Im sorry but, i hardly get views for my listings. I have the same products on Marketplace, and there is a clear contrast between the two. On Marketplace alone, i can get 50 views in two days on a product, and get maybe 5 on Letgo altogether. I paid to Boost an item, and today, it was only at 5 views. That's unacceptable, so i canceled the trial. Also, the apo doesnt allow decimals, and other categories that make more sense. We need to be able to post an item in multiple categories, not one.
I've been waiting for a while now for letgo to allow the user to select and upload multiple pictures at once and not have to edit a post afterwards. That is the only reason i use Offer Up more than you guys. You guys respond: "Please note, it is possible to edit your post during the posting process." That's exactly what I don't want to do. Like I said, on OfferUp you select all the photos that will be posted at once. No need to edit during the posting process. That was a bad response
Way too many useless notifications, even after turning notifications off. I haven't bought or sold anything with the app yet, but it's sending me multiple notifications a day. I turned off marketing notifications (and many other types), but I'm still getting random advertising notifications. If I didn't plan on selling in the very near future, I would uninstall this app immediately. I plan to uninstall as soon as I sell what I need to. I will use a less annoying marketplace app in the future.
It's not too user friendly in an efficient manner. You load one pic, then have to go all the way back through the process, what an annoying waste of time. Also here in Miami most ppl speak Spanish, I do not. Please make a way to have the communication automatically translate for us. even worse, now the app sends me alerts when my Facebook friends join. I only want messages to ads alerts or price drops on watched items. other than that I do not need to be alerted friends joined, ridiculous.
Update: Repeatedly tried to contact and they respond a month later to an old review weeks after I deleted app and my account. Dunno how that's useful. ORIGINAL: Unfortunately, appears flagging and deletion is automated so, even though different items and photos are listed, if you have any of the same words because items are related to something else you've listed, the postings are deleted. There is no way to dispute the error or have the removal reviewed. This means all the time spent typing in details is wasted. On a computer, I could save text and I type really fast so it might not be so tragic but on a phone this is a really time-consuming process. Therefore, I'll stick to Craigslist and OfferUp. App is definitely not worth the space on my phone.
I have increased my rating by one star. After multiple updates Letgo is finally allowing me to chat with others. Now, my main gripes are: 1) Letgo makes it too easy for people to list things without thinking... the automatic titles are often incorrect, and sellers are not motivated to edit listings to add extra, meaningful information; 2) the omnipresent canned messaging phrases seem often to be hit accidentally, and when they are used on purpose, they lead to thoughtless, non-productive chat.
Although I like being able to submit an anonymous report, it would be nice to have option to get feedback from letgo on some reports. I have a situation where I have been leaving messages to a seller for 4 days. I know that they have seen my messages, but refuse to contact me in any way. This is very frustrating. I have a track.record of being an excellent buyer, and would like to continue along those lines. When there is no communication, there is no letgo.
I've never had an app notify me more in one day about nothing. "someone favorited you're item" I don't care. Just because they like it doesn't mean that they are going to buy it. Why should I look at thier profile? To harass them into buying it? The app constantly reminds you of thier site through notifications about nothing. I don't want notifications beyond an email from a person wanting to buy. I've gotten as many as 7 notifications about nothing in one day.
Craiglist works better and is more reliable. I know it might sound weird, but most of the users on Letgo are fake profiles that text you just to make you think that someone is actually interested in the stuff you're selling. Also the app could be improved in many ways, for example at the moment it doesn't allow you to upload more than one picture at a time (!). It should also allow to create new listings on the website without the app, a feature that isn't supported at the moment.
Cars for sale feature set used to be better, what's with removing mileage and other data (ESPECIALLY mileage though!) from the vehicle catagory's listings? It used to be on nearly every listing, right under the main image. Also it would be a massive improvement to show the price on each image when scrolling through the main gallery view. Otherwise this would be 5 stars for sure, much better local for sale classifieds appl than offerup, etc., even perhaps than Craig Newmark's venerable list.
About half the time you can't get to the chats regardless of cell signal. It just swirls and then says chat failure. Unable to recover chats. Try again later. I don't know how many times I missed out on possible sales because of this. The other thing is the app seems to lock up on the server side and not the phone app from time to time. Also some items deleted by LetGo shouldn't be. Scope rings are optics accessories. Should definitely be allowed as with other seller apps such as OfferUp.
Too many notifications. By default, it will notify you every time you search something, it will save that search and notify you when someone posts a similar item... Which is great if you have specific searches, but it's beyond irritating when your search is generic, say, "table." I dislike that it also sends you daily notifications for items you missed out on, non-search related notifications for 'trending items in your area' and so on, but what's worse is if you disable notifications in your phone's settings, you block chats on items you're trying to buy! Why let me disable specific searches, but not other app notifications? Uninstalling, for sure.
App was fine until last night when my phone suddenly got inundated with pop-up and banner ads showing up every two seconds for hours on end no matter what screen I was on. After some research and running a malware/virus app, Letgo was the culprit. I guess in the most recent update, you guy decided to just let anybody come in, huh? With $1000 phone, it's beyond frustrating to have something take it over and then when you first try to get rid of it, it holds you hostage my trying to force you into downloading something to get rid of it that quite literally says it will damage my phone. Never again, Letgo.
Offerup is terrible. I had great experiences buying and selling the last few years with Letgo. Offerup constantly shows things on eBay, new items, things halfway across the country. If i want new items or to buy on eBay then I will, but thats not what Letgo was about. Letgo was a local alternative to Craigslist. Now its garbage. I will be using craigslist from now on. Change it back to the way it was and you'll regain your users, until then expect a huge loss of users. Get it together.
Terrible app. Nothing I have listed has sold through the app. I have sold it through other channels. It keeps wanting you to pay to feature it, but that does nothing. I even subscribed to the monthly superboost and it still requested I pay to feature each individual item. I canceled the service and it still kept charging me. There is no way through the app to contact anybody.
The bot is getting annoying. I keep getting messages saying I'm a bot and I noticed this item is still for sale on items that have long been marked sold. Also wish that when I'm editing items and I am halfway down my list it would let me continue to the next instead of putting me back at the top again. Also wish I could upload multiple pictures. Not one at a time.
Right now, sellers get alot of accidental messages from buyers saying they're interested, because of a one touch messaging system on the page of the item. I wish there was a "confirm sending message" function. I've only sold a couple items, despite listing many. Theres a "virtual assistant that helps you sell". It hasn't helped at all.
I really hate this app. it’s a useful evil in this economy though. Money making in order to post for free. Greed! And if you think about it their rates are higher than eBay in some cases. Of course that is only if you want your listing to be visible & not very deep in a mountain of listings. No good help or customer service available either. I don’t see where there are any substantial security settings either. I have elected to be verified but this is optional and easily manipulated by the unscrupulous.
The "reveal" setting and the fact it creates an automatic "description" that is way off. It tries automatically putting some motorcycles under lawn and Garden. You can't search for items like you want. If your looking for a four wheeler, make sure to search under lawn mower, model cars, and children's ride on toys. OfferUp is much better and user friendly. The search works much better. Several months with this app and it hasn't gotten better. Only gets more obscure
The app runs good only when it wants to. A good amount of the time, the app will freeze for no known reason while you are looking for something. The app will also freeze when you are trying to contact a seller in regards to buying an item from them. If you think the app freezing at random moments is the only problem, let me tell you it's not. Whenever I would add an item to my favorites so I can buy them at a later date, the items mysteriously disappear out of nowhere! Please fix this problem.
