King James Bible - Verse+Audio

I love that it's audio. The voice is awesome so that I can read along and feel the mood of the writer. However, I HATE the constant ads after you get through a book and mark it as read. EVERY SINGLE TIME you mark an ad pops up that you can't even bypass. Why not charge for the app and not have ads??? I'm sure people would pay for a good Bible app. I would. I may need to uninstall because of this.

I LOVE this app! I'll be honest I only use the Bible reading part but that's just because we have a farm and I dont have leisure time to spend on an app. However, even if you're busy like me, you can still use this app all day! I listen on Bluetooth while doing farm chores and cleaning, I love that you can turn the screen off on your phone and it still plays and there are no ads in the audio part!!! I listen to it in the truck while going back and forth to town. My 2 girls (6&7) like it too!

It USED to be good. I used to use this app daily, as a reference, or to read something uplifting, or just to pass some time... However, recently it all changed. Now evertime I open the app, I have to sit through an ad, play a portion of the senseless game it is trying to hawk, navigate back and forth to the playstore, and then finally...FINALLY! I can delve into scripture. Then if I let the screen lock while listening to a sermon or discussing a passage... ANOTHER AD! John 2:15-17 comes to mind

I have been using this app for so long and it was exceptional. It has become infested with ads but even with that I was so attached. Now there's some type of bug. I can't access the calendar, quiz, settings, etc. I can only read the morning prayer, devotional and night. I can't see progress, settings, etc. It was such a delightful program. Also sick of Temu! It was easy to use, not now.

I don't like that the notification checkbox for daily prayers couldn't be deselected. When I was driving, it was becoming a nuisance popping up on my maps where I couldn't see. I would almost have slight accidents. In addition, it takes forever to get to my bible verses in church because the ads were so long. I dealt with it for a very long time because of the other features, but just decided to remove it. Plus I found another app so far without ads. I'll see how it works after a few uses.

A lot of reviews complained about the ads but they have to support themselves. The ads are like 4 seconds long and you can X out of them. Side note: while reading Bible if you don't hit the "mark as read" in green and just swipe to the next page you don't get an ad. They have daily devotionals and podcast. You can also highlight and bookmark as you're reading. If you hold down on a word it has an in app dictionary. The audio to read, doesn't sound like AI so it's not annoying to listen to. 🙏🏽

I agree with other reviews. The ads are ridiculous! It takes me longer to try to figure out, how to get out of them. Then to read my daily message. For 4.99, you will be losing alot of ppl. I don't mind the ads in between the readings, the pop ups ridiculous. I thought about subscribing for 1.99 month, but ads have turned me off. You can have your app back.

Previously gave a 5 star rating back in 2018. Upadte 2023/2024. The ads are too long and come at the worst time. When I use it to get to the Bible verse while in church, here comes an ad.. when first started using the application, it was great. It had ads but they were short. Now we have 2 long ads all at once. The alarm has stopped working, and i have done everything that has been suggested. There is still no alarm.I am about ready to give up and try another.

1st off, I love the morning/evening scriptures. I like the # of days prayed counted, however, it has been stuck on 357 days for a month+. I have emailed support 3 times w/no apology, remedy, or any other type of response. It's no different than anything else, if you cannot support it on the back end, why pay for it on the front end? One more thing, the ads are getting ridiculous, you cannot even open the app or turn a page without waiting on an ad!

Giving this two stars for a couple of reasons. I click the notification that just scared the mess out of me (1)the app starts to load and then immediately an ad(2). I have no issue with banner ads etc even when they're explicit. but before I even get into the app there's a forced ad is not okay. Immediately close the app while the ad is still running this started over the last few weeks. Time to buy an actual bible.

I love this app but the ad style has almost caused me to uninstall. I appreciate you have to have ads, but the inability to close some of them, especially the gaming ads, to then get to the app is incredibly frustrating. Again, appreciate the 5 second ads that then have the x on the corner to close out. Dislike the ones that offer no exit then try to force you into downloading their game on app store. Otherwise, great, 5 start app!

Sounds an alarm when the daily prayer feature gives me a notification, which I cannot use, as my work schedule varies day by day, and I cannot have that going off while I'm at work. I work a tech support job, and that going off would NOT BE COOL AT ALL! Thus, I have turned off that feature. Now if you could set it to SILENTLY notify you, that would be great.

I love it. Daily , morning and night devotions, scripture for every emotion you're feeling, great to have at your fingertips to pick up someone who's about to give up. I downloaded it because I enjoy having different apps to surf through, throughout my day. However, recently on the devotions, I don't know if you're going for the smallest font possible or what but 99% of the time I have to screenshot it and enlarge it to be able to read it. And the amount of ads are getting atrocious .

This is great! It makes it easy to study the word of God (in many versions) even with a busy lifestyle. You can compare the scriptures in different versions as well. You can bookmark or highlight scriptures and take notes for later reference . It even has devotionals or study plans geared for every situation you go thru in life. You can also read in private or with friends. There is also an option to receive a reminder so you won't forget. I highly suggest this app.

It's a good app to begin with, but after awhile they keep adding more and more ads trying to force you to pay to get rid of them. Which is a reoccurring charge. Going to look for a different app. Sorry this is a good app, but the ads have gotten too much. An ad to read the scripture. An ad after the prayer . An ad to continue to the study test. Another ad between each quiz. It's was a better app when there was one or two ads, but you've gotten ridiculous. Deleting. Goodbye.

amazing. two things i want to add, audio play speed would be perfect. being able to adjust audio speed a bit faster like you can on youtube. also, when you play the audio on this app... it saves thr mp3 to my phone by default. if you cover a lot of Bible... it can take up some space. I would like to have the option on the app to delete saved audio when i no longer need it stored. I had to do some digging through internal settings on my phone to erase them.

Why so many long ads ? Not only are there long ads, but you can't even get out of the ads once they've run their course!! I literally have to close out the bible ad and then reopen it again just to watch ANOTHER AD!! It's ridiculous!! Update to response...that's the issue... when i go to click the "X" in the upper right corner to exit the ad, it won't exit me out of the ad. That's been the ongoing issue.

Love that it is read by Alexander Scorby! (not sure if spelled last name right) A few draw backs: 1) It takes a few pushes to get to the actual bible so when I'm in a hurry I don't use this app. 2) The ads that pop up here and there are annoying but it only does it when I first open the app so there's no random ads while I'm trying to read. A plus! Overall I like the app and the fact that it's not a computer voice reading when I want to listen to it!

This is by far my favorite Bible app! I have tried so many others, and there is no comparison. I always come back to this one. The only downside is the ads, but for all of the features this app has, I can put up with it. I love the: voice options, reading speeds, highlighters, notes, daily encouragements, devotions & prayers, study guide options, and so many other things. It could definitely use a more accurate dictionary for the old English words. But, overall, I love it!

The app itself is easy to use, but the ads are getting worse as the year goes on. You cannot always close the ads quickly anymore, some let you, but others you are forced to watch the whole way. And now, some of the ads are way inappropriate for having on a bible app. Very disappointed in some of the ads that they are allowing to be shown anymore.
