LEGO® Super Mario™

Fun App! You can see how to build all the Mario sets in one place. I actually prefer this, as we have stacks and stacks of build booklets saved from various sets. You can take pics of your builds, and get ideas from seeing other people's set ups. My 6 yr old can navigate the app and builds seamlessly. Additionally, I have found Lego Mario to be a perfect medium between stem programming and building for kids, especially if they are a bit young for video games.

The app is similar in the way it works to Nintendo's Labo products. It is easy to see where to snap on pieces, and rotate the object to be sure for strangely or very specifically placed bricks. Anybody who's review-bombing this app is salty because there are no physical directions. I do like having an instruction book, however the app objectively works better than a booklet. I purchased a kit that didn't come with any written instructions (it was an open-box item so I don't know if they were missing or just never came with them) and was not too happy about having to download an app for my child to simply build Legos. However, this app turned out to be fantastic! The single step-by-step instructions (rather than numerous instructions on a page) and the ability to rotate pieces to get a better understanding of what they look like have been very helpful for my child.

very entertaining and lego fixed a major issue with the app so your collection of sets is no longer deleted after updating the app. also, it helps with organising all your sets. I highly recommend it.

best app ever, interactive and so cool to use! you can see your Lego builds even half built, it can be paused and opened where you were last because for the book instructions, you have to look closely or remember where you left off! I love this app so so much!!!

Worked fine for 5 days. Now crashing everything time. Can't build added expansion pack or use as intended. Tried different Android devices too. There is clearly a problem. Upset 6 year old, with redundant Christmas present. UPDATE: Problem resolved by Lego and now working. Son is enjoying playing and we have added two expansion packs now with no issues. Good customer service and worthwhile purchase.

I tried out the stand still when boo isn't shy and I was fun! and cool it's also cool having an online collection we need more gamemodes like this but I only have the lego mario set with yoshi and captain toad so 5 stars! and no ads!!!

Since the release of Lego Peach, I've been dying for 3 player co-op functionality. I know it's possible because there is/was a bug were you could finagle the 3 into connecting to each other. As to if they could all connect to a mobile device AND to each other at once.. well.. that's left up to you Lego team. 😇 I'd also like the addition of selectable music for a course instead of 1-1 pretty much every time. Still, I primarily request 3 players please! 🙏 Otherwise would definitly rate 5 stars!

This app is really fun and works really well! and I love the digital building instructions. There so much more easier than the booklet! I remember times where I couldn't understand the booklet. I like adding my sets and doing the daily challenges and I wish there was a lot less lag, it can be really laggy sometimes. And my mario turns off whenever I leave him somewhere for a while and then he doesn't turn back on for 15 min. Other than that I REALLY LOVE THE APP! (IM EXCITED FOR LEGO LUIGI!!!!!)

App was fixed after not working for a couple days. Still not a fan of walling instructions behind an app. Just put them in the box. Not the app's fault. App gets 2 stars removed for being unintuitive. For example, if you want to jump ahead in the instructions and build a different piece, you're unable. You have to click/watch every instruction in order before the next even becomes available to click.

App doesn't open. Have tried 2 different devices and stalls on splash screen. Lego box was missing piece as well.

This app does what it sets out to do very well. What more do you want? It's just cool 3D LEGO instructions for your LEGO Mario sets! You can view each step in a 3D space, rotate it and zoom in, fast forward or go back; it's super cool and useful. Sure, some may have wanted LEGO Mario to have more traditional paper instructions, but there is nothing wrong with this app; it's great, AND IT'S SUPER COOL HOW YOU CAN USE BLUETOOTH TO LINK MARIO TO YOUR PHONE AND DO COOL STUFF LIKE WHATTTT!?

It's great!... When it's working. Got up this morning after working fine yesterday, Mario won't read any codes, and the app just freezes when we open it. We even tried getting it on a different phone, same thing keeps happening. We spent a lot of money on this and I'm pretty annoyed. I got a reply, they asked me to correct my review since the issue has been fixed. But Mario still won't scan anything, and I still have to go in and out of aeroplane mode to open the app

The new update is a downgrade. I think, like another review said, the 'set collection' should return as its own option and the 'creation suggestions' could be its own thing too, not the main portion of the app. It was fun to see the world grow as I collected more sets. I know that as more sets are released, space becomes an issue, but I am sure LEGO can find a creative way to handle low-spec devices. Creativity is your specialty!

As others have said, very disappointed to see the built village gone from the homescreen. The mixer is fun if we have all the pieces. My 3 boys don't think it's as fun though. I'm glad the sets are still recorded in the "brick+" add a set section, but it would be way better to have them back as a 3D world. If we do add a new set, does it even "erupt" onto the grass anymore? That was a favorite part of the build experience. Please bring it back.

I had a previous review that stated I couldn't start the app, but it was only because of a server issue or something along those lines. I can say that the app itself is much more convenient than an instruction manual. The ability to move the preview around is a huge plus, but I wish there was a way to make the purple outlines around the pieces thinner.

This was fine - my son got 3 sets for his birthday a month ago and we built them all with this app. Then, he got another 3 sets for xmas and the app started crashing. We had to uninstall and reinstall which means that all we built in november was lost, and we cant get the instructions for the set we are trying to build now until we go through the instructions for the starter course again!! Why???

I love this app! The experience of having my own custom mario level right in my living room is awesome! But what are we supposed to do with the coins. They don't really do much. Maybe they could buy options for the blocks in the master your adventure set or something like that. I don't think we can buy sets with coins from the app and have them delivered to our front door, that be crazy to schedule on your end. I have to do something with my over 4000 coins. Anyway live the app! 👍

Instructions are only available on the app, which I don't like. After getting familiar with the app and setting up Mario, these sets are pretty cool. I do believe instructions should be included in the booklets as well, but after my son has used the sets and app, I've changed my review from a one star to a four star.

FINALLY!! The frog power up pack was fixed! The app and mario and luigi work awesome now except for the app not showing powerups on luigi. The power ups still work fine on luigi so it is not that big of a deal. Also, I will say again, that it would be cool if you could use coins to get free lego sets and in app features like getting to select a different song that mario or luigi play when they are in a course. For example, instead of the original song, they could play super mario land theme.
