I'm having issues highlighting! While highlighting, the entire page starts moving, each time. This issue is making it so that I can no longer use this function. Last week, I studied, and highlighted throughout the article. When I went to highlight a section on the last paragraph, the entire article moved up, and the highlighted the entire article. All of my prior work of highlighting went to waste because the entire article was now highlighted instead. VERY frustrating!
This app is wonderful & a blessing from Jehovah. However, respectfully, I do have 1 note. In the last several months, the highlighting feature has been increasingly difficult to use. (I'm using an android device.) It takes multiple attempts to highlight multiple words. I can easily highlight one word at a time. However the option to expand the highlighting to multiple words doesn't always come up. It's a bit frustrating. Thank you for all your hard work & service to Jehovah!🙏🏼❤️
To those on Samsung phones having difficulty highlighting text; click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the app while viewing content such as a Bible page, click on "text settings", and adjust the font size, either direction, and click close. Seemed to fix the issue for me on my S24 Ultra. You may also ensure the " touch sensitivity" is checked under the phones display settings. Hope this helps!
When I'm pre studying for the meeting it will not let me highlight very well. You have to press the line a bunch of times and it drives me nuts. Also there is only 10 bookmarks which is not enough to bookmark scriptures and things for the ministry, please can you make it so bookmarks are indefinite. It also doesn't sink properly to all your devices. When you're playing videos or audio and you turn off your phone it won't let you play them. You have to restart again.
This app has a lot of publications and languages available. It is very user friendly on the mobile and computer. One addition I would love to see is being able to sign in with Google or create an account that can be used interchangeably between devices. while the transfer option that is available is nice it can be inconvenient when I have taken notes on one app to then move it to another instead of just being able to sign in and have them ready to use.
I thank you for the hard work that puts a whole expansive library at my fingertips! As others have noted, recently it has become nearly impossible to highlight in the app, as the screen moves constantly. I spent hours experimenting with my phone (Galaxy 24+) settings and internet searches. It is a relief to find others are having the same issues, so hopefully this will be fixed soon. I also agree about the "dark"mode highlighters (especially orange and yellow) being muddy.
This is to add to another problem already mentioned. I have a Samsung tablet and phone. Being older I use my tablet for my studying and service. I can see. read, and use the keyboard better. On both units using the stylus finger, etc. is difficult. The page keeps sliding back and forth and you are unable to highlight. Jehovah has blessed us so with his spirit working with all of you brothers and sisters. Thank you l
I really love this app. The brothers do a great job on it. I did notice recently that it is very difficult to highlight without the whole page moving so it is making it harder while studying. I'm not sure what happened because this was not always the case. Maybe it is due to a phone update on my samsung phone causing this problem but I would like to know if anything can be done on your end if it's not a phone issue.
Love the app. It's an amazing tool! But I have some suggestions... Love that there is a dark mode but the highlight colors are washed out and dark. They look terrible. Would be nice to increase the saturation so they are more bright and vivid. I know some of the older friends may not like that so a slider in the settings to adjust the brightness would be ideal. It would also be very nice if I could sync my notes from Google Drive to the app.
All is fantastic! I love the new feature where I can see my highlighted scriptures in the side panel. It's great for helping my eyes stay focused and jog my memory, without losing my place. It's awesome for keeping main points together 😄. I'm having one recent issue though, the same as Miguel Abad. On my laptop, I can be typing or speech texting, and without touching anything, my cursor jumps to the bottom of the note and puts text there instead. Thanks so much for your hard work on the app! 😊
Not to complain, but to help fix bugs in the system - I downloaded broadcasts so I wouldn't have to stream them. However, whenever I try to play the downloads, the whole app crashes. And it's not just the broadcasts. On my phone - Original songs work fine, but on my wife's phone, they don't unless they're on a separate Playlist. So, we know you are working hard to fix these kinds of things, just wanted to make you aware. Thank you so much brothers and sisters.
The app gets better & better. However, I have not been able to sync across devices automatically. I have been annotating on my PC jwlibrary app & saved a backup but when uploading it to my mobile device it says it can't download the file. I tried reinstalling it & it won't sync. I have now lost all my notes on my mobile device. They're only saved on my PC (an older version of the app).
I have had the opportunity to use this app on many different devices (Amazon, Apple, & Samsung) & overall it's a great Bible teaching tool. There are some devices that have more trouble than others with it & FYI: Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite has very little to almost nothing in the app in the way of publications, tracts, & media. So, I sold both those tablets. Always, before getting a new device, talk to someone who has it & ask how the app works on it. Otherwise, personally, I love this app.
We truly appreciate all the work that goes into this wonderful tool. However the app consistently crashes when pressing SHUFFLE on Programs and Events. I just got a brand new phone (android) and the same problem happens. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times, with and without restoring a backup. Hopefully this helps with locating a bug that may be in this version. Thank you so much brothers
It is an awesome app. I have all I need for meetings in one place. A few bugs that need work on would be....to make it easier to highlight text without having page move left or right. Being able to highlighting references & scriptures. Adding a feature where we can add notes to any place in the publication. Just a few suggestions. Thank you for your hard work!!!
The app is excellent! There's an issue when it comes to backup. I do my study and notes on the PC (Windows 10 Pro) and transfer to my tablet for the meeting. When hitting restore, receive an error message that it can't be applied. If I create a backup from the tablet to PC, it's successful. PC to tablet or phone, error message. Is there a solution?
Absolutely LOVE the app. I use it all the time. I love the I have my Bible available all any moment when needed, and I love being able to listen to all the music. Thank you, brothers, for all the hard work you do. The only issue I have is my phone keeps wanting to put the app into deep sleep because of frequent crashes, and it says it draining the battery faster. Idk if there is a way to fix that? Now that we have 1) instant access to many of the 20th century publications, 2) the article series, and 3) the new Life Forever book with its unique format intact, the only way this app could be any better is if there were an option for making playlists, so I could group video or audio files from different categories/languages together to listen to at once. Otherwise, perfection. The brothers never disappoint!
I really love the app, especially the music!!! But since the new "play all" buttons arrived, when the song goes from one to the next, the next song is very shaky and doesn't play smoothly. I have an Android Samsung phone, newer model. I look forward to being able to listen to many songs again without having to play each song to get it to play smoothly. Good morning brothers, thank you for all your hard work. We appreciate it more than words can express. 🙏 Please help fix one issue, with the recent update. When I'm playing a song and receive a call, the media player shuts down and it will not continue playing after the call ends. But in the notification bar, it shows a song with an ongoing counter, no music is heard and the button functions in the notification bar, do not work. Please fix. Thank you again. -Latest Samsung model S22 (android)
