it lets you just watch videos and they even have Zelda shows you Do not NEED to pay if you do not want to.
This is perfect for toddlers, and its free. I like that it focuses more on educational stories/episodes (not sure if this is by design) - Easy to use interface and search function. - Some advertising but nothing to serious. - Pretty good database of available stories. No reason not to get this app in my opinion. @Kidoodle. Not a dealbreaker, but It would be nice to be able to randomize episodes within a selected section, for example the current available "Book Worms" section.
Wow, so bad. I never saw an app that *didn't* want me to sign up. My daughter liked the content but the commercials are always the same and play after only a few minutes of content. So you'll watch the same commercial like 10 times during the same video. I think it's meant to drive you mad so that you'll want to pay for the premium plan. But surprise, when I try to manage my subscription to sign up for premium it tells me "no subscription found" with no option to sign up. Maddening!
10/10 I love all this shows and more apps are beautiful
I liked the app at first. Or I should say, my kids did. It has some things they weren't familiar with, so the novelty was nice. But then the constant ads became too overwhelming. It seemed like they could barely watch anything before the same ad came on and played 3 times back to back to back. I paid for the subscription since that was supposed to get rid of the ads, but it didn't. My kids were so annoyed w/the ads that they stopped watching anything. I cancelled it, but I'm still being charged.
Loud intro plays everytime the app is opened, which is super annoying if you're in public. Also have to sign in every time the app is launched. Just keep it signed in all the time. Also, the content isn't all great for kids. I don't want my kid watching videos of people playing video games or other mindless shows that aren't educational. It's too cumbersome to go block all the garbage shows one by one. Make it easier to block categories or give us the option to ONLY ALLOW certain shows
Good app but the ads need to go. There were no ads showing when I initially got the app and all of a sudden ads started showing. I don't mind Storytime ads but the toy stuff is a no go. I don't want my kids watching commercials for toys or anything else that's for purchase. I don't see a pro feature that lets you buy to opt out of ads either.
This app is terrible for children. 3 minute advertisement that isn't even kid friendly isn't unacceptable. You think you can let your child watch something for 30 45 minutes while you do a chore or cook them something to eat but instead they get stuck with inappropriate ads. The app also will not shut down correctly when you're exiting from it to turn on something else, so it continues to play in the background.
Update: issues have been resolved, and we have been enjoying Kidoodle, ad free. I'm happy to support a Canadian company. I subscribed (paid annual fee) hoping to get rid of ads, but we are still seeing their Story Snacks and movie ads interrupt the shows. I emailed support 2 weeks ago about this and i didnt see a response from them yet. Overall, its a decent app.
I'm just here for Numberblocks since Netflix is dropping them. Trouble is, the ads glitch terribly on the app and there's no tech support to help me solve the issue. They have a great catalog of thousands of properties, but no easy way to block the hundreds of unboxing vids I do not want my child exposed to. Furthermore I have to type "Numberblocks" into the search every time for my little guy instead of being able to create a personalized list of his favorite shows.
I mostly downloaded this initially for a friend of mine to try it out before suggesting it to her. It is quite an excellent streaming service/app. It has a rather huge selection of shows to watch, and does not have a ton of banner ads everywhere clogging things up. I particularly like the controls that parents have over things like bedtime and watching times.
I find that while the content is safe, there is a lot of non educational videos and it is extremely difficult and tedious to go through the entire list to unselected what I do not want my son to watch. Adding some sort of grouping in the title selection would be helpful to only show content based on the selected age group and if it's educational or not. LolThe startup music on mobile and tablets is also very loud
If normally this app is amazing. The TV shows are perfect for my children and always appropriate for their age bracket. The one issue that I have is it seems that they struggle with their advertisements, I was just watching baby shark with my young daughter and an ad for steel rebarb came on as well as an ad for Idaho health and welfare. I don't mind when they show the ads for the toys or kid appropriate commercials but I don't understand why commercials aimed at adults are on kid shows.
Horrible app!! There are no TV shows on it, instead there are 1-2 minutes snippets of shows labeled as episodes. You might as well set your kid down in front of a bunch of episode previews and expect it to keep a toddlers attention. Not happening. Installed, attempted, and installed all in around 5 minutes. Wish I could get that time back.
The show options are wide but there is not a place to put favorites. At the same time this is supposed to be a kids friendly/safe add app but currently there is quite a scary "Ghost busters" add which is not appropriate for children under 12 so I am seriously considering to delete and cancel my subscription. Previously it was appropriate toys and games adds.
I think there's something wrong with your parental settings page. The bug keeps switching the screen from portrait to landscape in an unending, brain hurting loop, and my phone is slowed down to where it takes ages to acknowledge that I am trying to close the app or getting into the actual settings. Just started using this app a few minutes ago, so not sure if there are other bugs.

Love this super easy kid show app. Install on all my kids devices. Have it on my own tablet so when the baby gets fussy I go straight to this to keep the little guy happy. Only issue I have is when a show is done, it's starts playing sample video audio, when I go into a new show I have audio over audio from different shows. Exit app and start over to fix it a lot gets annoying.
I only got an account just so I can watch nostalgic shows from my childhood. Like Ruby Gloom, Class of the titans, Being Ian and Grossology. I'd like more shows like that and also a way to like have these shows marked as "favourite" so I can access the shows I like easily without scrolling the shows I'm uninterested in everytime.
My kids love it, especially during times like this when they are getting more tv time than usual. I don't feel bad at all if they are sitting there learning and doing activities off the screen Update - this program has exceeded my expectations and just bar none my two toddlers favorite app. I literally can't put Disney + on without them asking for kidoodle instead. My youngest gives me a thumbs up like Diane from his favorite kidoodle show .
We're deleting the TV app now that it has ads before videos. Now it's worse than other apps. The video is lagging behind the sound too. And it's annoying that some awful random show starts playing in the background while you search for a good show.
