Not like the remote app I have on my tablet, which allows me to alternate between moving the cursor or typing on a keypad when necessary like for logins and searches. Nothing is more frustrating than having to move cursors to virtual keys on a screen. Equally frustrating were the ads that popped up after every single function that I did. There's no need of that kind of extensive advertising, especially when trying to do accomplish tasks such as choosing new apps. Hence, I uninstalled.
it's a suggested app for our new tv, and it has a subscription edit: the app is even worse than previously thought. you cannot go to your app list without the subscription, I click the home button and I get an ad that I can't skip. I cannot adjust the volume on the TV unless I pay the subscription. the subscription is either $4 a week, $25 a year, or $55 for a lifetime one time payment. but would I need to spend that for each device that has the app? do not buy this app, do not download it
Do Not download this app. After paying a huge pile of money for the TV you'd think a companion app would be free and thats what you're led to believe. Once you go into it it quickly changes to pay to play. Not just pay, but an anual subscription. You can't access anything until you pay up. Very poor and preditory business practices.
don't bother, expensive, frequent ads and half of the time it doesn't actually connect to my TV. plus the ad free version is like $18/yr, just buy yourself a remote for your TV 2024 edit, so now we are being charged premium rates to change the volume?! Way to keep a customer base, yall....can't even turn my TV on or off anymore without paying subscription fees.
I don't know if it's the app or the LG TV, but I dislike them both equally. It connects to the TV when it feels like it, not when I want or need it to. The TV also connects to the wifi when it feels like it. The app keeps asking me to sign up for premium, but why would I do that when it barely works for free? Don't ever buy a LG tv and you won't have to use this app. Life is not Good. 😒
Basic functions only, and I do mean BASIC. If you want anything more than power/channel/volume buttons, then you have to purchase it. 6/13/24> Reconsidering this application after the developer clarified that they only provide basic for free but other functions you will have to pay for even when similar apps offer more functions with fewer ads for free. Some advice for you, sir/ma'am... if you want to succeed in business, you have to learn to give more of an incentive to get people interested.
Only remote that actually 100% works. Can't rate higher than 3 stars because of the paid version cost. $16.99 annual subscription or $28.99 one time. Free version disables all advanced functions AND plays an ad every 10 button presses. If the fee gave you premium for all their remote apps it might be worth it, but that's too much for an app. It's not like they're manufacturing physical remotes.
It works but, moreso as a last resort when I lose my remote. Have to try connecting to my TV multiple times before it works. Then, I have to click something a bunch of times before it registers (volume, arrows, home, etc.) and then there's also the pop-up ads so you can't click quickly or you'll click one. I would try the premium to see if it works better but don't want to waste my money if it doesn't.
Worked great until EVERY. SINGLE. BUTTON. I push, and a purchase option comes up constantly and will not allow me to use the power button without payment, the channel button without payment, etc. I watch ads already, and STIL it doesn't allow any functionality. Super irritating. It worked great at first, and then all of the payment stuff kept coming up. Idk if I want to buy something. I can't even get the free parts to function for!
I bought it when it was much cheaper and love how it pretty much always works. It'd be nice if I could reorder the apps and customize the colors since some of the apps have branding and other are plain it lacks consistency. I wouldn't say it's worth $30, but that price isn't significantly different from what a physical remote would cost either.
My remote works ok. This may be due to the tv smart features but most of the time I have to go tell it to connect to the TV over and over every 3 clicks. Also I don't recommend this app because of the ads it plays after every other click(my mom and husband). I paid for the ad free 4 yrs ago it was like 4.99 forever ad free. Now it's 3.99 weekly or 29.99 yearly so not worth it especially with all the connection issues that are NOT due to the tv.
I just paid for a Netflix subscription but in the Netflix app the remote skips over everything. Every time I push left right up or down it registers as clicking 2 or 3 times I can't type any shows in. This is terrible. Remove the pop up ads that come up while I'm trying to click my remote if you want me to pay for it ad free. Because these ads are coming up while the remote doesn't even work properly and I'm just trying to get 1 show started, it wouldn't work without ads anyway.
USE A COMPUTER MOUSE AS A REMOTE! This app is in useable. This was a very good app before these push ads got as bad as they are. There are more ads in this than the super bowl and it's completely broken as a result. I understand the need for cash but what's the cost? These ads will kill your app when it's the same price for a Alibaba remote. Or temu remote. Even eBay has cheaper remotes. There are even a few remotes with bell apps so you don't lose it again. Just use a computer mouse.
Trash trash trash. Everyone wants to charge subscription fees now. Changing inputs on your tv from your watch, launching streaming services from your watch, and OPENING THE TVS SETTINGS requires premium. Premium is $16.99 a month, or THIRTY DOLLARS one time. I don't know who these people think they are. If you want a remote on your watch search for 'Remote For LG Smart TV'. it has a premium plan but you don't have to buy it to launch smart TV apps, open settings, or change inputs. Be better.
Super pissed with it. It forced me to replace my original remote app for my LG TV (which i had no problems with other then the odd connection failure). It forces my phone to use Bluetooth, even though it's not needed for connecting to my TV. You MUST watch an add right when it first loads and then adds pop up when you are using it every 2 mins. The controls are OK but a little tricky to navigate. I'm not happy, but I don't have a choice 🤷♂️
The most annoying app I have ever used. Ads every 15 to 20 seconds, which appear without warning so you've clicked it before you even know it's there and by the time you get to go back to the app, the programme has moved on so you have to rewind again, generating another and and aarrgghjh!!!! But it does eventually do what it's supposed to....
No way to get your money back once they take the money from your account. I tried asking for a refund for the year I purchased on accident, but all the emails I send are rejected. They only leave one email that I can find... My 2nd issue is that I try using the app, but it constantly freezes and doesn't have the buttons I'm looking for. Would really appreciate a refund!!
not a bad app, good layout, and everything, but I request that you may please have less advertisement for every command I put on the remote. it is unbearable trying to wait for an ad while also trying to minimize time like searching. I understand I can just pay for no ads but that shouldn't be a solution for that problem if you would just lessen the ads on the app so more positive reviews can come in, and more people are willing to use this app.
I downloaded the LG Thin Q from the Samsung store. I went back to leave a review and it re directed me to the Google Playstore. Go figure. But if it's the same app. It's a must download. Zero adds and FREE. Not a single problem whatsoever. It's definitely a must have. Especially for FREE. Thank you SAMSUNG another satisfied customer.
Mostly doesn't work or behind an exorbitant pay wall subscription. Press anything and it just into an advert and doesn't seem to actually signal the tv. Being so basic and restricted as a free(with endless adverts) product means you will never know if its worth the money.
