Actually this is more about Latam's customer service than the application itself. Their customer service, if you can even call it that, is horrible. Long waits on hold, dealing with an automated service that doesn't work or listen, and getting disconnected more times than I want to count (and I'm 100 percent sure it wasn't my phone service because I had many other success calls the same day I called them)... It's the absolute worst. Do better Latam.
I have no idea how people are able to book flights on this app. LATAM can't verify my passenger's info (even though we have definitely flown with them before). Good luck booking a flight with someone whose first + middle names are longer than 25 characters. Also, if you only have a US credit card or Brazilian debit card, good luck paying for your flight!
Just logging into this app is a feat. They ask for 2FA, which would be ok if it worked. It doesn't. The code takes ages to arrive (regardless of the alternative chosen to send it), so that it's invalid by when you get it. If/when you do get a code in time, the logging process fails for no reason. I can't talk about the app proper _because I haven't been able to login_ I would expect such poor quality from a small app, not from a multinational company.
Would not let me do basic functions. Two weeks of attempting to upgrade seats unsuccessfully. Not just the app, the site, the us customer service number. No one could help and just gave various excuses why. Was told I would have to go in person to a Latam store when the closest was 3000 miles away, which, of course, was too late once I arrived to change anything. Will notnuse latam again unless there is no other option.
Does not work (intentionally). LATAM charges less for checked luggage if you purchase before check-in. But that function never works on the app, and many times there are errors on the website. It is not a mystery. This is intentional so they can charge you more at the check-in desk. This has been a problem for the past 4 years that I have flown with LATAM. I try to fly with a different airline any chance that I get.
I keep on trying to book a flight and everytime it lets me go all the way to checkout and THEN says "ticket for this flight not available" THEN don't let me choose it maybe?! I've done this not even exaggerating 17 times straight now. And that keeps popping up at the end. Very time consuming and not letting me buy a ticket. I'm very dissapointed with this app right now.
Terrible app. It is impossible to use it unless one creates an account with Latam beforehand. Without the account there's no way to have a mobile boarding pass. So for one-off travelers, the only option of to print the boarding pass. Most airline apps provide the ability for non-members to use for boarding pass purposes. Not this one.

Don't waste your time using this app or LATAM Pass. Their LATAM Pass never works, then you call the customer service and nobody knows why you get errors in the app, neither they can direct to the right place. They say the only way to use the coupons is by using the app. Not even at LATAM at the airport (either Boston or São Paulo) they are able to help with this. I met someone else with the same exact issues. Very disappointed with their customer service! 😡😤
LATAM charges more if they know the flights you've looked at, look/book using incognito, add the reference to your account later. Use a CC card /virtual CC from the country you book in, or they'll reject it with an error and won't tell you why. Don't buy economy Plus, add an extra bag of checked luggage on a light plan. Use a VPN, they charge you more if they know you're in a rich country(by as much as 20%). Customer service often takes hours to respond. Terrible.
My experience with LATAM was not good. My flight from New Zealand to Bogotá on January 24 was canceled and no staff helped us. I lost three days and need to change my domestic flight in Colombia, but they are charging me for their mistake. The app, website, and WhatsApp don’t work and there’s no support or information.
I'm deleting it. It won't read in English. Also no way to edit my information. I marked that my passport is American, the app changed it to Colombia. There is no way to correct it. Sadly, that means I won't be flying with LATAM. This app is awful.
Can't be used if your internet is not fast. Can't pay if your card is not colombian. So we fly Avianca... We don't always travel to places where internet is fast. Just use the browser if no other choice.
support chat is not saved, so if someone from support changes a flight for you it might not be changed at all. bad experience using latam miles system, they changed my flight back for a day earlier loosing booked attractions already payed, and hotel. uninstalling
Best Airline award, Worst booking experience. They change prices based on the location from where you are booking. For example for a ticket that will cost you $190 to book from Chile will cost you $350 to book from the US website. And they will not accept US cards to book from the Chile website even if you are physically present there. To get around this you will have to book on a 3rd party website so eventually they are losing by using this strategy..
Everything was working yesterday. today that us my flight the app doesn't let me login and goes to a web message saying I can't login for security reason, what is not helpful at all.
horrible customer service. they werent able to help me on the phone and I asked to speak with a manager and they told me I had to go to an airport in order to speak with managers as they didnt have any other lines of command at the call center.
This is the most shit app I have ever used I can't login, nor create a new account because it says I already have one with that email, not I can't regain access. it's painfully trash
If you need to change your flight don't upgrade your seat...they won't refund the money for your upgrade on your original flight so you'll have to pay for two upgrades.
My flight booking completely disappeared from the app and the customer service doesn't even know why. it's been a week I've been calling multiple times per day and now (less than 48 hours from my departure) I still do not have my regularly paid flight on my account. I'll never ever book with LATAM in my life, worst experience EVER.
