Instarem: Send money overseas

Has a lot of requirements to get verified and keeps on asking for more even if provided with SSN, driver's license and utility bills already. It's still not enough they want more. I just want to simply send money but it's taking too long just to get verified. Instarem is like no other compared to other money transfer app with their verification process. time wasted

Problematic from the beginning. Waited forever to get verified while they asked for information about my son. I do not have a son. Eventually, I was able to make a few small transactions which took successively longer each time. Asked to upload documents on 4th transaction, which I did promptly. After that nothing happened and when I followed up about the status of the transaction, they locked my account without any explanation or communication. I have opened a ticket.

The name is an oxymoron. I made a transfer via debit card. I was debited the same day. Transfer is past the window it was supposed to come. Because it's been debited, they won't let me cancel it, despite it being late. I tried to open the chat, but it never opens when clicking the button! Now I'm left wondering when, if ever, my transfer will go through and how I could even ask a question to support as they've, in effect, blocked me from doing so.

The best exchange rate one can get anywhere. They give you the real exchange rate for the day. The process is slower as compared to any other transfer systems. If it is not urgent but you want best exchange rate, none other can be your choice than InstaRem. The name doesn't suit by the way, but I hope they are in process of getting it fixed.

I've given many chances to instarem due to the high exchange rate although a system issue always comes up. When adding a funding account, a 'something went wrong' error always appeared. I figured to use the payee method to bypass this error which functioned well for the first three transactions although the next two I'm asked to provide a bank statement. I don't mind so much except their website only allows one document at a time when often it is also necessary to submit a screenshot too.

Edit 03/19/2021 My account is blocked for no reason whatsoever. I am shocked and they wouldn't reply nicely or clearly. I couldn't find the transparency nor the reason as why my account can be blocked? So decreasing the rating of the app due to their negligence on putting me in such spot. --- It gives a really good rate and transer days are fast. I really like it.

I used instarem for years, never had a bad experience. Money transfer was always prompt. Recently I felt like I was getting charged more. Looked around, found taptap send. Better rates than instarem and no fees at all. No bad feelings instarem but customers go where they get better rates.

I have been waiting for more than one week to activate my account. The customer onboarding team keeps requesting additional information day by day, and after each submission, it takes several more days just to review it. This is a very poor onboarding experience. If more information is required, it should be requested all at once instead of in multiple rounds. This process is extremely slow and inconvenient for customers.

By far, the best exchange rate provider. Also the app has an option to track foreign exchange rates. So it's really helpful to know when I should transfer. Market fluctuations affect currency but it's good to have an alert to get the best exchange rate. thank you instarem. please add more countries to your list.

I have been using Instarem for quite some time now and I must say, I am happy with it. I get some good conversion rates with no fees at all and the transfer speed is amazing. The longest I have waited so far was 7 mins.

Money got deducted from my source Bank account on Oct 15 2025. it has been 3 working days since then. Money has not been credited to my destination upi account till now (oct 18). Status still shows awaiting payment. Followed up 3 times through chat and they could not provide any additional information. i have been promised a call back from manager with in 4 hours. No callback after 6 hours. Contacted chat again and was told to expect call back within 15 minutes. Edit: They resolved the issue

Slower than tortoise. verification is pending since 4 working days. Switched to another popular app, got verified in 15 mins. transaction from euro to inr through upi is processed in seconds. uninstalled this one!

I believe this app gives the best exchange rate and is fairly easy to use and straight forward, has never given me any issues, I've transferred money to friends and families many times now from this app and is usually instantaneous.

Used to be a decent app, but after the change they made to the policy, the card barely has any functionality now. Additionally, the customer service is slow and the service attitude is poor. Edit: It has been 8months and I have not heard anything from the customer service. Save yourself time and don't use the app.

the bad app i have seen, every time asking more documents, it us like scammer app , and when I connect costumer service they are not answering, they just close the ticket without any resolve the issues , don't use this crazy app

Excellent app for transfer. I literally loved it and easy to understand. From last 1.5 years, I am using the app to transfer from Malaysia MYR to India INR & it works very well for me. The rates also is quiet fine & the best thing is quickest it reaches destination bank. Some times it suggests the best rate fr the day to plan in case we feel more profitable. Thank You Instarem Team. Edited & Added - I have been now using from last 2.5 years. I am loving it. Edited - Now 3.5 years completed.

Unapproved charge and slow responses by staff from Instarem. I had an unapproved charged from one of the merchants and they didnt send me any OTP. When asked no replies was given to me more than 1 week in. I also asked for them to rewrite my name since they got my name wrong. The chat agent said she will get back to me but has been more than 1 week and nothing was sent to me. Useless staff really

The process is extremely slow and the verification is way too much — it feels like applying for a visa. If you want a faster and smoother experience, try another app. This one takes too long and the process is honestly garbage 🗑

Super easy and quick transfers. High conversion rate, but very high transfer fees.
