i used this app for about 2 years. this last year I haven't used it, let alone working out. I really did enjoy it. using it again, rate 4 stars because on my progress page, go to a certain date, the notes tab is gone on top of the screen. I wrote down what i did, how I felt during the workout on that day and now it's gone. it kept me motivated when I needed to look back on what I wrote down. it was like a journal. bummed it's not there now
I've been using this app for years but the recent auto-progression bug has made this app too unreliable for me. I'm just looking for something that will allow me to ACCURATELY keep track of weight, reps, and sets for each exercise. I've sent as much information as I can to the developers, but they keep asking for more and, after many months, haven't been able to fix the bug.
2 year free user now paid and so worth it! this app allows you to create your own workouts from a massive library of exercises, and allows customization like supersets and auto increasing weights. A must-have for those wanting to track their life progress! I wish they had more comparable weights at the end other than elephants and trucks, and seasonal ones.ore fun to have a different one for each day!!
This used to be THE best workout app on the market. Unfortunately they, like others, have gone the way of greed. I purchased the full version when they were just starting out, supporting an up and coming developer. Now, I can't even complete a workout with ads on everything to purchase the subscription service. Shame...
Great app. I've been using it since 2012. My workouts were very unorganized. Before i started using this, i would forget exercises i wanted to do, what weight i had on, and what exercises i had done in previous workouts. As far as keeping track of body stats, i couldn't ask for a better app.
Very good lifting app - I've used it 12+ years. My wishlist to make this perfect would be: 1. Eliminate the regular intrusive prompts for Elite - Showing what non-paid users are missing is sufficient. 2. Add a one-time lifetime purchase option for Elite. 3. Integration with Fitbit and/or Chronometer (more specifically, wish Jefit would automatically send workouts to fitbit).
Update: Can't even end/save sessions anymore. Shockingly bad. Old: Can't add logs/exercises/routines for previous days from the calendar. Nobody is perfect at recording activity in real time. But everybody wants to visualize progress. Seems everytime there's an update, something fundamentally important gets removed. I'm a 15 year user so it's hard to migrate to a better app. I subscribe for the annual premium membership and haven't felt any benefit from it. None. Basic things don't work.
Turning into garbage. This app keeps getting worse and worse. Do NOT pay for the Coaching function. It doesn't work at all for sharing workouts with clients. I've submitted ticket after ticket with screenshots is issued. No responses, no fixes. Friend recommended Hevy. Gonna try that instead. Sounds like it does all of the things that have been broken in Jefit for months.
I love this app, as a beginner to weight training, a lot of the exercise equipment can be daunting to use around people that know what they're doing (or at least appear to). I first tried this app out for instructions on how to do exercises, but I quickly and easily built a weekly routine that I've been tweaking, changing, gaining for the past 7 months. this app has helped me stay focused on my goals and work towards it. and I haven't spent a cent, yet. I will probably go premium sooner or later
I have used this app daily for the past 2 years. I worked through the difficulties of creating individual exercises and workouts, eventually having a great tool. Now, it tells me there is a bug and I should update it "when the developer fixes the app". 2 days later and It still will not open. Seems all progress is lost. Time to go to Hevy?
I've been using this app for a long time, and recently the dumbbell movements have specified weight as being per arm, which isn't how I've used it. I'm not changing how I log weight, and I'm unreasonably defiant and irritated by this. please make some accommodating change. other than that, I've been very happy with the app, and new features seem solid. I'll still quit using this app over the dumbbell thing.
I've used Jefit for 13 years. The new version fixed some bugs, but got rid of just being able to record sets without doing a workout. The charts are still rudimentary - can't zoom in on a date range or adjust the Y axis. The "24-hour elite sale" that happens seemingly every other day is disingenuous and annoying. There have to be better fitness trackers.
My one and ONLY APP to track my workout! the free version is all you need. Progressive overload is the key to max growth. Which means tracking your progress and doing just a little more weight or one extra rep than last week. JEFIT tracks everything. And if you get the Prime membership goes further. Had this app since 2014. So I have insight from 2014. LOVE THIS APP!!!
Phone and desktop apps are good. I've used them for years. The watch version is almost useless. I was hoping to record my workouts with just the watch, leaving the phone in the locker room. Unfortunately, this doesn't work. I contacted the Jefit help desk, and they said the phone needs to be close by. The app functionality on the watch is limited, so it is of questionable use. Jefit needs to find a way for the watch to sync without the phone. The watch has wifi, so perhaps that could work.
This is the best workout app I've found. It's easy to create a workout schedule. The app does a good job of guessing the focus for each routine ("abs", "upper body", etc.), so I often just use the description summary the app comes up with, though it's simple enough to customize when needed. The app has decent animated depictions of the exercises so I can confirm they are the one I'm looking for. I was also able to add a few custom exercises when i couldn't find them in the app. Overall great!
Used to like the app, I longer have it installed. I have no idea when these new updates occurred. you have to pay for dark mode, and the small tutorials of the exercises now. The app is no longer user friendly. It is not for me, I am sure it is still useful as a spreadsheet but even that has become more difficult to track. Back to using notes i go.
Just started using the app so if there is a way to do some of these, let me know. Easy to input workouts. While it allows me to link exercises when creating a routine, I have not figured out how to create a Superset when manually entering my workouts after the fact. Also it would be nice to be able to enter an entire routine rather than one exercise at a time. More analytics by exercise (line chart) would be nice to scroll through so I could see trends in how I'm doing. I like it so far.
This is in reference to the new app as of July 16, 2025. I appreciate the effort here, but when a workout is started, I can't see the amount of weight I need to use, how many reps I need to do, what exercise is next, and the ability to substitute exercises in case something isn't available. Just a picture of the workout, and the set I'm on (and sometimes that's not even right). The minimalist approach here doesn't work when you need information without fumbling with the phone for 5 minutes.
I first used this app over 10 years ago, and it actually introduced me to proper lifting, and different workouts based on equipment. back then, it was a different layout and you would only select which muscle groups you wanted to target, but now I am glad to see the changes in the app, and it's still amazing. not a fan of the membership prices, but I respect it nonetheless.
For a long time I'd go to the gym and try to get fit. I paid for a personal trainer but found scheduling a pain. Thia app, coupled with research has turned my fitness life around. I'm and IT pro with a great physique. The built in routines give you an idea for what you should be doing and how to do them, which is a great starting point. As you learn, the logging and charting features help you grow. I've even gotten family on board with it! I pay the monthly fee, and it is very much worth it.
