Am I on dial up? This app is beyond slow. The cart clears out and says there's nothing in it, when there, in fact, is. Loading each item takes 15-45 seconds or longer. It's painful. They want me to call them up to iron out issues for their app. I'd rather mow the lawn at mid day with no sunscreen on the hottest day of the year. Their CSA's are the least helpful people I've ever dealt with aside from Comcast. Just made a decent app that doesn't reload after every screen and that actually works.
I really don’t like the new update. It’s frustrating that when I add an item to my list and then check it, sometimes it says “product info not available.” I then have to figure out which product it was, which takes extra time. Since the update, there have been several issues like this. I’m also frustrated that I can’t add more than one quantity of an item directly I have to go into the list and manually update the quantity each time.
this app worked pretty well prior to the update. I was able to add items to my list directly from the list screen and navigating search for items and back to my list was pretty quick. Now I have to click through several options to get to either. So many items get listed as product info not found, which means I am missing items if I dont notice or can't remember what exactly it is. very poor experience of late.
It was nice to make grocery lists on the app before going shopping so that I can plan ahead. But now the app is so frustrating that its just an inconvenience. I'll add items to my list that are shown as available, but when I go back to check my list all I see is a bunch of "items unavailable." It will remove random items, double the price of items, and increase the number of random items with every refresh.
We do most of our grocery shopping at King Soopers but I am seriously rethinking that because of the app. As I make my list I am constantly having to go all the way back to the home screen to switch between the cart and search. I should be able to access the cart and search from any screen. The performance is also much worse and I'm constantly getting errors when I try to login to the pharmacy.
I have to log in every time I want to use the app & for whatever reason I have to reset the password as well.. That's no good when I pop in on the fly & don't have a list prepared. The last couple of trips, at various locations, I will be standing in front of a digital coupon ad & search by brand name or product type but nothing populates for me to clip. Not sure what happened to the app but it is unusable now. Down with dynamic pricing & price gouging.
The app was really useful until I added a gift card at the checkout page. I scanned in the card that I received from a friend and it accepted it without any issues and it even saved it for future purchases. I tried to check out my groceries and for some reason it keeps telling me that the gift card is invalid. I called CS and the reps kept redirecting me to different departments in an endless loop for over an hour, until the last representative said that it is an app issue. What a waste of time.
App crashes upon opening it, totally unreliable. How do you access your sooper card scan code if it won't open. Coupons are lies. The registers don't recognize the discounts and coupons at least 50% of the time. Approx 90% of the time I try to get a coupon or discount, the computers don't recognize it, and the staff are sometimes rude when we contantly have to fight with staff to get the discount that should be automatic in the computers. What's the point of computers if they don't work?
List experience is SO BAD. Sometimes when I add an item I've searched, it will instead add some random item to my list. Removing items doesn't work half the time. Lots of navigation glitches when you tap on a list item. I hate having something on my list, checking it off one week, then when I search for it the next week it says "Saved, view list" because it's checked off on my list. I wish I could search an item and uncheck it if it's already checked on my list. It's too easy to delete an item.
I used to love this app, it was so easy to use especially to sort digital coupons quickly. With the previous version I could sort the coupons by the newest ones so I only had to look at them until I got to one I had already clipped. Now it says I can sort that way but it does not work. Also there used to be an option to sort the clipped coupons which I would sort by expiration. Now I can't even sort clipped coupons. Please bring back and fix these issues. Thank you
They have turned a useful in-store shopping app into a giant useless advertisement. It looks very broken to me. It lists under my "favorites" bananas. I have not purchased bananas in over a year. Kind of looks like marketing pushed the devs to get the advertising in and deliver a product before all the useful features were implemented. Then when the public hated the app. Marketing fired the developers. Who creates a list from a shopping cart. it should create a shopping cart from a list.
I agree with numerous other reviews. The latest version of the app requires more time than I allocate to shop for items--especially when I wish to select a digital coupon. Pathetic and even the folks who work behind the desk at the local King Soopers state the same and wish to return to the previous version.
The recent revisions to this app make it awful. Just awful. I receive error message after error message when attempting to log in to the pharmacy, "item unavailable" messages for virtually every item I view, and the filtering feature for digital coupons just does not work. At all. I've concluded that Kroger has deemed Android users second class citizens not worthy of a working app, as I've tinkered with the iOS version in my Apple device and that works just fine. The website also works fine.
It seems like they were trying to simplify things but they simplified them too much and now I'm missing a bunch of features I used to use. Tonight I was trying to do something as simple as see what sponges and cleaning supplies there were and I couldn't. There's almost no way to browse products other than to search directly for them.
This app makes every trip to the store a miserable experience. See a deal on something but it's a "digital deal"? Get ready to stand in everyone's way for 3 minutes trying and failing to scan the QR code, then deal with terrible cell service inside the store waiting for the app to load, if it ever does. All this bs just so Kroger can more thoroughly track our spending habits and/or swindle us out of our money.
My biggest problems with this app are 1) Not being able to search while in my list, 2) Items that are available showing up in list as "Item information not available", and 3) The list organization not grouping items in the same area together (eg not all produce shows up in the same part of the list making you go back and forth to make sure you got everything before you move on).
I used to love this app. the latest update makes it difficult to use the list. it is hard to find, hard to navigate, and often items I try to add never make it to the list, or just says product not available. How am I supposed to know what product they mean? completely unusable and I can't trust it to be a complete list. I will go back to pen and paper, or maybe back to Our Groceries app.
App is getting worse. I use the app to make my list before going to the store. the last couple of weeks has been a nightmare trying to get items onto my list. I can try to add items to my list with both the SKU, and by typing in the item. It will show up on my list maybe 1 out of 10 times if I'm lucky. Tried both the King Sooper and Kroger apps with the same result. Very dissappinting.
Every single thing you search is listed as "item unavailable". If an item is added to your shopping list, at some random point it'll turn into a blank "item no longer available". You don't even retain the info of what it was, what aisle it's in... Just a "not available" at the bottom of the list. Coupons no longer list any of the items that the the coupon refers to. This app has become so frustrating and unhelpful to use, and therefore to shop. Glad there's a Sprouts and a Safeway nearby
This version of the app is awful. You should be able to search for items directly from the shopping list and whatever glitch is causing items that you add to the list to show up as "product not available" is maddening! I've successfully added items to my list and gone shopping, only to get home and find out that I'm missing things because the app deleted them from my list. Also, the coupon filters aren't functional right now. The app reverts from your selections as soon as you hit "apply".
