KETV 7 News and Weather

Was a Great app. Used to be able to watch the earlier newscast you missed, anytime, anyplace. But now, often the ads (sometimes up to 10 straight) only will play. When the newscast will play, many times freezes up 1/2 way thru ads & have to start cast all over. Newscast won't even start most of the time. Their tech support has never responded as to why? Now using competitors newscast replays. 1 yr later with all updates, & no change or response. Same issues with Apple App. Sad.

I like the local news and weather. I do not like the videos. Please provide news as text and not just a headline. When you send a notification, take me to the story, not something else. I could do without VUZ. It is usually either trivial or biased and a time waster. I like the updated weather but would appreciate having updated weather as text, not video. Video takes longer and runs down my phone battery. Update April 2019: The App has improved. I mainly use Weather Now. There are still too many videos.

Terrible design. When you click on a notification and the article loads half the screen is the video that corresponds to the story, however, there is an ad that plays prior to the video. There is no way to pause the video or to mute the video until AFTER the ad is done. I have had to close the app without reading the article too many times because of this. I shouldn't need to remember to mute my phone every time I want to read a news article. I will never install the KETV app again.

I grew up watching KETV every night with my parents. There's no other station that I would trust for all my local news and weather around Omaha. I mostly use the app for weather and the only thing that I could think of that would make it better is a weather widget. That's the only reason I still use the weather channel sometimes is for that reason, other than that I would just love to switch over to KETV for all my weather needs. Love you guys, keep up the hard work. ❤️🌤️🌦️🌩️

App regularly sends breaking news notifications but the article is not available yet when I click on it. Also says "app users click here" quite often, but clicking on the link does nothing except lead you to the same page instructing app users to "click here"...I like KETV news the best but the app leaves something to be desired.

It's improved some... but trying to read a story and suddenly having an ad blaring at max volume is frustrating and pointless. I understand having an ad supported system but if you're simply trying to read an article why must one be subjected to an ad that cannot simply play muted? It's jarring and causes surprise to the reader and the immediate people around him or her

I really wish you guys would go back to having the weather app separate from the news app and the fact that if you go online and view the weather off Google Chrome you can separate the Active Radar from the actual page and look at it in a bigger scream whereas in your app you cannot even separate it you guys say you keep improving your apps to keep getting it worse go back to individual weather app till at least I can have the temperature and stuff on my main screen on my phone very disappointed

Radar is affected by a bugged phone overlay. I'm unable to use the radar buttons at the bottom to zoom, change from future to past, or to click play to watch the radar move. All of it is hidden under the phone overlay buttons (home, back, and history tray buttons). This seems like a bug in the latest build. It used to work fine. Now unusable and not worth keeping the app, as the radar function was a viral part. Phone specs: Android, Pixel 7

Want to read stories not watch videos. Update (still one star) Alerts don't have full text to know what is happening and link goes nowhere. Trying to view election results, and stuck in cycle of going nowhere, just click here for app, and it goes to same page that says click here.

I use the app at times to just check the local, and it always tells me to update,and thenGoogle play tells me it's installed, and there is no update needed , it's annoying,and sometimes I just go over to channel 3 or 6's app instead, if this keeps happening I will drop the app and just usechannel 3's or 6's app instead!

I downloaded the app because the website said Android users need the app to watch live news broadcast. The only thing I can watch is a local ad. Otherwise I can just click and read news stories just like I would on the website. No point in the app as i still can't watch the live news

The widget is useless. It doesnt show accurate weather. I live in a small town outside of Omaha. I need an accurate weather widget. Also I dont need a notif for older news stories I've already seen. Now there's an Alert for the trials. Omg. News does Not Equate Alerts. I was worried there'd be another ungodly heat wave advisory coming. Reducing this to 1 star.

terrible. watch 3 minutes of commercials for any selection, then the sound doesn't work on the part you needed. they say if you pay to use it then it's better. but I'm not finding out.

when KETV pops up on my phone I click it and it does not go to the article that pops up on my phone. very annoying. I wonder if the information in the pop-up is just a teaser. thinking about getting rid of KETV app.

The app worked great in the Spring and Summer and notified me of rain and Thunderstorms. Today, it has sent me 3 notifications regarding snow and Omaha hasn't had even a flurry. I updated the app AND typed in my zip code and STILL got a notification this afternoon. Just because there is a blizzard in Lincoln and Southern Nebraska, doesn't mean I need to be notified here in Omaha.

Gave your app another shot but to view radar in motion it starts back too many hours ago so it is very hard to get up to date radar in motion. Downloaded WOWT's weather app and I highly recommend it if you want a good local weather app.

Too many full size adds between stories. I hate having to sort through the adds to find the stories or to find where the story continues. Limit the adds for easier access to the news and the score becomes a 5.

I love this app I use it every day. The only thing I don't like is the constant commercials at the begiy of every story. It is quite anoying seeing the same commercial over and over again.

WAY TOO MANY ADS!! I downloaded this NEWS app because I dont have time to watch the news on tv. Everytime I play or REPLAY a video, theres an ad. I'm trying to watch the news, NOT COMMERCIALS!

I have no problems with this app. Keeps me informed of breaking news and more importantly, up to date weather. 7 news is the only News & Weather station I ever watch.
