Just Dance Controller

I use this with my PS4 and it works perfectly. I was concerned about the connection after reading some reviews but have no issues. My only true issue is user error - accidentally turning off my screen, which can disconnect the controller if you don't realize fast enough. I have Just Dance on Wii, so in comaprison, I think it captures the movements just as well as it does when I use an actual controller to play.

While it is nice to be able to use your smartphone, instead of having to use the expensive controllers or motion capture... There are issues. The main one being that it's REALLY easy to accidentally click out of the app... Not to mention, I felt that it read better when shaking it randomly than actually dancing. Still... Rather a free app than getting controllers. Though, I do regret getting this game in the first place.

I play Just Dance on an xbox one and I use my Samsung Galaxy 9+ and it works just fine. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it sometimes disconnects and it's frustrating during gameplay. I've played with friends and they never have connection problems and I've played with up to 6 people using this app, it's great! I love the game and my friends don't mind the connection problems sometimes because we're having such a good time! :)

This is a super great option as a controller although I have dropped my phone a few times while doing it. The only thing that might need a fix is that it really doesn't track your movement very well. I misplaced my kinect while moving so I downloaded this. The songs that I can do very well on, I did poorly on because I kept getting a lot of "OK's" other than fixing the tracking of your moves its a great alternative option. Just a suggestion! 💕

Well, I've had this app for awhile now. I got just dance 2018 for PS4 in Sept. I downloaded the app and used it all the time for about a month. I stopped using it for about a month. Now I try and log back in and it literally will not stay connected. I can connect successfully but as soon as I get to the music selection it disconnects the phone. Not sure if there was an update or something but super disappointed that I can't play my game any longer. I'm giving it a 3 because it was awesome, but now not functional. Please fix!!

I use this on my ps4 and have had very few issues with it. I had read a lot of reviews with people having issues with it desynchronizing, which I had initially but found the problem was with the timeout function on my phone. Basically, the phone doesn't register its being used and goes into sleep mode. I just went into the settings in my phone and changed the lockout time to the max setting, 10 minutes, and problem solved. Also just watch your fingers, I sometimes turned the phone off

It's a good app after finding out you have to have the Xbox app and signed in to the same account that the device (Xbox, PS4, etc.) is signed into. The only thing that I wished was different was maybe something that could stop you from clicking off the screen especially if you have the main controller. Like a settings button called cover screen. In the end the app is okay.

Lol, I dunno about everyone else but it works fine with my ps4 and s6. Protip: make sure your on the same WiFi also, don't back out of the app or it won't track your movements. In addition, make sure your gripping your phone for dear life. I accidentally lost grip and my phone flew across the room 😱. May also want to check notifications cause those can prevent tracking from working. Update: I notice alot of people having connection issues, try connecting to the ps4 manually by ip address.

This has got to be one of the worst apps ever! It's always disconnecting between my phone and PS4, that's if we manage to actually pair the phone in the first place!! Great idea but needs work. I have good fibre broadband. The router, PS4 and phone are all withing a couple of metres from eachother. I even tried turning all notifications, etc off on my phone.

How are we suppose to play just dance 2015? It has no support to connect to UPLAY anymore. It used to. And this app is not compatible with it either. I don't have the space to set up my camera and move controllers which is why I like to use the mobile app controller. At least put all the songs from older versions of Just Dance on the Unlimited service for seamless play. There are older songs I really wish to play.

Ok. Just tried this because going to the gym isn't an option as of now but in need of exercise of some sort. My 1st try and my wife wants to join in. We have soo much fun that one time she sent her phone flying into the bookshelf. 🤣 Our phones aren't the latest but both Samsung. No problems connecting. Just open app on phone, open game on console->select play via phone and then press start on app on phone. *make sure your phone is connected to the same "wifi" your console is. Enjoy!!! 😁

Can't give it any higher, any time i try to connect it to my switch it fails. Doesn't matter how i set up my system or phone. For whatever reason it keeps trying to connect me to a PS4, which i dont have, and i dont have just dance for ps4 either. Maybe its cause i have a pixel? My friends with iPhones had no problem, but that means it lacks consistency. Overall wasn't worth the effort

App just stopped working all of a sudden. Worked perfectly fine about 4 days ago and now it won't connect or when it tries to, the app just crashes. Please fix this asap! EDIT: I contacted the developer in regards to this issue and miraculously it has seemed to be resolved. Thanks Ubisoft. Will see if the app continues to work over the next few days!

When I first purchased the game in 2018 and the PS4 the Just Dance Controller app worked great. Now, the connection between the app and the game is awful. I cannot even get to the list of songs without disconnecting. I have tried all the troubleshooting tips, the issue remains. Please fix this issue.

It worked great.... the first time The first time I linked my phone to the demo it paired without any problems, I was actualy impresed with how fast it was. Then I went out and bought the full game for my kids, and the problems started. It sometime pairs the first time, and other it takes half an hour or more to get it to work. And this happens on android and iOS.... so it needs work.

Got it for xbox one...... tried it a couple of times and it was working fine. Till last week when i wanted to play it, it didnt wanted to connect to my xbox. I tried most everything and decided to restart my xbox one and it finally worked and it have been working for a while. Like the app so far!

I feel like this app just keeps getting worse! I saw the comments but didn't really experience too much until later on. Then, it kept getting worse! Now, we are at the point where it won't even show our console as a connecting option for the phone. Only playstations?? I tried manually connecting but it says "it's not on the same wifi". In my opinion, I would think Ubisoft wasnt part of this app at all. Honestly starting to become a waste of a download 😒

Seems to work pretty well for single player, but for multi-player the second person's account can't connect to the app and they have a random dancer card and can't play with their account like other multi-player games, which for me and my sister is the whole point we compete against eachother and if one gets a higher score on the second random account it's lost. I would say they need to make it possible to log your ubisoft account into the app and then connect it to play station/xbox/etc.

Nice app, easy to use. As other people have stated, the movements are not always tracked accurately. I was doing terrible for one of the first songs I did, but somehow got 4 stars. Other times I'm doing the exact move as the coaches, and I get an "ok" or X. This is just a suggestion, but is there some way to get the app to still work even if I shut off my phone?

while i have no doubt the app itself works fine, in order to connect your phone to your console/platform that has the Just Dance game, you're required to connect both devices to the same WiFi connection. However, living in an apartment complex seems to be a HUGE flaw in this system; even though both my phone and Xbox are connected to the apartment WiFi (both using my WiFi account), the game cannot detect my phone. and, because of that, i can't play the game at all! Great! (not)
