KFC - Order On The Go

The app used to be much better. Small tiles for categories which provided a list of items on click-through was a great design for a food app. Now each item takes up the whole screen making it a cumbersome process, the "favourites" are hidden behind a bunch of clicks, you can't put anything into your cart before the shop opens, in fact the poor design choices are too many to fit in 500 characters. Fire whichever idiot green lit this because they're actively trying to sabotage your brand.

Edit: There's a check-in button hidden from the user and you'll wait forever for food that isn't even being cooked unless you find it. Learn how to design a UI again. It needs a giant "I'M HERE" button like every other fast food app that requires a check-in. Old: It just works perfectly and the interface is intuitive. Maccas need to take notes.

this app is just as bad as dominos, it's so slow and buggy. it does not recognize GPS and does not save your newly selected store. trying card payment every single time the app fits and shuts down. more of a hassle to use than anything. I spent 15 minutes just trying to order and gave up and came to store since can't skip the queues on my break and lost half my break An overhaul is needed.

not a huge fan of being forced to sign up to the app and create an account to make a purchase for less than $10. This is supposed to be considered "fast food", there is nothing fast about having to pull over (because driving and using your phone is illegal in this country), order through the app (if the payment actually works). Then after you have achieved all of that, then wait in the drive through after 3 or 4 additional cars pass you...horrible customer experience.

It doesn't check and verify the restaurant by gps location. It doesn't remember existing selection and preferences, like if I choose wicked wings for the meal instead of the default tenders, when I later upgrade the meal to large, my preference is gone. Lacking features like these makes lots of trouble in a rush real-life food ordering.

Edit: it's February 2026 and this issue has not been fixed. Still can't login. Terrible app. My account in linked via my Facebook account. Cant login, get message " Error App not active: This app is not currently accessible and the app developer is aware of the issue. You will be able to log in when the app is reactivated." Cant make new account either with previous number. It requires a new mobile number. Absolutely awful app.

yeah I can't order,just says to try again, try again? edit: can't order the 2 for $5 deal, Everytime I add it on my meal break at 4:00pm in Adelaide it says "error" I was reading online and here that some people who have traveled before, seem to get errors surrounding ordering times with this app? I honestly have no idea. used to order this deal often but haven't been able to for months. I reckon $500-$1000 has been left off the table for kfc the past year.

To order is a little glitchy with the app, confusing to save a favourite , should only have to do that once, but the app stays stuck on that screen even after you choose your favourite order for next visit. Also was under the impression that the order no. would be called out. Instead the order items were called out. We weren't sure if it was our order or someone elses as there were other customers in the foyer.

I wish they didn't screw around with the app icon. I just had to update and didn't realise until i was almost at the end of the order and thought maybe the app or something has been hacked. I can see now, as they mention it in the description that they are playing silly games. but who reads that when they are doing an update. I just wish they spent the time fixing the bugs in the app instead of having fun with themselves.

avoid order online. it happened multi times in last 6 months that we placed order via app, payment completed and received order nbr but order did not go through to the shops. bad luck was the shop screens were always out of services and can't see my name. had to chase the staffs then realised they didn't have my orders after 15min waiting.... 😒 I will not order from app again

buggy and secret menu never seems to work on my S24 ultra, no issues on my last Android. payment confirmations are annoying but understandable. promos don't seem to work anymore ajd constantly get a "sorry, something went wrong" error each time I try. mostly works for basic ordering but seems to get worse over time.

app constantly has issues. sometimes won't even let you add things to your cart, has issues processing payments and is difficult to cancel an order if you've placed one and then got to the store and they have run out of everything and or are closed early.

Refuses to process payments, even though the accounts are fine, and work without problem in-store. No way to place an order and pay on pick up, so I am unable to use offers, etc, as they are not available in store. Support just says 'Not our problem, must be your bank' even though this is the only app that has an issue. Bank has looked into it from their end - no problems.

It's an okay app, if and when it works. For at least 6 months, my payment methods haven't worked on my app. Tried a relog cycle, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and it still comes up the same error, no matter what payment method is selected. It's now November, said they updated the app to 'fix bugs'. Don't know what bugs they supposedly 'fixed', but I still can't order anything.

I have been using the app for some time and found it easy to use and good to know promotions.. the only thing that is putting me off from using it is the lack of getting 10% off for seniors that I get over the counter. would be good to add this feature in check out.. just out of curiosity why the schematic picture of the founder in the app icon is upside down??!!

it seems to be each time I open this app to make a pick up order or delivery, it freezes every time! not worth the half hour booking when it just wont load the end page. almost like they dont want you ordering PS bring back grilled corn cobs!

The KFC app used to be good. Now, it's become so complex as opposed to how it once was. The GPS just does not work. Sometimes, I'm not able to customise my order, usually only with the twister, and now I can't access the secret menu, it's as if it doesn't exist anymore, ironically I just got an email telling me to check out the secret menu but I can't! It's still better than the Maccas app though, so that's something

this app honestly never works! it never lets me check out it doesn't even come up with an error it just keeps taking me back to the cart instead of the check out page . and what sucks is that the staff in store won't honor the promo deals on the app

decent app overall, but because of the long waiting times of kfc it would be nice if you could still tip your driver after the payment has been processed, I don't like sending a driver to wait 30 minutes and not being able to tip them for their service

It's a disgrace that the price of food has skyrocketed when so much money has gone into such a bad app. Why is it so hard to scroll? Blinking buttons? Strange lags? Fix the problems and focus on much better value. And stop saying the store "has now closed" when I try to check-in.
