Idle Kingdom Defense

I like the game, don't get me wrong. One of the very, very few mobile games that makes getting in-game currency quite easy. Only issues are as follow: 1. As others have said, the archer upgrade system needs a major overhaul. Even with gems it's such a hassle to risk losing progress, several times in a row. 2. I understand the need for ads. But lately, and on this game in particularly, some ads will not let you close them until you interact with them. They'll just stay there. Super annoying.

wat I wish AFK Arena was like. lots of systems, but not overbearing, lots of game modes that retain the core gameplay, so it's just the same game in different setting. Creative ways to make the currency worth ad-ing for. The pricing, currency, and rates are all fair, but starting up is difficult. $12 ad. removal is also fair, but I'm unwilling, so I watched my share of ads. They're impactful throughout the game, but much more so at the start. I was able to wane off ads. EXCEPT Speed&auto prog.

To start off, I have really enjoyed the game and I think it's great, however I have some suggestions as someone who's put about a month into it. I've got most of my units that I use up to rare with a couple epics and am making progress into the 2000s in stages. I'd like to see more options in the stores, I get so much currency at this point from Portals, expeditions, and ruins, that I can literally buy everything and have money leftover. I have other suggestions as well, but limited space here.

Really good mix of Idle and active. No money grabbing nonsense. I'm well into end-game (wave 8,000 playing a few months) and am surprised at how well the game evolves. I wish there was more build diversity. Once you level a stun/freeze team you can fully lock down the entire field so it's just, "wait 10 minutes until archers whittle things down." But I'm not at that level of end game yet.

This is a gacha game. However, it does so in a very nuanced, easy to FTP or low cost to play way. I paid for the no ads pack, which gives me ongoing benefits forever. If you fail a "ticket" mission, you don't lose your ticket. There's a lot of great quality of life things with this game that differentiate it from other gacha games. It's not a cash grab, it's just good idle fun.

I really like this game. It's not pay to play. There are ads but you're not forced to watch them. You just get good benefits if you do. My only gripes are that it feels like higher lvl hero drop rates have changed in the last few weeks. I went from getting a S every 10th or so to not getting any in days. Also I've never gotten 1000 rubies. It went from 300-600 on average to 100s almost every time in the last week. Statistically I should've gotten a 1000 by now multiple times.

Overall pretty straightforward game. I really like the fact that I don't have to struggle with diamonds like most game does. The ad is also not intrusive at all. I really enjoy playing this without ad and offline, and if I want to get extra things, I can watch ad at my own pace. I ended up purchasing the no ad option because I really like their non-intrusive way of doing business. The game does get a little repetitive but also more challenging as I progress to higher level.

I really can't say enough about this game. Well balanced and just enough to do to keep progress moving, but not overwhelming. I did purchase the ad removal and although it may seem initially steep, there are so many benefits for it. You get permanent x2 speed and daily rewards are 1 click away. The devs give gems out every week and you always have more than you need.

Fun to play when you have a few minutes to spare. Animation style is enjoyable. Can spend money but can also watch ads. Ads never pop up. You select them from an ads section, I find this to be a classy way of doing things. Only on lvl 30, will up to 5 star if all things remain consistent. Edit: Still enjoyable on lvl 700. Definitely repetitive like others have said but I don't really care.

This is a nice little grinding game. It is all idle, but you have several different ways to upgrade your characters and a lot of different modes to challenge your team. Very f2p friendly, you get plenty of pulls and gear just from playing. And there is no stamina, you can farm as much as you like. This is perfect for multitasking, you can set your auto farm and then come back later and upgrade and tackle the next challenge. No PvP as of yet, just you against the game. Definitely recommend!

This is one of my favorite idle games out on the market. It's designs are simple, and the daily and weekly rewards make logging in early in my morning worth it. You don't need to spend any money to get what you want because it's not that grindy, however it does speed up the some minor things. I usually leave this game on level clearing while in class and come back after to check on the progress. Worth it. My only complaint is the semi low drop rate for hero equipment is, overall would recommend.

As of writing this review I am character level 563 and stage 7258. For those of you looking for a decent game I recommend this one. Been playing for a few months and haven't spent more than removing ads (yes its pretty worth it for daily rewards and pertinent autobattle). I agree that the rune system for heros is broken (only into blue runes this far into the game... kinda sad when all 3 stars are max rank) but outside of that I've been able to progress steadily and have plenty to do if I want.

The game play is boring and tedious. It doesn't have good pacing/progression like Kingdom Rush (the art style they used). It has too much micro transactions, and it's clear the game is designed around that primarily. It's disappointing to see a decent game idea be compromised by a bad business model. There's so much leveling up, it's trivialized. Way too much add ons like gear, multiple currencies, etc, and time gated events that are really just the same game with better rewards. :(

So far I find this an enjoyable experience there are no in your face ads to suffer through to progress in the game. The ability to either click and forget or micromanage your battles is a plus as well. From what I can tell there doesn't appear to be a larger world where other players can come in and take gold or ruin your defenses so I'm gonna keep this game for a while.

It's a fun game and I appreciate how easy it is to earn in game currency. Also removing ads is nice. But the archer items enhance system feels bs and rigged. Failing multiple straight attempts at 80% chance to succeed. Not once but almost every time. I've enjoyed it but now I'm done. Can't progress much and honestly it's gotten pretty stale.

Good idle game. Quick battles, plenty of free currency. After around level 4000 I decided I've seen the whole game, after that it's just a grind to get numbers up. Most idle games are like that, just get old after awhile. Nothing bad here, worth a try, but nothing to keep me longer either.

Unsatisfying gameplay, slow progression, good graphics. A big problem with this game is that it hadn't solved how to have varied gameplay. Each level is pretty much the same and you effectively do the same thing: press play and go afk for a few minutes. Progression is sloooooow, like ridiculously so. And it's spread out over so many gear, heroes, and different types of gear that even a good roll isn't exciting. Only nice thing are the graphics and the fact that there's no multiplayer.

Was a fun game and you advanced really quickly. Now it's grinded to a halt and advancement is really slow. The Runes in particular are a problem. The more you advance, the lower the probability of success in advancement. I think its simply there to annoy the player. Why not just raise the chance of success and lower the number of times a player has to advance them?

Been playing for about 3 weeks now and love the game (stage ~3600). Here are some suggestions though. Can you please add an auto gear enhance button. For example, calculate however many scrolls it would take to get to x level. It's a pain pressing enhance 30-40 times if I keep going up and down. Please allow more than 9 gear to be dismantled at a time. Also, can you add a "do not display today" option when buying hero shards.

Good game! I find myself coming back to this game everyday there are updates constantly however they are usually small. I enjoy the grind of leveling up my characters, weapons armor and more. Constructive criticism-wise I would say there needs to be more boss monsters. A better description of what sort of damage my heroes are outputting would be nice. It would also be nice if you could sweep Battlefield levels depending on your Heroes levels and armor. Still a great game overall!
