KSAT 12 News

Not ready for primetime. I can't share things via email. Outside links use the KSAT app's browser, which is a sorry excuse for a browser if there ever was one. There's no option to open external links, such as Fakebook's browser has, to use Chrome or whatever your native browser is. That's the first annoyance. Video is hit or miss. I am still unable to watch the much hyped "KSAT at 9" or whatever they call it. Video simply doesn't play. I just see the links to clickbait ads. Uninstalled!

No casting abilities. I appreciate KSAT as a news source, but as a millennial subscribed to everything in this world except for cable, I want to be able to cast any news streaming onto a larger screen. Seems like this is a capability of just about any app these days, so I'm surprised KSAT does not have a casting option available yet. For reference, I'm an Android user with Chromecast, Google TV, Roku and Samsung Cast available in our home. None available.

DONT DOWNLOAD. MALWARE PRESENT!!!!! I use to love this app (last only true news program in San antonio) but recently when choosing a story to read, a commercial would start playing but there were no videos showing, just the sound of a commercial. Very bad form KSAT. I better not have malware on my phone because of your deceptive application.

Very intrusive ads when you click on a headline that take up the whole screen and actually never close. I have to back out of the app when one pops up. I have started only reading Ksat's headlines and going to a different app/ station for the stories. Dumb. There are already banner ads. This is completely unnecessary.

🙁 The changes to website are not up to current times. Certainly not user friendly. The only reason, I have not uninstalled are because of the updates, I received on weather, news, and traffic. C'mon, I know there are skilled professionals to fix this app! This was before changes Absolutely rely on this app for current local news and national news. Great job!👍

New App glitchy, does not consolidate notifications. Loved the old App, relied on it for notifications. Included lots of important AP news etc. Now it's mostly local, even though I turned on relevant news. Buy worst, the notifications do not consolidate into one group. Each stays separate and litters my notification area. Can't find any settings to change that. Disappointed.

Update1/2025 - Why does this app want to play a video when trying to get out of it. It's dumb that I have to close the video or force stop the app. This fuks up my music when I want to check the weather APP WAS GREAT BEFORE! I can't get into settings to disable breaking news. When I click on a news clip, ANOTHER news clip will play. uninstalling for awhile until this app is fixed. Sorry but this app sucks. I reinstalled 2 weeks later... SAME ISSUES. Guess I'll keep my KENS 5 APP.

Apparently this app just stopped working and has been like that for 2 weeks. Already uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same error......update 9/9/19 the same contents are still unavailable and apparently they are working on fixing the problem. It's still the same mess. This is very irritating and this app is my go to app for news. Please fix

I'm beginning to see quite a bit of instability with the app. It freezes when some articles are opened, and even if you close the app and try to read the article again, the app freezes. Update -- This is becoming more and more common. This is the only news app on my device that is this unstable.

Ever since the website came out it has been horrible. The alerts pop up on my phone and when I tap it to open it almost Always says the content is UNAVAILABLE. I have to navigate thru the site to look for the story and most of the time it's still not available. UGHHH SOOO FRUSTRATING!!!

I have a Samsung Galaxy phone & Samsung tablet. Over the past few days, when I tap your notifications, a white screen appears. I wait several minutes, but the story never appears. So, I close the app & reopen it. I find the story title & tap it. It still opens to a white screen. This problem has finally stopped. Otherwise, your app has worked fine.

I'll be kind and give it 2 stars. If I had a nickel for every time this app quits, won't load, loads part of a story and then disappears, or there is a story with pictures and none are shown, stop me anytime. Oh, if I had a nickel, I'd be wealthy. Because of these issues, I refuse to download their weather app, I can't imagine what they'd do to that one!

I would give 5 stars but the commercials interrupt in the oddest moments, and while news anchors are in the middle of reporting news. There are a ridiculous number of ads (15) and run even if the live TV ads are done. Other news apps don't do this, or play the same ads as on live TV. The volume on the ads for the KSAT app are so loud, vs the newscasts, it's ear piercing. I don't think KSAT even checks their app, or comments?

The app the set up for it is great, easy to maneuver, user friendly BUT I am highly annoyed that when a notification on a subject that interests me pops up I try to click it and instead of directly taking me to the story, it will glitch and go back to home screen and I have to to and search for it myself and boy is it hard to find if it's not in the top news stories and if I miss part of a live video it will not let me play from the very beginning like most video apps do.

For the past two weeks I have not been able to get your live news programs. The weather app said "oops something went wrong". A friend suggested I uninstall and then reinstall. It has said pending for two hours. But the weather app is working again

Nice but you can't enlarge any of the photos in the app. You have to open a web browser, navigate to KSAT, search for the same story then open the page and enlarge the photo. Kind of a pain. It would be nice to be able to open more than one story.

This app doesn't always work. About a third of the time it doesn't connect to the site well enough to watch a live broadcast. But you WILL get a ton of constant updates, not just breaking or important news but everything else also.

Bad update! Ever since the new update a few days ago all I get is an error message saying nothing can be displayed. Can read any of the articles, I've bee going straight to the website instead. This must be an error with the latest update.

When clicking on the notifications, all I get is "content unavailable" . I have uninstalled and re- installed multiple times, updated, tried to use the menu to get to the stories, and it doesn't work. I hope this issue can be resolved.

Too many "breaking news" alerts so I uninstalled... I counted over 25 alerts one day, half of which were related to a trial and not breaking by any sense of the definition. Also, there's no way to eliminate ads, give us a premium option to hide all ads
