Life of Mellow

I've had this game for a year or two and I play it intermittently but obsessively. I can't put it down once I start playing. Since I've come back to it this time, I have experienced crashes and it hasn't been saving my progress, which is frustrating. I would have originally given the game a 5 star rating, but I am changing it to 3 until these issues are fixed. I wish the devs would add more content and jobs for those of us that have stuck with the game for years. Still highly recommend.

This game is super cute and it's very engaging. My only complaint is that it glitches every now and then, sometimes it'll show that someone is sick but no one is or demolished buildings are still there after I've pressed demolish. Just minor things and once I return to title then go back in it's fixed. Still a game I could keep playing! Now my farmers arent working 😕 I have 5 farm plots completed and only 3 farmers work the other 2 cant find target or can't find anything to do.

I want to say I love this game. it's a fun, satisfying cute game of watching my mellows survive and every one serves their jobs. But for some reason, it's not saving my progress sometimes. like it doesn't matter how much progress I make or how long I go for, it just doesn't save. then the next time I load the game up, it goes to my previous same file. and another thing, there isn't enough buildings for people playing this game for free. I think there should be a few more buildings.

Could be fun but isn't. Many issues with game crashing. Have to buy the DLC pack or can't really progress. The instructions are on YouTube, you have to exit game to watch and wait to log back in. There's also not really instructions for everything and no help. There really is no winning the game, just how long can you go till they all die, and they will. Slow progress will make the game last longer. No ads is about the only good thing. Basically, don't waste your money, there are better games.

relaxing game. nice to pass the time, but my game keeps crashing so I have to quit to the menu and restart the game before it crashes to save my progress. also once you get to a certain point the game flatlines and you are either stuck behind a pay wall to progress more, or just restart which really sucks. fix these 2 things and it would definitely be a 5 star rating.

My honest review would be right in the middle at 2.5 stars. I wish I could say more, since I do love the concept of this game. Besides the few bugs I've experienced, (Mallows lagging or stuck in place) I just wish there was more you could do. Maybe more jobs, quests, or customization? For now all I can say is if you want to waste time it's a great game, but not something for long-term enjoyment. Which is personally very disappointing when the game is based on progression. P.s. Ads aren't bad!

The game has a great concept and is actually pretty fun. The idea of building a city had always been something I like. But moving onto the cons, after reaching 30 or more mellows, the game just gets repetitive, with limited things to build without the DLC. Secondly, the mellows in the game can sometimes get stuck doing something. Third, the ads have a slight problem, not that there are too much, but there's a huge chance the ad can completely disable the games sound. And there's much more too.

I love this game as a start... I think there should be more too it. All my mallows have houses... and there is nothing more for me to do. There are a few glitches, my biggest being some Mallows get 'stuck' when tracking back to their posts... I even had one stuck in a pen. The storage is sort of a hassle. Having to check every storage unit to see what you need, your mallows can go down hill quick in that span of time. Please add more to the game 💜

Constant crashes that take your game time entire SEASONS back in your progress. I'd play for multiple seasons, and it would crash, and when reopened, would be seasons back like you never wasted an hour or more progressing. FIX THE GLITCHES, and it will be a fantastic game! Also, this is a year update. I bought the DLC when I first downloaded it; maybe that's the problem, I don't know. But it's incredibly irritating.

This is a fun game after you get the hang of it. I wish there was a small tutorial to show you how some things work. That'd help players get started. No ads are shoved in your face except the banner at the bottom if the screen, which doesn't cover anything. All full-screen video ads are optional. It runs pretty smoothly, it hasn't crashed and I haven't yet encountered any glitches.

Cute game, fun but glitchy. The pathfinding is off, the mellows get stuck...a lot, on everything. The buildings will sometimes randomly move. I currently have a farm in the ocean. Restarting the game doesn't fix it. You get several buildings but you can't use in-game gold or diamonds or levels to buy additional buildings without purchasing DLC. I might have bought it if it wasn't so glitchy.

Honestly, as a SHORT-TERM game, it would be a 4/5, but as a game as a whole, it's a hard 3. The reason points are deducted for me is because at the sawmill, I have to continually go back and tell them to make what I need, and the same with the blacksmith and other crafters. Especially after paying for a DLC that cost $6, you'd assume you could have some form of automation. But instead, it gets really repetitive and tedious. All in all, it's a good game, but you can feel the critiques heavy.

Love this game! It's adorable and fun! However, I do have one slight problem. I bought all the DLCs and stuff for the game but I was forced to get a new device and now the game isn't registering that I have everything. When I click on the DLC pack, it tells me I own it, but I can't use the content and it shows the price on it as if I never bought it. Quick update for y'all. I got in contact with Google Play Support and they're trying to get in contact with the devs. Hope for a fix!

Bummed... really wanted to love it but unfortunately it gets very boring. You do the same stuff over and over with no end or growing other than in population. I even (unfortunately) paid $5 for the wood set and it wasn't anything special. Also has tons of bugs. My sheep farm wasn't working properly along with a garden spot that never produced. The mellows would just go over there and stand. Plus the tutorials are all on YouTube and very confusing. Could be a good game but isn't.

Fun village simulation/survival game. It may take a try to get the hang of it but once you do, it can be very enjoyable spending hours trying to make a thriving colony of mellows. I haven't encountered any bugs, or other problems with the game, though there might be a better implementation of the paid DLC. That aside, it's a fun way to spend some time and try to beat your own personal record!

Great concept but very buggy. My screen ends up all blue where I can't see my land at all. The people don't do what they're told but can't be moved to a different job. Update 2 years later and same issues I mentioned before plus some I didn't mention. The game stops saving progress and if you play for to long, exit then go back to the game it'll be at least 5 seasons of progress lost VERY aggravating. So mad I wasted money on this game. Could be an awesome game..

After playing it for a while, I give it a 2 cause it has potential. I'm to the point where I have to buy the dlc in order to keep building new buildings and it would be nice to have the base game with all of these options and then buildings that you don't really need in the dlc. Also, the ads are bit much. I get that you're getting your money for a free game from ads but still, it a bit much. Other than that, I'm having fun but I've hit a cap so probably won't play again.

Idea is good, but a few issues. 1. It's not really balanced, I have 6 workers bringing food out of 10 and food is still missing, makes no sense. 2. Need the ability to get just 1 person. 3. Don't bother with video to speed up 30 s of building cause the game pause during the video and the video take 32 seconds to watch. 4. Tools are needing replacement way too fast, again balance issues. 5. People sometimes get stuck so they don't really work or get food so they end up dying.

This game is really cool and pretty fun for the first couple minutes but unfortunately it's pretty boring without spending money, you can only do a couple basic things without buying DLCs and it makes the game somewhat unplayable after about 20 minutes because there is nothing more to do. If you're willing to spend a few bucks would recommend the game. I would appreciate some automation of the artisan buildings however because manually queuing can get pretty tedious. Overall good game pretty fun

The game is super cute, but eventually gets really boring. And you can't do much without buying something if you could maybe lower the prices a bit I would probably buy a lot of stuff. Also I find the game a bit stressful every time I let people join a lot of people get sick no matter how many potions I make. And I dislike if I watch a add to let people join or something if I don't even skip it just makes me watch another and I give up after watching 3 adds.
