It's okay. They throw definitions at you full throttle with no real application and understanding. Finally, it's time to make app 2 but it's quite confusing. I have a little coding experience but when I start to follow instructions about coding the buttons, I get lots of errors, especially If I input it the way its instructed. Not impressed... was hoping to get the certificate but I don't like the idea of just passing through the content to get the certificate I want to gain skills.
I was hoping to have a good experience in learning code, but I bought the "Christmas discounted" deal of 95% off unlimited lifetime access to the lessons just to go to the next page and it to tell me I need to make another purchase to get access to the lessons...the first purchase was only $11.99 so not bad for "unlimited access" but then the second purchase is $34.99 for more unlimited access? If you don't make the second purchase you need to watch ads to unlock every course.
I'm not often this critical of an application that I haven't even used yet, but I'm giving one star due to what comes across as an attempt to swindle my money. First off, there's an advertised "7 yr anniversary 95% discount" off the $169.99 price; however, the price listed in the app is $11.99...which is incorrect. $8.50 is 95% off. Secondly, the app support contact email is incorrect. I received a bounce back. Then noticed a different email in the reviews and also got a bounce back.
It's a great learning app. I learned more about Android. Just in the free courses, I've learned a lot. It's better than doing it on my own or reading textbooks. Thanks, it's very understandable and easy to retain. Just wish I had $ to unlock everything and dig in even deeper.
Downloaded the app, signed up, was sold on the offer for the lifetime pro thing for $12, notice from bank that I'd been charged, app crashed, relaunch the app, log back in, prompted for payment again and no way to request a refund or reapply payment. Beyond that the app itself seems pretty bland for an Android app that's supposed to reach you Android coding. Give me my money back.
...so far very simple, yet, in depth... so deep that after a few hours I am at section four(4) with "A_sdk&Java" installed on my PC & enough background history on "Android" to actually write an 'Android' category of answers for the gameshow "Jeopardy"! I like the teaching method.. but... ...then the sucker ad's, they disable buttons until you pay, so referring to the free basic tier, there is NONE! After accepting their generous 95% off sale, i am making my very 1st APP. links also 1yr old
Automatic "too good to be true" offer upon signup. Claim the PRO Lifetime was for all courses, which I thought meant it would with their other apps, Python, SQL, etc.. But this is falsely advertised. Instead of "for all current and future courses", should be "all current and future lessons in this subject". Refund requested, apps uninstalled.
Interesting concept. But the app comes problems with payments... First try: I was offered to pay 6,99 € instead of 169,99 for lifetime access. I payed via PayPal and the money was transferred. After the first levels of questions, I was asked again to upgrade to Pro to continue. This time 7,99€ instead of 159,99 for lifetime access.. I tried again to upgrade, hoping it would work this time or tell me that I already upgraded. Turns out money transferred again without getting pro status! Unserious!
It's a great idea to have narrative writing! You should know though that some American words and/or meanings of the narration are inaccurate and or also misstated, as far as MY understanding of American language... I mean, the writing is completely accurate, but the narration OF those messages sometimes says the wrong meaning! As in, when the writing reads a word that is not the same like words that are pronounced with emphasis at the beginning of the word, or mid, or end! Im not confused!
Anyone could tell if this is worth? I mean, have you finished the entire course feeling like you can work properly in a real job? Or is it more basic? Like introductory? Edit: For what I've seen its quite a good option if you want to learn, I'd upgrade it if it wasn't for the bugs. Some functions fail to load making it seem all blurry
Finished the course, it's helpful for someone who wants a quick overview of the process of android development. just not the one to hold ones hands through XML and Java programming as a beginner. If you're interested in going into the nuances of programming they have a Java course tho.
1. This app has various levels. You have to click through the previous steps in a level again and again when we start a level after closing the app. This takes a lot of time to reach to the point I have left before. 2. Some tutorials are not clear. Some codings are not showing. In some codings no where it is written where and in which tab of Android studio, it should be applied. 3. The tutorials are for previous version of Android Studio. Please update.
This is a very fun and interesting learning application that can teach you the ins and outs of the Android operating system. It can teach you the programming language and all the fundamentals of creating your own Android Application! I've only just started studying this tutorial & I find it really fun, interesting and so exciting!
So frustrating 😫 once paid & downloaded java jdk & Android studio then nothing matches with the tutorial. Horrible. And the certificate doesn't post directly to LinkedIn, it has button to, but it doesn't actually do it. From section 4 Onward, starting with the tabs in Android developer, this app must be outdated because there's nothing corresponding. There's no clear direction, where this app says to type the code doesn't exist, but there is a coding area with code in it.
A great App. Very informative and user-friendly. I especially love the audio learning as it helps not having to read over bulks of text (I don't really like reading that much😏). It's pretty simple and easy to understand what is being taught too. All in all a Great App.
seems pretty straight forward and informational. I just hope I retain this information and can access it later on. it is a whole new language, it's like speaking Spanish and having to learn English for the first time. it's complicated but I would love a job developing apps for Android since I'm disabled and don't receive a check
Every picture of app above is not real. All other reviews are definitely fake.. this app is a scam, it is spam.. it installs ad pop ups on your home screen of phone. Horrible app. Runs hidden and disguises ads that overlay on other aps. How is this in the Google play app store? It disguises running processes and notifications. I'm blown away at how difficult it is to figure out what it was doing.
Terrible support. I've emailed them several times over many months for a no. of queries & issues - 90% radio silence, 10% pure incompetence/negligence. If it persists, I'll do a chargeback on all payments they've taken. Update: Hilarious auto-response #warning to everyone#; it's a lie; their responsiveness at that supposed support email is atrocious! Update #3: I don't have time to review where this is at; I'm going to assume it got to a slightly better place, raised to 3 *.
Too much history non enough programming content in the beginning. You don't need all the of Android in order to program in it. There ought to be a way to bypass the narrative. I wanted to learn how to program not listen to a lot of lecturing!
