Logitech Mevo

This app used to work fine, but after a series of updates it no longer streams video to the phone without stuttering and freezing constantly. I contacted support, who did virtually nothing and then resolved my case after 10 days and without any other possible solutions than "umm try turning it on and off again." I'll never buy another Mevo product. They screw up their own software and the support is garbage.

useful tool. occasional promotional interstitials are rare but extremely annoying when they do show up. I need the app to adjust a scene during a church service, and the relevant duration is 2 seconds. I shouldn't be forced to take 5 seconds to locate the x button and move past a promo page while my opportunity is wasted. by the time I can reach the camera view, the view no longer needs to be adjusted. what did I open this app for?!

can no longer stream via WiFi, even when camera show it's connected to WiFi. keeps asking for firmware update when firmware is already on the update it says to update to. super frustrating and no help from support

What a disappointment! After the recent update, I was livestresming an event, I thought, only to find out I recorded and Livestreamed six minutes of an hour-long service. At first everything seemed okay. Then I kept getting connection error messages, and when I attempted to reconnect, I kept getting a warning message, but there were notification and screen messages stating it was still streaming!!! Embarrassing and costly error!

Probably alright for 1 cam recording and streaming. This is about multicam recording: ☆Lacks necessary functions to quickly switch between cams in the app. ☆Fails to connect/detect the Mevos sometimes, forcing me to restart the Mevos. ☆Mevos and the app have to be in the same LAN to work. ☆4K doesn't work on battery ☆4K Recording automatically stops when you're losing the power supply. Even if it's just for 2 seconds. And since you can't view all mevos at the same time it's hard to monitor it.

Do not waste your time. I was a very early adopter of mevo. It used to work great when audio could run through the save device/mevo app. Now you can't run audio input through the same device and need a seperate device to run meve mic. So I need a second device just to run the mevo mic app? So dumb. Moving on from mevo. Seriously, don't waste your time.

Very unreliable. The idea behind mevo is a good one for people on low budgets. The execution leaves a lot to be desired. The biggest issue I've dealt with is stream dropping. We were able to live stream on youtube successfully 5+ times, then suddenly we can't get a stream to function on YouTube at all. My advice: drop more money on a nicer camera and use OBS.

Support, please help asap. 11/17/23 After I did the update, I am unable to use the mevo cameras they will not pair. I use these every weekend to record my kids' sports games on gamechanger. I used my tablet since I haven't updated the app on there, and it works perfectly fine. Not sure if it's a quick fix, but I rely on these cameras for recording

It's great, when it works, however the latest rounds of updates, cause the live streaming to either be a hit or miss, I would say it only works 40% of the time. UPDATE: I downgraded my review to one star now. It constantly loses connection. I have upgraded my wifi to fiber optics, tried ethernet, and LTE, but at some point in streaming live it loses connection. Also, I am paying for the premium plan.

Gets the job done for live streaming without the need for a PC. Some controls can be a little fiddly on a small touchscreen, but that isn't too do with the app One complaint is the time taken to load overlays from PDF. It usually takes about 5 mins to upload approx 20 slide/1MB pdf from my phone to the Mevo. It doesn't seem to be limited by the network, so not clear what is taking so long, but it does so every time. Would be very pleased to understand if there's anything I can do to speed it up!

This was recommended to us for use in Church to livestream the service and we can see why. Simple to set-up, easy to use, rock solid reliability for us (once we got the in-house Wi-Fi sorted out). Recent addition of graphics and countdown timers make things look more professional. More advanced users can integrate this via NDI or Webcam App (separate) to use with OBS and other streaming software. Have also used it to simply record to SD card for later editing and uploading.

Worked great until Logitech bought them and changed the app. First problem is it will not close, removes buttons and/or guestures so you can't exit the app. Have to reboot phone to close it. Second problem is when the camera is connected via USB the microphone no longer appears on PC, it was great to hear entire room for when we used it for zoom meetings in board room. Now there is no mic and one on notebook only picks up people next to it.

Wish we could do no stars. When asking to update the firmware, I set my phone (Note 10) next to the mevo and the update circle goes all the way around then says, "can't connect to Mevo." And judging from all the other reviews, this product sucks. I would tell everyone not to get this. Waist of money and time.

when the camera works it's great. I have to spend 15 mins before I go live trying to get the damn thing to work. it always says lost connection with mevo or some other message. u cant set this up and immediately get started. if u are required to hurry up and capture footage ur screwed. I bought the bundle with the boost etc and I'm pissed at the functionality

Fix the crashing. It's really annoying. I've used this during a live stream. And the app completely closes itself in the middle of a stream. The whole time it works just fine until that. And I used to think the app was great until this started happening

Poor experience! App is not user friendly at all. it seems to be simple but doesn't really do what you want the way you want it. The full features come with a purchase, something that was not explained on the box of camera. so you think the camera is equipped with the features that you see in the ad, but it's not. I'm not happy that the manufacturer was not clear and honest about this. I returned the camera to the seller.

It was working fine on my tablet until the last couple of updates, I then tried to run it on my phone and it constantly crashes. This app has so much promise to be a great one but unfortunately, it is still acting like a beta. 10/14/2021 Update: I changed my star rating to 3 from 1 since the past 2 updates are working fine and corrected the disconnect and crash problem which caused the previous updates to act like a beta. 3/2/2022: The last update is horrible, l will wait for the next update.

This app is so unreliable that it's useless. I use three mevo cameras and can almost never connect to any of them with the app. There is always some issue, or sometimes, there is no issue, and it will just say lost connection at the last minute. Also, if a camera is zoomed in or out of focus, I can't fix it unless I connect with the app, which I can't do. I wish I didn't have to use these mevo cameras because they don't work way more often than they do work.

You had it fixed the last few weeks of July (I was waiting to make sure it stayed fixed before I comments) Then guess what? Today's update BROKE IT AGAIN. Now I am back to almost a minute (vs 10 sec maybe) to reconnect on my phone if I look at other things. Undo what you just did and go back to the simple reconnect.

I have to say that this is a useless app for an expensive piece of kit. The app will constantly not find mevo and then crashes when found. I am sitting on top of my router and mevo and am using the latest Android flavour. Someone needs to sort this out quickly otherwise I have a lump of lead. Thanks
