Was working fine - now doesn't. APP doesn't open, gives alert it has a "bug" and to notify APP design folks. Did that a couple weeks ago by email, haven't heard anything. APP still doesn't open. This was my 'go to' news app, but now have to decide between KING 5, KIRO 7, or FOX 13. Poor support response.

getting lots of notifications now from this app. I used to just get notifications for critical news stories but now it sends me alerts for everything and it doesn't have a way to filter down to only critical.

this komo news app reported a lot of local news. which is fine, but it has a very biased view on politics which is a big red flag. it only reports good about one party and bad about the other party.

App won't boot up on my Samsung 23+, which has all current OS updates. Uninstalling the worthless POS app. Sinclair sucks!! Quit censoring network programming. Kimmel is back. Deal with it!

Zero stars if it was allowed. You get a notification for some , then when you click on it, the app takes you somewhere else. The more to explore section is another joke. You can also forget reading an article with proper grammar or spelling. I am Uninstalling this app. I'll get my local news somewhere else.

Your app will not even open anymore! Ever since the Beacon Plumbing sponsor has come up, when opening the app, it freezes. To boot, you have not had an app update since 2022. What is going on here? It seems you do not have a tech department anymore that keeps up on the tech problems anymore. I have been a loyal KOMO viewer for 26 years, and I have to say I am disappointed in your lack of pride in your work ethic.

Possibly the most useless video player I have ever used. Wanted to watch one of the reports since I was in it, but it took 10 minutes to do so for a 3 minute report due to the player's complete inability to hold a buffer of any longer than 10 seconds. This is the case on both wifi and data. If you exclusively use the app to read you'll be fine, but at that point you should just use their website.

No updates in 21 months and counting! This app isn't very good it gives you a notification that there's a story but anytime you click on the notification it doesn't actually take it to the story it takes to the contact us page no matter what the notification is always takes you to the contact us page if you're lucky enough to find the story it notified you about to view on the main page you can see it there if it's not there you're pretty much out of luck! King 5 app here I come!

Clicking a notification takes you to the Explore section every time, never to the actual story. Also: embedding multiple videos in one story and having an ad in each one is pathetic, considering how many other static ads are embedded in the same story. This rating would be zero stars if Google allowed it. Uninstalled.

Ads are very intrusive but it was ok for local news headlines. Now it won't connect to sever and is junk. Happens every couple years with this cr@p app. Maybe they will catch up with updates but probably not anytime soon based on their terrible history. Don't waste your time with this one!

App just started freezing at startup, never makes it to showing the news stories. Tried uninstall then reinstall, to no avail. I'm assuming it's tied to the latest release. I hope they get it fixed since I really like its content.

Can't believe there is still no changes to issues. First of all, I have had this app for a few years and my phone always had to be on, (screen on) in order for me to listen. 3 days ago, all of a sudden now the screen won't stay on, it keeps shutting off. I even have the screen on full-time yet the app shuts down the screen by itself. Something has changed. I can't believe they have not noticed this. This is my all-time favorite news channel. Guess I will find something else.

After being completely dissatisfied with the Komo app years ago I thought I would try it again.... The weather for my zip code isn't accurate at all. Says precipitation is 0% yet it's been raining steady for over 4 hours and this inaccuracy happens regularly. WeatherBug and AccuWeather is much more accurate!

why I uninstalled the app. You can't pinch zoom in, You can't highlight text. and frankly with the invention of AI, It can read everything and aggregate the information to me without ever stepping foot on their website. It's sad, I don't know how They can survive without ad revenue. I've always been an opponent of ad blockers or any of that kind of the stuff but if you can't provide what I need, what do you think is going to happen? people from the alternative ways of getting what they need.

Unless you allow notifications there is an annoying blue banner that blocks most of the view of the app. very distracting. I uninstalled the application. I've had the application for years and this just started, needless to say, I'm very disappointed

Why does this app keep crashing after couple minutes?! Must restart every time. Only to have the app crash again and again. Uninstalled and reinstalled app several times. No help! This is the last time to uninstall. Will not be reinstalling!

Its the only Seattle news app I use. Headlines and content update at a decent rate, breaking news can usually be followed fine without jumping to the browser, and very few ads to have to navigate around. KOMO app is much better than other local stations mobile offerings IMO .

WARNING: This app is a bandwidth HOG!!! after using this app for several months, I checked its usage, and it was 10 times higher than anything else on the system. if you have metered bandwidth, avoid this app like the plague!

I was pretty disappointed and honestly a little disgusted when I tried to read the details of an amber alert to see that the small very important description designed to help find a child was broken up by no less than three ads.

The app has been going down continuously after a few moments. It used to be a lot more dependable; it's gotten so frequent that I am going to d/c it and find other local sources for news and traffic. Better overall quality since the last review above.
