It's fun until level 10. If you want to play without spending money, or spending only a little money, this is not the game for you. P2W pvp, and basically P2P unless you want to spend days waiting for your buildings to be done so you can spend days building another building. They have "Suspiciously Good" upgrades that double troop health, damage, training speed, healing speed, etc. The moneygrab is real with this game, and they have absolutely no shame at all.
5 stars for the morale system that penalizes higher level players farming lower levels. I wish more games had that. Leveling is a grind but there's plenty of events to keep you interested. It encourages teamwork and communication, which brings the community together.
Nice game but not well developed. As always, don't expect 4X game are f2p & well balanced. Loading screen UI just white with a little animated sand clock(why not put some art there?). Some resources like stone are too many lol, I've got 3M stone in 3 days play (make it a little hard to get, so there's a chance player to fight/trade). STANDBY TO LEAVE : ALIENATING PLAYER OTW 🤣😭
The game is amazing and annoying at the same time. It is starting to be to focused on P2P and ignores f2p alot. The honor system needs improvement, the refining of materials and buildings costs are also a bit to high and could use some improvement. Also I don't think transferring to different shards should be only limited to older shards and a player should be able to go where they want but that's an opinion. All in all it's an amazing game and I love to play it
The game itself is great, though levelling starts to become a grind after awhile and progress is slow. Other players ruin this game, though. I've never played a game with such an annoying fan base: making up random rules, attacking people with a fraction of their power, constant spamming, etc. I'm certain most people have left this game for this reason.
I enjoyed the game. I really did. But the packages and the pricing I've gotten better value for less money from an mmo. The pricing in this game is absolutely too much for a mobile game. There are zero acceptable excuses for the pricing to this game. Edit: Dev's response is laughable. The average price of a "special" is $67.13. there are troops you can really only get through cash purchase. The game is severely unbalanced in play as it is. There are exploits. No easy means of reporting.
The developers of this game are thieves. After spending tons of money on this game, they updated the game and removed several troop types. researches, buffs amongst other items that I spent a lot of money on. These were purchases for products in the game. They also increased the costs to make and upgrade items in the game by, what appears to be, 10x the costs prior to the upgrade. You took the products i purchased, now refund the money i spent for those purchases. Your fraud is criminal.
This game has some very bad mechanics. You can only help 3 players a day with resources. The lower their level the less you can share. If you help defend other players you take massive morale hits. Help one player defend against an attacker 5 levels higher and you can suffer up to 75% reduction in military might and growth for 24 hrs. Then you cannot help anyone, even yourself. The game is designed to allow paying players way too much leverage over non-pay, or limited-pay players. Bad design.
Was a fun game until the most recent big update! Totally changed the game after that. Half our server quit, and more are still leaving. Devs need to change it back to how it was! Also, the Devs are EXTREMELY money hungry. All of the purchase packs are $50-$100. And every time you long in, there is a pop-up ad to purchase a $100 item pack, plus notifications throughout the day (in-game) about new $100 items you can buy.. It's ridiculous! Mining conversion rates also suck!
I like the game, really, but you can definitely 100% just buy the best troops directly out of the shop and just steamroll the whole server. It doesn't really bother me as much, as you don't lose much when you get attacked, but im sure it's very annoying for some. So if you don't enjoy that type of game, look elsewhere. There's morale penalties for attacking lower targets but you can buy morale in the shop, too...so. y'know.
Ridicuously overpriced packs in the shop. The gameplay AI is stupid (watch your archers charge at melee units rather than hold position, for example, as though their objective were to stab them with their arrows). If you have a problem, customer support tends to be unhelpful, and anti-player (although it's possible that they are non-native English speakers working off a script), and seemed trained to just say no to customers. Gameplay is super repetitive, and there is very little strategy.
This game has potential, to say the least, but given its current state, i would recommend finding a different game. It starts off smooth, but in later stages, it becomes a pain. Grinding becomes stale and dreadful. You would need countless hours just to spend that effort in a few mere clicks. There's no major difference between high level camps vs low level ones which makes 0 sense. Servers or rather shards apparently die off quickly, which forces devs to merge them with others.
The building aspect is self explanatory and easy to figure out. Quests in game to progress further are poorly designed, not very intutive (for the player). There are no tutorials for some of the main quests. The humor in game are cringe at best. It feels like it's from the 1990's. There are constant pop up ads to purchase hero packs, resources and champions.
Somewhat unique castle builder game that fails typically. I have no problem spending when prices are reasonable, but like most games, it's way overpriced. It costs $5 just to unlock a second build queue (first red flag). They also offer a ton of permanent boosts that are only in bundle packages that can go for $5-$20 each (Second red flag). And of course, they have a starting "event" that requires you to spend $50 within the first week of playing to unlock all rewards (Ultimate red flag).
The game is quite innovative, has nice artwork, doesn't take itself too seriously. It's not extremely grindy, leveling up and getting better is not hard at all. The game is riddled with bugs and performance issues. Even on the lowest graphical settings, I keep getting bugs and glitches and lags. It feels like this game should still be in early access. Would be 5/5 if it weren't for this
I downloaded it because the ad for it looked interesting. FYI, it is nothing like the ad. The constant pop-up booster pack ads drive you insane. Got to level 9, and now I'm bored with it. I wish there was a way to send off the children once they're mature instead of them just taking up space in the castle. I'm deleting the app so I can play other games.
I'm liking that it doesn't take itself too seriously. I don't really play mobile games either. I saw it amongst one of many YouTube ads and decided to give this one a try. I'm even tempted to spend a little money if they are able to make it even more immersive like Sims or CK games(No it's NOT PAY to WIN). Overall I'd recommend at least checking it out, and keep in mind it's a fairly new game as well. As long as it continues to get good updates am sure it will do well. They even have a discord.
it's fun! but there is one major flaw, to get the dragon that's offered for free, you are required to spend real money to buy the armor and weapons needed to complete the challenge and get the dragon. if you don't spend money, no matter how many times you level your keep, or your character the game will not let you beat it. it may not be pay to play, but to get what you'll need you HAVE to pay.
The game is fun and it doesn't seem to be nearly as painful as similar games. However it is extremely pay to win, the events where you are outed against other players is impossible to win unless you pay a few hundred dollars, when my server tried to make sure everyone could get first place the devs then made it so you couldn't tie and get the same prize.
As of the most recent update (Aug 4th) the game has slowed down to an unbearable level. There the resource gains from fighting npcs; the primary way players get resources; have been dropped so low that to upgrades ca. now takes hundreds if not thousands of npcs to get the required amounts. As well as a time lock on other materials limiting you to one random amount per 10 hours. Between 1 to 6 when you need several hundred per upgrade. Or you can pay to win. The game was great but it's ruined.
