Jolly Phonics Lessons

Sound is extremely buggy, defeating the point of a phonics app. Often times a game loads silent, with no instructions. Maybe once every five seconds, a short, clipped sound will play...not giving you enough time to understand whatever the clipped sound was meant to be. Once you get to the end of a level, it's dead silent, with no reward or confirmation that you got to the end. Spent half an hour trying to debug it, on a Pixel 9 Pro with no audio devices attached (and volume on, obviously).

I've been a fan of this app for long, and I really like it. It's been of great help to my kids. I especially like the new features in this revised edition, especially the tracing feature. However, the sound quality has become bad, particularly when sounding the tricky words. I wish you would improve that so kids can hear what the words say. I'm disappointed with this edition. I guess you want us to buy the order version. I regret uninstalling it to install the this one thinking it's better.

This is such an amazing app to help learners on their phonics-learning journey. It reinforces what they have already learnt in class. Teachers and learners can go back to the lessons and revise them repeatedly. I love it and would recommend it to all teachers and parents.

The best jolly phonics app ever that help Teachers a lot to teach. Everything perfect. Thanks for your good efforts. But please some of the objects are difficult to find out their exact name. So do something about it. Even you can give the easier one. Bravo👌👌👍👍👍⭐⚡💫🌟

Just browsing through the app to check this is a good fit for our family and have noticed an error in using the letter 's' in the blending words in Lesson 2 or 3. In the word 'is' the letter 's' should make a 'z' sound, not a ssss sound. Hoping there aren't too many other errors, as the rest of the examples and activities are great.

As a Kindergarten teacher, I have used the Jolly Phonics program for several years to teach young children how to read. They love the songs, stories, and motions that go with each sound. I am so glad to find it available in an app. The testing page is a great resource. I like that it is not revealing to the children whether they got it right or wrong, but provides a list of their correct and incorrect responses. Thank you!

Improvements: 1) in the reading game, you should be able to tap on the picture to hear the word. What 5 year old knows what a 'yam' is? for example. 2) the "can you hear?" game is the simplest, but crucial phonological awareness game I've seen, but it would be great if we could select mid and end sounds. Finally, 3) there's a bug where sound is lost and the only way is to quit the app and reload. 4) it doesn't shut up when you switch away to another app

PLEASE SEE COPY OF EMAIL SENT BELOW: I just purchased this extension for the app but the letters do not appear on any of the images (bottom half of every letter is cut off). Please see the attached screenshot for clarification. If this is not able to be fixed may I please receive a refund for the extra $5.99 I just paid. Unfortunately, this will not be sufficient for my grandson to distinguish the letters learn. Thank you for your help. Truly, Nina

it's very good for the kids to learn. it will help them in identification as well as reading and pronunciation of words. moreover,we all know that kids love music or songs.So the more they sing along with the sounds, pronunciation and acts the more they keep them in mind. I'll encourage all parents,tutors/teachers and guardians to get this for their preschoolers. Right from age 0- 8 , our kids must absorb these things in order to help them in their activities at school. This is so interesting

it was great after I purchased the full game... for about a week! now any of the two letter sounds "ai" "oa" etc don't work and it ends up freezing on them in the games. not ideal seeing as it was purchased to use the games to cement my child's learning. I've emailed the developers over a week ago but no response yet.

jolly phonics is good because it teaches sounds and how to blend sounds to pronounce words correctly. Besides it has simplefiied teachers work in the area of teaching beginners how to read, the songs that goes with teaching a sound motivation and sustain children's learning

Very helpful in teaching sounds. After teaching all the sounds by following the chronological arrangements of the sounds in this app, Your learners can read. I wish I had videos of how I started with my learners who could barely identify a sound. It's just amazing how they are getting along.

This app is good otherwise but there r few points related to vowels which a jolly phonics teacher can only explain and the app cannot. For eg: the word "Two " - you cannot use 'w' sound as it follows with a vowel 'o' and hence the 'w' sound will b silent. There are many such words which needs professional expertise and apps don't share this info. Also I tried taking the test but the same doesn't have sound at all. How can we go ahead with the test in that case?

My KG2 class were able to read simple sentences in three months. This is the best app for every teacher . Please I want to make this suggestion that in the next update, make a practical lesson so that an audio voice will lead the lesson while the slide shows one after the other. I think this will help the child go through each lesson with less supervision. Thanks .

Fantastic app One of the best phonics apps I've seen, easy to use (and parent friendly also lol). Couppled this with the phonics dvd (bought from amazon but same company I believe) And was able to print out papers, games and so much more, best of all it is relevant to what they are learning in schools.

This app is absolutely fantastic! It has really helped my child develop a deep understanding of English sounds, including the main alternative graphemes and sight words. It is excellent for beginners learning phonics. I only wish there were a Jolly Grammar app as well.

This application is the best friend any parent that want their kids to be outstanding where they go should get. It compliment the activity of kids on school work. This application will teach your kids to speak well and pronounce words with pride and intelligence. Am loving this program and I strongly recommend it to schols to improve the vocabulary development of the society In general.

I have a kindergartener and we use this app as he is working on the begining skills of reading. This app is by far engaging and effective. It has flashcards built into it and incorporates sound blending to help with the fundamentals of reading! I love it! And it's free! He actually likes this better than ABC Mouse!

I paid for older version. After the upgrade I don't have access to paid content anymore. There are many apps that you pay for a temporal use.
