Its AMAZING! 很棒! The voice is clear. The personalization is great. The pictures with animation helps with memorization. The variety of way to learn is so fun and engaging. This is before purchasing the subscription. The subscription is affordable in comparison to others and I think it's worth the investment to use all that is offered through chinese panda. My interest is rekindled, I'm excited and I will be buying soon.

I've had this app for a couple years and it was good when I got it, but over the years they have updated a lot and it's even better than before. They provide multiple ways of learning and practicing the words through visuals, audio, typing, and more while mixing up ways to produce or translate vocab and put it into context. You learn vocab, grammar and syntax and more for written and spoken Chinese. And it's cute. :) As a teacher of language, I am especially impressed and recommend this app!

I was enjoying this app because it taught me a lot, and included immersion, all for free. But now they've overhauled it and made it the same as any other app, I lost all my progress and now charge for the rest of the features. FYI, if I could pay for courses, I would be attending them, not using an app, and while I believe in supporting good resources, the mandatory change is not appreciated, especially after LingoDeer did the same thing. Goodbye, there are other apps to use.

UPDATE: They decided to make anything beyond the basic lessons premium and charge for them. There's not even one study game or activity for free. They coulda started charging without charging for practically everything... || I like this app pretty well. i have found a few things that I wonder are mistakes or not. i wonder and have no way of knowing if im being taught something wrong save asking a native speaker friend. But, for the most part, I like the app and appreciate the work put in to it.

Amazing!! I've only been learning for a few days and I can make a number of sentences! This app has many different ways for you to memorize and learn. What what I appreciate the most is the real people speaking, it gives you chances to test your hearing, you can listen to it how ever many times you want! (in the level). It makes me feel so good to understand a normal speed from different voices!

Just starting out on this particular Chinese app, I have tried many. It seems to cover both speaking & 汉字 writing practice, which I haven't really seen anywhere else. I'll need to see how far the course material covers, but I'm enjoying myself and optimistic. My favorite features include dark mode, writing practice, and grammar lessons. Would love networking features for real-person language practice.

I set the font size to maximum, but still it is too small to easily read the accent marks! The app was apparently written by a young person who doesn't realize that lenses in the eye stiffen with age. There is plenty of space on the screen, but the app isn't using it. I don't have trouble reading newspapers or other papers, but it is hard to read the app on my phone. It is also annoying that there is apparently no option to show the traditional characters.

I've tried many language learning apps, and this is my favorite tool for learning Mandarin. It teaches useful words and sentences, and introduces new words at an excellent pace. I love that it's not too repetitive and I always feel like I'm progressing. You can practice listening, reading, a little writing, and practice pronunciation with the graded speaking practice. I recommend this to all new learners.

WARNING!! Beware if you use headphones. Especially for the challenge games. I wear headphones so that I can hear the pronunciations more clearly. There is a chick peep sound when you get a correct answer, I found out the hard way that this "peep" is ear piercingly loud. My ears rang for over an hour. Developers, please fix asap

I really liked this app, it's probably been the most helpful app for learning Mandarin I've found, HOWEVER it locks the lessons after the first unit, forcing you to get a subscription to continue. I could understand putting things like extra content, games, etc behind a paywall, but the lessons themselves? It ensures that those of us without money can't even use the app.

I just got through the first level and so far I love it! It helps with writing, reading, speaking, and listening in Chinese. I like that I can speed through when I want, or I can slow down and repeat things as many times as I like during the level. The app is very straight forward in it's way of teaching. I also like that for the writing part it shows you the proper stroke order of each character, which is very important in Chinese. However, if you are only trying to learn to speak and understand spoken Chinese you can fly through this part and only take a few seconds to write each character. It is good all around for any Chinese language learner... although I am a beginner, so I can't say how it is for advanced speakers yet.

Absolutely loving it so far. Much better than Duolingo and Pimsleur, imo. I like the pacing and the wid selection of activities for practicing pronunciation and spelling. It can record short clips of you speaking and then you can compare it to a native speaker to discern which words still need practice. There are also helpful tips and resources to better understand the material. Five stars. Highly recommend.

far more realistic pronunciation that happens in conversation. I'm comparing this app to a few others. I like that they make you use the characters in some of the practice. It helps you remember to learn the characters and not just the pingying. oh, and part of the practice is that you create what's being said in a conversation before the current sentence. I think that's really smart to help you start applying before actually talking to someone.

Reinforces everything. Practices speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and at a pace appropriate for those who find learning new languages almost impossible. It makes it all so easy, and makes me feel successful. I've tried many language programs, but this one is by far the best and really understands the learner's needs.

I'm sorry but I'm confused by why so many good comments when you are kinda forced to pay for anything, I tested many apps but this one did look very interesting and good but suddenly I just finished hello and I can't move forward. I can't do anything I'm stuck and it's just asking to pay to learn more than hello??? wth and it's clearly too expensive.

I'm learning Chinese mandarin but with the app I feel like I'm going to make to HSK4. Because wow it makes it really easy for me to start speaking as it has a person who speaks slow and the normal one I'm happy about it really 😊 I'm loving it and liking it I'm gonna tell my friends about it
