messages about not locked car.
So far so good. Begginer app, but I get it, you make good cars, you're not codewriters. Just spent 30 minutes of review reading here trying to figure out why on my brand new Kona N, the only "remote" controls I have are lock and unlock ( pointless, i have the key for that ), and no climate control ( very helpful in cold or hot days ) because erupean law prohibites the car engines to be on idle. You could have say that before spending money on something you promised to come with the app?
Cannot connect through wifi. It worked fine on Android, both mobile data and wifi, we had power cut and will now only work on mobile data, it comes up with network error if you turn wifi back on..... Thanks for info. Strangely, when using the cars, yes we have 2 Hyundai's, the wifi kicked back in, and all seems fine. Appreciate your quick reply.
