This game is pretty middle of the road as far as the genre goes. The level lock is annoying. Despite having more than enough power to progress, you'll be forced to sit idle doing nothing. Pace slows to a crawl after the first week even when purchasing the daily bundles. After about $20 you'll realize you're not getting anywhere significant without dumping $100+ into it. There's not a whole lot of options for characters and overall there are much better options out there for these kinds of games
This game is another gotcha game/skinner box. From the ad it looks like a dungeon crawler. IT'S NOT. You manage your team outside the battle interface, hit the big button to start the battle, then watch as you find out if you won. Pretty visuals, no substance. If you like this game, maybe I can interest you in shoots and ladders. It takes the same amount of skill and gives the player the same amount of control.
If you like clicking on a bunch of icons that have red dots to get things that don't mean much while being asked to spend money to do that better, than this, and hundreds of other games are for you! There is probably cool stuff that happens later, but I couldn't get past the point in the forced tutorial where it unlocks some SSR Archer guy I have zero personal investment in. Maybe it doesn't hit a paywall eventually, but I have a sneaking suspicion it will. Have fun chasing those red dots!
Great game! But I have some gripes... Pro: > You don't have to spend money to progress. It's the first mobile game I've every spent money on, and it's because I wanted to, not because I was forced to. > Awesome visuals and fairly intricate leveling and party system. Con: > Really my only issue is that the balancing in the game is quite rough. Where they surpass their competitors in every other aspect, whoever is in charge of balancing should be removed and replaced. It's quite appalling.
Have enjoyed playing for a very long time. Graphics are great, battle systems are balanced well. FTP actually works with a little patience, and there's lots to do every day. However, players have been leaving in large numbers lately (8/2022) and few new ones are being recruited. At higher levels progress nearly stops, and the devs should never have screwed with the gear system. It wasn't broke, but they fixed it poorly, and now it crashes daily. I may delete because it is just grinding now.
Progress deleted?? Yesterday I had several legendary heroes. Everyone leveled up to about 80+/-. Made the 1st top-up purchase for .99 to get the starter legendary hero... Now this morning, 4/17/24, everything is gone and I'm stuck in a tutorial mode that I can't get out of. DO NOT DOWNLOAD this waste of time/money. This game should be flagged as a scam.
The game is ok, tons to do in the beginning. With the right guild you will have fun. Hard to ascend and get the "right" hero while summoning because you will rarely get it. A lot of stuff for the guild needs to be added, like to change the bosses, a menu to see if people are actually attacking or just collecting. Etc and more. This is more pay to win. It gets really monotonous also. The game still crashes even with their updates. I liked this more for the "story" and the puzzles.
I was led to believe it wasn't pay to win. its worse. Fun at 1st, but then pay to play. One week of 'fun' and then severe bottlenecks. I've spent $20 and don't feel like I've even made a dent. Progress will be very slow, tedious, and expensive after hero lvl 125. Won't be spending any more money and I've lost the will to play honestly. Rewards are too meager to keep up with the materials reqd after lvl125. Ends up feeling like a hugeeee slog. Changed to 1 star because it could be good, 2greedy.
The developers can't make up their minds. They keep resetting the game, and making us start from scratch every time. DO NOT INVEST MONEY IN THIS GAME. I have put some money into building up champions/heroes, and have lost all progress several times. This was a great game at one point, but they completely changed it. if I could give a -10 rating I would.
Game follows the typical Chinese mobile gambling app. Pretty engaging for a week, slows down around week two, then you hit the massive paywall and can't do much without paying. These types of games prey on people with gambling addictions, to great success. That's why there are so many of them popping up all the time. My advice if you really must try it: enjoy it for two weeks and then uninstall and move on to something else.
I bought the $10 chapter pass, bwlieving it would give me all the chapter bonuses by purchasing it. These devs are so greedy, they made it so that when you buy the pass, it only covers the first 10 levels, but whats insane is that they then give you ANOTHER pass, for levels 11-20 that cost 50% more and doubles the amoynt of gems. I want my money back what a waste, i forgot what game i was playing... free to play is the only real way to play, since all microtransactions are huge waste under $25
This is the third review I've left, the other two have been deleted for some reason. This is one of those games where the game plays for you. Its not even like one of those games where you have the option to auto battle, the game auto battles no matter what. There is no manual inputs. It begs the question of whether you're even playing a game or just watching a screen. On top of this its an obvious cash grab, this may as well be raid 2.0 with its constant commercial spam and p2w mechanics.
After it downloaded , I logged off golf clash, figuring I'd give it a shot. So I clicked it to open it up and it runs a little bar across the bottom of the screen for a second then it goes about telling me that I need to check my internet connection. Closed it out, reopened it and tried three more times,& same outcome; check my internet. Now Remember what I said before, that I had logged off of golf clash to play it. So yeah I uninstalled, and played GC. Maybe you're lucks better than mine.
Week 4. No progress. Daily play. Completed multiple events. Not enough to advance my heroes. I'm quitting. I've spent about $20 on this game and still hit a pay wall. Not paying any more. I can see it taking time to advance. But a month? A month and still can't get past a chapter in the quest mode? Still can't go any further in dungeons. No further in demon raids etc. The adventure mode chapters. I've finished. There's no new ones there. I'm done.
Definitely fun for an idle game, graphics are top of the line and heros are interesting to play. Extremely pricey though, not enough dollar deals to give you a bang for your buck. Major draw back for me, and games similar to this, is the fact that they have bronze heros. I never understood why games spend time to develop heros that aren't meant to be played. Then throw them in the summoning pool where you get around 5 or more in a 10 draw. This alone is why I wont spend on games like this.
Another boring idle rpg. Great at first but after a while it's really only good for checking in once or twice a day. It has addictive qualities but it's not going to keep you busy for long. The characters have no value to the player since the goal is to have a strong team using a roster based on stats and not on character preference. Noticeable literary errors. Overall this game is just another idle rpg that brings nothing new to the table.
The game itself offers a lot of fun, early game. As far as I can tell, the rewards and the progress drops way off once you clear out the "beginner" stages of everything. I've run into problems with not seeing things on my screen that should be there. Like the "Battle" button on guild boss pages. All in all, I have high hopes for the game but, I'm thinking I've hit a point where there isnt enough to keep me busy. Because things are locked behind completeing campaign missions.
Fails to load at start 98.9% of the time. I have to shut off wifi and turn back on. Loads so slow I can't play on smoke break at work. By the time it gets pulled up it's time to go back in. So uninstalled like 7 times.. only to find my data was being wasted. So I spent 5$ on game and lost a months data. I should give 1 star but I'm giving it two caus the game itself it's kinda cool. Raid shadow legends is what it reminds me of but personally could be alot better with a few added features.
Look guys this game is an absolute blast the 1st couple of weeks, But then you hit a massive paywall and your progress stops completely. The only way to proceed is to drop more money on it but then you run the same problem a couple days later. I have not been able to advance any aspect of my game in over 3 weeks. This is a shame because all of my friends and I absolutely loved this game at 1st and we've all run into the same problem. Save your time and money until they make a few changes
The first month was fun. I just Uninstalled the game after 3 months of playing. The walls are bigger in Magnum quest than a game like Raid Shadow Legends. For instance, to unlock the next levels of a champion(they are level 200) it takes over 2 weeks of beryl free to play. During those 2 weeks of waiting, you're not really playing the game. Do dailies, then you have no reason to be playing. Upgrade that said hero, play the campaign until you hit the next wall. if beryl wasn't in the game, 4-5☆s
