not the least bit intuitive. This si the worst shopping app I have. The TSA app is more intuitive. Very unstable and coupon application is unclear at best. couldn't even log into the app due to an error code (not log in error, but server) at Kroger. At this point the only reason I shop Kroger is location. But the extra driving ro a competitor is looking more and more reasonable if it alleviates the frustration.
This app seems to get worse and worse as time goes on. When trying to add items, there are so many glitches. Items don't add to your cart, random items are added, you select an item, but it goes to the previous search, or quantities don't update. Also, the majority of time, it will say an item is out of stock/unavailable, but if we go into the store, it's in stock. Then you complete your order, pick it up, and unload only to realize items that were in your cart were not added. This app is awful!
App is getting worse every day. It drops items from your list & adds extras randomly. If you're ordering for pickup, you can double check religiously, but your order still won't be correct, since the app has a mind of its own. Sometimes I end up with, say, 12 pounds of hamburger since it doubled/tripled my order. ON TOP OF THAT it takes approximately 32 seconds for each time you click on something for that item to load. It takes forever to get anything done in the app. I HATE THIS APP SO MUCH.
Updated review. There's just too much going on. It is so glitchy. Currently, I can't check out because my cart keeps disappearing. A lot of my current coupons are no longer available when I try to clip them. I've been shopping a lot less at Kroger because I'm not saving money if I can't use the app. Spending an hour trying to save $$$ is silly.
I'm finally giving up on Kroger and the app. I regularly have to contact customer service after shopping trips because of incorrect charges, clipped coupons didn't apply, the correct number of fuel points weren't awarded, or other issues. As many reviewers have noted, the terrible app is the source of most problems. There are many updates, but core usability and coupon/sales remain frustrating. Once I get through the current round of points, I'll be uninstalling and shopping at competitors.
the Kroger app is difficult to navigate. the real issue is with their pricing and coupons, because even with their boost membership many times the coupons do not apply properly or at all. these are items that you have actually selected from the option of available qualified items. the coupon will show in the cart, but will change or drop off completely during the last stage of check out, and you might see a higher price then the previous page, without adding additional items
Updates continue to be worse & worse. The slowness & glitching of the app is unbearable! Just adding things to cart , removing, or searching has an extreme delay. It crashes A LOT & constantly signs me out. Also, when trying to make a cart, it will duplicate random items. When trying to delete an item, half the time, the app adds the item back and even more quantities of it. Coupons don't clip 99% of the time either :( Please listen to the reviews on here! This has been going on forever!
Update: The app will run fine, and then things won't work. When looking at the weekly add it doesn't show up. And adding things to the cart won't work half the time. I have to uninstall then reinstall. Then the app will work fine for a while, then will act up again. Update: Uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixed it! Don't know why I didn't think of that before. It's running smooth and loading fast. Thanks so much!
This app went downhill with the last update. Like others have said it's become really slow loading & although I haven't had the expired coupon problem I have had all my coupons put into one long list instead of being able to sort them into categories. Before I was able to go thru each category separately very quickly. Now it takes forever to scroll through to find the coupons I want to use. With the coupons for things I would never buy like baby & pet stuff, having to wade thru it all is a pain.
Goodness I figured by now it would be fixed of all the bugs over the past year. I've created carts that took a while to make only to realize none of the items were actually in the cart and had to start over for it to do it again. Then it freezes up so much especially at checkout. There's so many little and big issues like this. Not the best app.
Since the latest update to your software, roughly a week ago, this app has become extremely unstable, shutting down after anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. The app is also completely unusable with my screen reader accessibility software, and there are products that my store carries, which the app shows as being completely unavailable, either for pickup, or for delivery.
Can't sign in on Samsung Galaxy S23 since last update. All I get is "unable to access the authentication service". Clicking try again does not work. Tried clearing data, cache, and reinstalling. Still getting error for abouta month and missing out on all the digital deals. Will start shopping somewhere else till fixed. Called customer service and they basically hung up on me after navigating a ridiculous automated menu. I like the app for coupons.
The app used to work fine. It now removes half the items added to the cart, shows old deals, unable to add weekly deal coupons, and has many more issues. Support suggests I uninstall and reinstall every time I place an order, which is ridiculous. It's too easy to place an order elsewhere to jump through hoops to use a kroger app.
Won't load coupons when sorting!! I USED to love this app for clipping coupons but now it won't let me sort coupons at all!! For example I will go to sort for best customer coupons and It shows that there are 10 but when I load it, it shows no coupons and says to sort differently. What!?! What is going on bc this app used to be good until the past month or so. I almost forgot to add don't expect your prescriptions to be filled bc the app will not add some prescriptions to be filled!!! Ugh!!
App is so slow. Almost everytime I go to check out in app there are items in my cart but then it keeps saying do you want to start a new order? I click on the cart with several items in it an it pops up empty. Also have problems with clicking digital coupons. I watch my receipt closely so if it fails to capture I go to the service desk.
A few of the bugs have been fixed but when clipping coupons or looking for weekly ad items to add to my list it still says no applicable items. I have to go back to a main screen and then search for each item before being able to 'add to list'. Rather annoying and frustrating process. Also the my favorites and my sale items on the home screen are blank, previous purchases is there but tap on an item and get a message saying it is unavailable. so yet more stuff i have to individually search for.
Every item says delivery unavailable (it's not). I un/reinstall, reset store, it works for a few minutes, then reverts to unavailable. Spent a long time on phone w/customer service and they couldn't see the problem. It was fine the first 2 times I ordered, and I loved it, but now it's basically unusable. What the heck? It's absolutely ridiculous!
It has been a month that I cannot search through coupons. Typing anything in the search bar comes up with 0 results, even though I can scroll through the digital coupons and find coupons for what I tried to search for. I refuse to manually scroll through hundreds of coupons to find the right one when we shouldn't even be forced to use digital coupons. Just give us the lowest price you are willing to sell for automatically!
I updated the app recently, and noticed that the ingredients listed under each product's description have disappeared! I have celiac disease and need to scrutinize the ingredient lists for every food item, and am very disappointed to have lost this important information. I will not be able to try new products or trust old ones without being able to see what's in the food I'm buying. I will look to buy some of my groceries elsewhere. I also can't see or read product reviews for some items?!
I used the Kroger app almost exclusively because it was so thorough in listing all the ingredients, and nutrition facts in easy to access places, so I could order online without having to fear triggering my food allergies. I'm very frustrated to have them no longer available on the item page, nor is there anywhere to find it. they don't even have those parts of the product visible in the pictures highly disappointing and damaging.
