I used to love this app. Told all my friends about it. Made my payments on-time, if not paid off early. Had one issue one time and you are pretty much labeled as no longer worthy (and trust me they always got their money-that wasnt the issue). Started having issue after issue after that. Paid off what I owed and finally gave up using it. Just got a notice (10/15) of some bs reason I was denied something back in JULY. And customer service is zero help. Now they run credit. uninstalling.

WARNING klarna will randomly do duplicate payments already made out again, 6 days later as a "billing error" contacting them will do no good it's a "pre authorization" when it's unexpected and 2 weeks before Christmas this is a massive issue. They've been holding it for a week. They also largely go off your credit score, despite what they say it says "you are denied due to your credit score" for a 500 dollar fridge for example when my spending limit is 1k. On time payments don't benefit you.

We were desperately trying to get new tires. I went through every step. Put in the amount and it gave me 4 options. I was IMMEDIATELY declined for 3 of them. But the 4th one approved. Added my bank, got the money, set the appointment for the tires, agreed to the terms & then last second, declined. I get an email explaining & that's fine but why let it go that far? They all declined on the spot why let one go all the way to the end before declining it? So thanks for the false hope. It was great.

It worked just fine at first, as expected. But then I had my info leaked in a data breach and locked one of my credit files. I forgot and when I attempted to make a purchase I was denied. I figured it what was wrong and unlocked my file but still was denied. For half the amount of my previous purchase which I paid off early!! Now they want half up front and then split the remaining half into 3 payments. I'm probably going to use other BNPL apps after this experience.

This is based on the app and not Klarna as a whole. The app is extremely slow and constantly says something went wrong and won't load what is trying to be viewed. This is happening on Android, in my case, specifically on Samsung phones like S25 ultra and Z Fold 6. I'm not sure what needs to be done but an update with a fix to these issues is needed sooner than later.

Don't Order From Amazon With Their Card they declined the rest of an order like the amount didn't exactly match the remainder of the payment plan and Amazon pulled 90 from my bank account. Customer service is some kind of no help AI that told me I should make sure I have enough money in my accounts. Ridiculous. First and last time that I will use for Amazon payments. My day/week was already bad and Klarna just piled on top when it was used to give me a break.

Super easy to use and maneuver around while in the app. In other words, I can go right to "add money" without having to look all over the app only to find it in direct deposit. But with Klarna? It's right there. Thank God! Because there's nothing I hate more than having to search through an app while in line to pay. "Add" or "Transfer" money should be right there on the deck page of the app. Thank you Klarna!

it freezes sometimes and takes forever to load. I was not able to use it due to a paused payment and all my payments have been going through. customer service was not working and could not resolve the issue and I was not able to use the app anymore. it's kinda annoying and frustrating that they are really fast on taking your payments but so slow on resolving an issue.

I have never used a better app! They have a great grace period that lets you change the date if you can't pay on that day. They never miss a deadline and always reply promptly. I must admit that I've tried, and they always respond to inquiries. I've tried Zip and Afterpay, but Klarna is the greatest in every way! They have the best customer service! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

I have force stopped, updated the app, uninstalled, reinstalled and tried to log in on a web browser but it will not allow me to access my account. It's like the app just freezes. When I log in, it will flash my profile screen for a literal 2 seconds then, revert back to the basic loading screen with the Klarna logo. Please fix this issue. It is a massive inconvenience.

I'll change this review if the issue gets fixed because overall this service -was- great, but I had an overdue balance over the holidays that I had to wait to pay down. Once I had the funds to do so, klarna kept my "overdue balance" notification applied to my account even though I owe less than the "overdue balance", they restricted my card, THREATENED COLLECTIONS ON A BALANCE I ALREADY PAID, and then trying to get any real customer support has been HELL. DO BETTER KLARNA.

Update** worst customer service I've ever experienced. They have no idea what they are talking about. My spending limit went from almost 2k to 13! No missed payments, no collections or defaulted payments. But this company shows it's appreciation for good customers by lowering their spending limit! Afterpay zip sezzle etc do not do that even if you've had a few late payments. I have klarna mobile but they do not have customer service for it, so if you have any issues you're stuck!

Closed my account today. Ridiculous that you get a purchase power limit to spend but its not accurate. It doesn't let you spend that amount. Immediately says you cant use it or gives payment options and then declines you. Why give an option let you get to the end and then decline? Or it says, and wait for it "pay in full" thank you so much for that amazing alternative. App used to work great and then something changed. I see a lot have the same issue. Its a shame. Especially during the holidays.

I used to love it. I purchased with this site and NEVER missed a payment for years and years. All of the sudden I tried to do a purchase for like 200. (My limit is like 1,900 dollars. Its said "We are sorry you could not be verified" None of my details have changed. I have never missed a payment. I think I did a pay a different day option 2 times maybe 3 out of 509 purchases. I am so disappointed. This app is ridiculous. NEVER had an issue prior. I am so upset.

WAS a good app for loyalty cards. All my cards were already in app. I was in line at store for 10 minutes trying to pull up loyalty card as I always have done. App requiring me to sign in to card. Horrible!! Inundated with ads and offers. Can't pull up loyalty card. Unable to bypass all the bloatware. Removing app from my phone. Just want to scan cards like before. Greed has taken over these apps!! Good that I saved cards to use in another app.

I had to go through customer service and it took forever to get the balance pay off set up. I won't use them again. Something shady about not having full access to account payoff information without going through hoops. It should always be available along with the alotted amount agreed for the monthly payment available. For example.. the ap should allow you to either select a monthly agreed amount or a pay off in full amount. Hopefully they take this in to consideration.

Updated review 12/20/25 I figured I would give it another shot. I was given my spending limit and when checking out it was denied. Even though it was significantly less than my said spending limit. On top of that they are taking smaller business off of their "services" which has caused a lot of headache for some really good people I know personally. Go with afterpay or something similar where the process is smooth. Not worth it.

Klarna was once a very helpful tool to help you get what you needed and more. I've jumped through hoops for three days and have two payment options, one a linked bank account and my first purchase Klarna amended the pay in 4 purchase agreement to pay over 75% and spread $6.00 dollars over 6 weeks... Of absolutely no use to me at this very moment. I don't even know why I bothered.

Difficult to make additional payments and to find balances. ShopPay and AfterPay are more efficient. Also there is no option to pay and to turn off auto pay... and there is no physical card option. This is a last resort financial solution that I tried on an experimental basis that I most certainly do not recommend. Please be careful with these types of institutions.

I was able to use it, I paid on time early most the time and now I cant use it because my credit score? which doesnt make sense due to its been the same the whole time. their reason its up to the automated system? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. They take fees with every purchase. not worth it dont do it. the 5 star reviews are scams and not real
