Very frustrating, especially since I've paid for the premium service. Developers, please fix whatever is giving me way more spinny circle than watchable video. I've tried downloading the videos, I've switched the quality to medium. I have no problems with any other streaming video platform. I have limited time each day to watch these lessons and improve my skills. No time for spinning circle interruptions. Please fix it.
They've included a larger number of courses that were on other learning platforms and rebranded them. The problem is so many are outdated or low quality. My biggest issue is the price isn't justified for the amount of high quality original content. I think you're way better off saving your money and looking for sales on individual courses in other platforms or wait until you have time to binge watch a bunch of courses and issue for just one month.
The videos are good and educational. The issue I have is that after a few lessons completed, I was no longer able to add a new skill or lesson to my profile. I reached out to tech support and appeared to receive a response from a bot. I was instructed to uninstall and reinstall the app to fix the problem and it didn't resolve the issue. When responding again about the unsatisfactory results, they closed the ticket.
After watching listening to a few courses, I've discovered that often times the app will at first register the completion of a particular portion of the course but then as I progress, the progress may be undone on one or multiple portions. I use this for recertification credits and this is really frustrating because I then have to replay parts I've already heard in order to get the appropriate credits.
Great application! Well worth the monthly fee! What you learn can improve your skills in many different areas in job related skills... and some in personal success and achievements too! What I learned in one course paid for the entire year service! All I do is, I use it to broadcast to my TV through Google Chrome. What I would like, however, if it would be back available on the Roku app as well as there is only a limited version available now, not the full version. Thank you...
If you are looking for beginner, intermediate or continuation training on almost anything you can think of, this is the app to use. Each lesson is broken down into small blocks with quizzes, it is easy to follow along. I have found so many management training courses here where I can continue improving my skills as a manager, leader, and mentor at any career I choose.
It's not that bad. I like the app. However, every time I try to log in through the library, it says that my library doesn't have access... The library access I have takes me to 'Lynda' on desktop, but login in with that option it's almost impossible, specifically if I have LinkedIn installed and logged into my personal account. I have to delete the apps constantly and then re-download them, and that's really frustrating.
I'm sorry that some of you didn't get what you needed from your courses, but I had a really great experience with both courses I signed with. The instructors, Dennis Taylor and Annyce Davis, were awesome. I was annoyed in the beginning that I couldn't find the transcripts right away and that they weren't uploaded for a while, but they eventually appeared. But the app experience was fine for me. I had more of an issue using the course on desktop.
Given a free course, and then being told there was a 24-hour limit to it (which no one would be able to complete) was a shifty way to get me to download the app. So, I instantly uninstalled it. For $25/mo, I highly recommend something like Treehouse and not an educational business model that's more interested in upselling you in a fairly dishonest way. If I could give it zero stars I would.
Very poor mobile app experience, constantly restarts the course I'm on at a video earlier in the course that I'm not on (my progress never saved). This especially happens when I am switching between apps (taking notes, pausing video to quickly do something else, etc), then all my progress is completely forgotten and I'm sent to earlier (or to the very beginning) of the course. Very, very, very frustrating.
The app has several minor bugs but is an overall great companion to the desktop. Examples of bugs: When a question is incorrect it gives you the option to re-watch a video but clicking re-watch forces the device to switch and lock in portrait mode. Exams are extremely frustrating because there are 3 fixed banners that take up the majority of the screen and cannot be dismissed. One of those banners is a link to download the app that appears even while using the app, it cannot be dismissed.
I downloaded the app and I've been trying to sign up but to no avail.. Anytime I reach the robot detection part, I get all the images right but it continues saying error.. Even when verifying either with my number or email. It keeps saying error. I've seen a lot of good reviews about this app but I've not been able to sign up.
have had various issues with app before, but now it won't allow me to use my company login and I can't access courses I previously had downloaded. I tried following their troubleshooting but there was no useful information. I can only access it via browser anymore. since the app is now useless I'm finally going to uninstall.
While I love the content and the ability to download for offline learning, the courses have a bug where they randomly switch between course videos whenever I rotate my screen between landscape and portrait. As soon as the app responds to me rotating my screen it will seamlessly switch to whatever I was watching 2 to 3 videos ago and then I have to scroll to the video I was actually watching and tap that again to resume. Really funky to work with.
When using the app to cast the content on TV it doesn't consider the lesson as played, instead, the lesson appears as semi played. Even if I watch the lesson on PC and checked as played then cast the lesson again they return to semi played. Plus that, the login process is bad.
In android mobile, When rotating the screen while watching a video, the playback pauses and the app redirects to the course preview in full-screen mode. Additionally, when returning to the original video, it restarts from the beginning instead of resuming from the previous playback position. It would greatly enhance the learning experience if screen rotation did not interrupt playback and if videos consistently resumed from where they were last stopped.
making it accessible only through linkedin premium is what I don't like, and also if I'd want to skip few mins in a video in a course that I already know and could be a time waste, it prevents course certification.
great app. giving 2 stars because after changing my phone to a newer model, I am not able to login on my phone any more. On a desktop - no issue. I tried everything on the phone with no success.
Look at my story: I can login with the browser not with this app. when I try login by Chrome or ... no problem it's okay I have access to all videos but when I try with this app it says "Your library doesn’t have access" yes I contacted my library they spent more than 100 min and finally told me there is no issue with ur library card problem is from app. I cleaned the cache of app, restarted phone, tried with other phone and .... still I can't login with library card.
