For The Completionists! I 100% this game and it's DLC. It kept me from scrolling online and with the DLC, I was happy to see the stories I was obsessed with when younger. I'll wait for more DLCs! Until then, I've gotten everything there is to offer 😴. Definitely play if you need something to idle. the hint system is a bit off but it's no biggie since 3rd party websites have everything you need. Very simple mechanics and some of the combos made me genuinely laugh.
love to play on plane/car rides and such and making progress slowly over the year(s), but like many others the item list completely going blank and forcing me to restart is making it difficult to play. sometimes it happens near-constantly and i just have to give up after 4 resets. Please fix this so i can finish and move on to getting the DLC! :')
man, gg. it's really educational, too. it starts with water land and air, and fire. and adds up to so much! it can really bring a benefit to children, and maybe some adults. though, sometimes it can be a bore, and some people get frustrated that they can't find more stuff, but it's pretty fun, and thankfully AD FREE! hallelujah! btw, the music is kinda sad, i recommend making an option with different kinds of music to choose from. anyways, overall it's good. thanks 👍
Fun game, very buggy. It's difficult to scroll the long list of items without accidentally selecting one, and sometimes items just disappear from the list. Not like depleted items, just there'll be a blank space in the list, if you select and drag it still gives you an item, but the picture and name will disappear. Also sometimes the entire list just disappears, and won't come back unless I close and reopen the app. That being said, still a great game, fun to mess around with despite the bugs
Personally I think the first version was better in many ways. This one has a burgundy/orange theme going on which is a little hard on the eyes and there is this entire animation to merging items, which I found annoying. Also, you cant make an element you already found- you have to find it from the sidebar. Useful in some ways, but I personally didnt like it. Stick to the first version if you like clean, minimalist styles- this one is better if you like a cartoon, flashy game. Not for me, sadly.
This is such a simple but challenging game. The UI is nearly perfect, the gameplay is not buggy, and my favorite part is the unpredictable definitions for each new item. Water: The All-liquid Lol The most recent update has now made the item panel on the right randomly disappear. It is very frustrating. Years later: It's even worse. I can't play more than 3 minutes without the item list vanishing
Used to be an absolutely great game, just perfect until I ran into one major problem. I was scrolling the menu and suddenly, it glitched and when it came back, there were duplicates of items and some items "replaced" others. For example, what looked like metal was really land. Closing the game, deleting it, and restarting the device have not worked.
Didn't experience forced ads. Store lets you pay for more content. Ads are used to get hints based on what you currently have unlocked. They even have a website with all the hints if you want to check them out yourself. All around a good model for game monetization. I personally don't like being interupted with each discovery, but the blurbs are cute. The art style isn't to my liking, but I'm sure many will love it's simplistic charm.
If you're not a completionist, this game probably isn't for you, I have to admit it gets repetitive. If you are, then I think you'll enjoy it. I have a lot of fun mixing around elements and it's exciting unlocking something new, even in the late game. I'm currently 653/720 and I will probably play it until the end. I have a strict no spending money on free games policy, but the myths and monsters pack tempts me to break it. If it's like the rest of the game, I'll love it. Also, NO FORCED ADS!
I've been enjoying this game and its predecessors for a while. I restarted recently and have been having a few bugs. Sometimes, the elements on the right will disappear while scrolling through, and I will need to restart the app to make them reappear. After this crash, the encyclopedia will show 3 new things discovered, but it's things that I've already discovered, philosophy, science, and time. Music will randomly stop and not move on to another song. Any suggestions? Thank you!
I really enjoyed this game. I even bought the expansion, and I rarely spend money on phone games. I do wish we could see a better history of recent items created. Currently, you can only see 6 items, and two of those items are ALWAYS "Time" and "Container", regardless of how long ago I discovered them. Also, "Sailor" doesn't show up in the "People" category? For some reason?
Editing my review because I love this app and was thinking maybe you guys could do more addons? Like you have the Monsters and Myths one, you should make more. A serial killer or just horror one would be awesome. So wouldn't a Disney themed one or video game themed one? I would be willing to pay for them too. You should come out with a new theme that has like 150 or so new elements every over month or so. That would be great.
I honestly think that this is a beautifully made game. The graphics are amazing, the science behind it is thought out, and the background music is fantastic. My only issue though is that sometimes the game is a bit laggy for me, and some items I've made a long time ago say that I had just made them. Other than that, if you want a chill fun science game about elements, I definitely recommend Little Alchemy 2.
It gets frustrating when you can't find combinations, but is so satisfying when you do. Very relaxing, the music is nice and calm. If the hints don't help, there's some guides available. Ads are only there to get a hint. Nice graphics. The item list scroll could be improved. Needs to work as the whole list, not just the side. Maybe an indexed list, but I guess that's what the encyclopedia is for. It's fun, for being so simple, and I don't know why.
Little Alchemy is just like the Flow games. Theyre amazing and fun, and they'll keep you occupied for a good while. But once you finish it, there isn't any reason to keep it installed. Like the Flow games I find that I'll 100% complete it, and then delete it. Then sometime later (months later) I'll redownload it and beat it again. This game does have amazing replayability. The only major complaint is that the sorting could be better. Overall it's a great and enjoying experience though.
Fun! You get to make different items and find the hidden combinations to make everything including life, the universe, and flamethrowers. Sometimes it takes a little "brute force" trial-and-error (trying every possible combination) to find something new when you get stuck, but the game rewards you with new either and items when you get certain milestones, which keeps it interesting. You can also gets hints if you need them by watching ads, or paying for them. Guess it has to make money somehow, but the ads aren't horrible either. Overall a fun and addicting game, though it can get a little tedious scrolling through all of the things you have made when you get further along (though they have a search feature and other ways around the kludginess). Check it out if you liked Doodle God and games of that ilk.
This is probably my favorite layout since it has a scroll list of all available items next to the work space. Matches can be made anywhere in the workspace, so multiple combos can be tried quickly. Some combos don't make the most sense to me, but there could be 1000s of elements if they included all possibilities. I played to depletion of everything and it is NOT as fun towards the end. If I replay I will likely stop when I discover most things but it's starting to get repetitive!
I really like this game! It's addicting to see what combinations create. The one annoyance I have is when I'm scrolling through the items or dragging them it thinks I'm wanting to go to the encyclopedia page. Similarly when I'm looking at an item from the list of items in search(ex:basic items) and decide I want to add it to the workplace it doesn't register my click on the little paper icon and goes to the encyclopedia page instead. Soo I guess if clicking things is made easier or less sensitive it will really improve my experience. Otherwise, fun game!
Fun, if slightly weird combos. Reminds me of the crossword puzzle clues you get that make you say "haha... what?!" But still! It's fun and I like it enough. Preferred the first version oddly enough. But the animations on that one weren't near as good. It's something I can not put my finger on yet I reckon it's cause of the different art style. The former way was a little more charming to me..*shrug*
I used to play the 1st game; this version is very similar, but more variety. Some of the combos have been changed, giving a nice twist to players of the 1st game. I do wish there was an option to recreate elements I've already made like in the first game; it's a little frustrating to have to scroll through growing menu to find something I made earlier. On the other hand, this change stops me from getting stuck in a repetitive loop when I forget what I have or haven't already tried. Nice remake.
