App is OK but I'm ditching it - along with others that don't have biometric login - because anyone snatching your phone while unlocked can access personal details such as name, address, email and phone number. Not good thing. The only alternative is to log out after every use but, since - as we're always urged - I use a long & complex password, entering that every time on a mobile device is hardly practical.
Used to be good, but recently it's not working correctly. Every time I get an email from you, and try to get the rewards page in the App, it fails to display, and I get an error message "Unable to access the page, please try again later" Not just once, but on numerous different occasions. Also it seems that you have lowered the login password to a level at which 9 year old kids won't have to be Baby Bill Gates's to hack into customer's accounts!
Can't complete checkout! Not much use as a shopping app when I can't pay for anything. I've got a John Lewis account and a John Lewis card. I start the transaction, approve it in the John Lewis Credit Card app, then click on the approved button and after around 20 seconds it shows red text that my transaction failed. I've tried a few times, I even tried PayPal and hilariously it opened another checkout within PayPal saying that some of the items can't be picked up, but I selected home delivery!
The app is easy to use where the searches are accurate. The items are clear and representative of the items. Plus, the buying process is straightforward with a variety of payment options that's processed quickly.

the JL App let's me quickly refer to online reviews whilst in the shop. this is very helpful when I spot something I haven't already researched. It's also great for saving searches and keeping records of all previous purchases and guarantees. I love shopping at John Lewis! also there are great human advisors who really help.
I seldom order and pay for items on line but because the order was placed with John Lewis & Partners - a highly trusted retailer-I had no concerns. The app was very easy to use and the steps from choosing the item on line to placing my order were clearly set out. A very good experience with no stress.
Whats going on with this darn app! At the prime shopping period of the year the app doesn't even work. Doing anything leads to a "retry" screen! No rewards have been showing, I can't even benefit from the Christmas rewards,just more "something went wrong, retry". I can't even get into my account!!! This app has become a terrible mess! not even a hope of logging out and in again
this app has more issues than any other. i'm always having to "force stop" to get it working again. the "retry" screen is the one seen most often. love john lewis but hate the app!
The app no longer functions fully, as I am unable to search products or access any elements of my account apart from my card.
Great app really easy and simple to navigate around it without any problems, placed order today cant wait to receive it...
Really struggling this week. Usually a great app but this week it won't save items to my wishlist or save for later basket. I have un installed and reloaded and now I can't access my account at all!!!!
updated the app now it won't let me search for anything or look at my rewards ,it suggested it was my WiFi, I was using mobile data 🤷🏻 oh well !
Aug 14/2025 I find it very easy to use for finding items, shopping, checking orders, making wishlists, and viewing rewards.
very simple to place order or cancel and return to back pages and view other items and departments with ease and I am not i.t. savvy at all. I enjoyed using it and shopping on this app.

Easy to navigate, search and place orders.
Quite a good shopping experience, the filter options could be a bit more specific though, enabling you to drill down a little further thus reducing the number of items you have to plough through. Good choice/ range of brands far more than in store. I eventually found what I wanted.
Rubbish app, I try to add products to my basket and they never go in. Then when I try to check my basket, it says sorry something went wrong, try again later. So I close the app and do try again and I still can't add any items to my basket. please sort the JLP!
I have had a couple of orders previously gone missing when out for delivery or apparently damaged. which was disappointing
Rewards inaccessible - I am constantly getting emails and alerts telling me I have John Lewis rewards, however I have never been able to access them. I would be greatful if there was someone to talk to about the bug / issue.
