iHome Clean

My app was just updated today and it is horrible. I never was able to save rooms or mark no go zones but now I can't even see a map when it is done cleaning!! When the vacuum is running you can barely see where it is currently because the icon is so faint and they made the path taken color a very light baby blue color on a light grey background. It certainly does not look anything like the provided screen shots! Y'all need to hire some experience design staff!!!

Vacuum worked fine until the app insisted it needed to update. It would never go past 0%. I tried many times. It also prevented it's use until it was upgraded. I won't buy another ihome product as long as they force updates which at inconvenient times, and don't work. 11/23 App finally updated, it wiped out my password. It wouldn't let me use the vacuum until I recovered the it. So, it's useless if you ever lose the password. Stick with a traditional vacuum cleaner. Not worth it.

At this time, I can't use the app. Every time, I try to use it to operate my smart vac, the app crashes. I can't even type a message to customer service because it crashes again. I have cleared the cache and data. I have Uninstalled and installed the app. It still crashes, and I get an error statement saying the app has a bug and I have to wait for an update. This has been going on for months.

I can't get the vacuum to work every want. The lights on the vacuum are green. when I press them they don't react. the app keeps telling me to pick an area or region. I hit start & the app tells me to check the status of the vacuum. How? the lights are stuck on green and are not responding. Maybe I shouldn't have bought this thing and just stick with my regular vacuum cleaner. I am very unhappy and frustrated with both the vacuum and way more frustrated with the app!Whish I could return it.

From the start this app did not work on 3 different phones, droid nor apple based... after several hours and attemps.. it finally connected to my phone only for it to continuously say "check if new version is updated".. if you select "sure" it says "firmware updating,pls wait a minute" for 5 minutes to return you back to the home screen, only to repeat the same pop-up everytime you select your vacuum.. if you select "cancel" it automatically sends you back to home screen as well. Never updates

The worst app ever. The mapping doesn't work at all. The unit can barely find its way back to base. I had to tape it down in order for it to work. Within the first week I was getting errors from the main brush. It was all fixable and the robot continues to do its job but, cost benefits analysis is still out. I got it for pretty cheap.

Vacuum moves off charger with TV remote and drains it's battery. Doesn't know when it's at the charger/ doesn't automatically empty. App loses electronic fences on software upgrades. Doesn't adjust for daylight savings time. Phone and app remember different passwords...this is the only app I have that issue with so I don't think it's my phone. Vacuum often stuck under chairs, behind doors, etc. Thanks for the offer of help but benn there, tried that, was told there are no solutions

This app is total garbage now with the update. Takes forever for app to realize I have a unit already set up. The unit STILL will randomly be non responsive and I have to turn it completely off and back on then manually dock it so it'll show on the app. Return your product and get a roomba if you have to use this app. It's not worth it. Oh and it take FOREVER to load anything on the map. I know it's my my s23 ultra thats taking long to load.

Well they added back the manual empty feature which is great cause sometime it doesn't auto empty for some reason. Occasionally the robot gets lost going back to the charger and drives all over before eventually finding it's way back. I've got three IHome Nova which I purchased used. One requires a software update which the app says every time I use that particular unit, but the app says the device needs to be charged. It's charged but it refuses to update the unit's software.

The iHome app doesn't save any of the mapping information that it collects while the autovac is doing it's job. It's supposed to be able to control the vac just as the physical remote does. I have yet to figure out how to do that. It seems to keep track of the status of the vacuum but it doesn't stay paired with my phone. It's almost worthless. The vacuum is easy enough to figure out which is a good thing because the videos online are not always available and when they are theyless than helpful

The most counterintuitive app. You cannot save an updated map. It constantly reverts back to the map it made a year ago that does not have my boundaries and cleaning zones. Every time the vacuum is knocked off the charger and powers down I lose the map. If it updates, I lose the map. Then I have to spend 20 minutes reestablishing boundaries. I almost want to throw the whole thing away and buy a different vacuum. Allow us to save any map at any time!!

Seems like every time I open the app it's a new issue. I have 2 of these vacuums and they both have the same issues at the same time. Weird numbering instead of the room names, maps disappearing and constantly having to dig for the old ones, saying "target area unable to be reached" when there's nothing in the way, not returning to charging base, not spot cleaning... the frustration is unreal.

Since the update a few weeks ago, we can't get the stupid thing to connect to Wi-Fi anymore. The app is useless now. Before the update, I enjoyed the convenience of the app to run and set up everything for our vacuum. Now all that is gone, and it just say Offline all the time. We've tried everything.

WORST APP EVER! Anybody that gives it more than 2 stars is either a paid influencer or a pererson that doesn't use their vacuum AT ALL. this app alone has made me reconsider ever buying another iHome product. we have had our robotic vacuum for 2+ years and all I can say is GARBAGE! truly GARBAGE... and the epic failure of iHome and it's support staff is clearly evident by the continued 1 star ratings. FIX THIS APP, or find a new line of work! Please...

Spend way too much time reinstalling the machine to the app. One day it will just no longer be listed and I have to reinstall it and sometimes it doesn't want to reinstall. It's frustrating that I can't walk in the store I bought it from and buy filters and etc.

Just downloaded app & it won't let me set up account. After name & email, it won't go any further. The box is checked for updates & promotions. After I hit done, it won't do anything. 🙄Have tried creating account several times. Still nothing. 🤷‍♀️

Could use some help dialogs. Had no idea 'boundaries' meant 'no go zone', and it doesn't say what the voice commands are.. are we supposed to magically know them? Also needs to support multi-story houses.. a simple 1-2-3 icon to switch between maps would be plenty. Otherwise pretty good. Liking the Nova, although the first one came dead on arrival.

I like the new update but some features are no longer there that I used. I can't figure out how to rename rooms (for voice activation) I also used to be a little trash button so if it was in the middle of cleaning a room and it was really bad I could click the trash button for it to dump then it would continue back where it was. That is no longer available. I do like that I can now customized suction setting on every room.

The app is horrible. After update it only crashes. There is no mapping capabilities anymore. I am ready to return item to Amazon. I sent a message to support, no response. I would suggest you look for a better company. Inspite of the claim that the map on the app has not been changed the one follow up message said that the app will not save any maps. It has saved maps on a 30 day basis for 4 months. Now it doesn't. Finally there has been no follow up phone call as stated.

New version is old one stripped down. Features that were present in the old version are removed such as ability to set areas and no go zones as polygons rather than just rectangles and ability to change vacuum level and water rate on the fly are missing. This was present in the old app and I'm confused as to how hard it would be to retain. Setting areas now include a thick border square making it difficult to determine where, exactly, the borders will land on the map. Don't up date.
