I used Bell, Virgin Mobile and Fido in the past, but their cheapest plans kept on rising more and more and just didn't live up to the service I wished for in the end. That's when I came across Lucky Mobile, it had some weird quirks in the beginning but they got resolved over time and it's by far the cheapest service for what I needed I could ever find. I'm really glad I came across them at the convenience store when I first saw their SIM cards for just 5 bucks. 10/10 would recommend
Extremely difficult to set up. I tried transferring my phone number to LuckyMobile 3 times. It never transferred. Lots of error messages, I couldnt access my account that I had previously set up. They didnt let me choose a username or password. When I tried to recover the account it told me it doesnt exist. I tried setting up the SIM card 3 times, and it didn't work. By the 3rd time, it told me the card was already in use, which it defenitely isn't. Now I'm going to loose my phone number.
I was looking for a cheaper way to get a phone plan and when I came across a Lucky SIM card available at the Dollarama I was syched!! I grabbed it and it couldn't of been any easier then a few buttons pressed and choosing a number and I'm off with my plan. why I waited this long to get it is beyond me. but thank you so much, Lucky, for making it as easy as you have. So far im happy with everything and I think I will be happy for a while too. I recommend this for anyone that needs a plan! 🙂
I didn't have a very good experience with this company so far, always something wrong and the data sucks, literally tops up with 50 dollars a couple hours ago but my data isn't working so I called and Lucky said the data was used up..impossible because I literally just bought it Lucky also refused to replace the data that I never did get very disappointed in this company (Lucky) especially considering I left my previous provider for the last 15 years with no issues may I add...
4g speed isn't fast enough often bottlenecks slows, been over three years with lucky and no increase in speed. not much sense of having 80gig pretty much unusable, videos don't work properly, music cuts out, navigation is glitchy. web Pages in general are slow to load. I'm currently shopping around to change.
The app only allows fixed top up amounts ($5 increments) which do not align with the plan amounts - so if only using the SIM for a few months (as I am as a visitor to Canada) I will end up overpaying for the plan - this only became apparent at the first top up. Makes me feel like I've been scammed.
I love Lucky for the most part, I have a decent plan at $29/month for 20gs of data. The only thing that annoys me is there are constantly "error" codes and technical difficulties whenever I click on the app to login and do whatever I need to do. It's happened 3 times in the last 24 hours, c'mon.. Why are there constantly technical difficulties? I just want to login, I need to and I can't right now because once again, "error" "technical difficulties," "please try again later." ...

everything was OK for a few years then it suddenly started doing a bug with top up from my debit card that I have always used. apparently its a known bug with lucky mobile and the only way around it is to buy lucky top up cards. it made my life hell this week. lucky fix this!!!
Looking to set up a new account? Don't worry, they won't accept the payment and then there's no one to help with the activation in any other way. I'm 2 hours, 3 payment methods, and 4 AI chats into failure.
it's pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of ANY kind of "human" support (technical/general), which becomes very frustrating real fast..... which at this point has me seriously considering changing providers.
It's fine and everything, but please for the love of god, add the option to send less money to your account. Sometimes I only need to send $1.00 not $10.00 ffs
lucky is very easy to use when u just need calling and texting at the time or add on the date later for a good low price
tried to top up account, did not remember user name, would not stay at same page, had to go back to the opening page multiple times. the stay signed in option does not actually stay signed in. why have the option if it doesn't really do anything?
DON'T RECOMMEND!!! I removed auto top up and they still charged me and won't give me a refund back cause apparently it's not in their system record/history when I showed them proof of my bank statement that they asked for... right before Christmas they steal my money and won't return it.
this app crashes frequently and force logs you out randomly. the only redeeming quality is that the service is somewhat cheap. trust me as soon as I find something cheaper I am out

as long as you have all your account information it's good but if you give 95% of your information and forget one little thing they don't give you any wiggle room or another way to verify your account.
lucky has been one app I will never give up. You get free 20 dollars for the dollar store, and I recommend this to anyone it's cheap, convenient, and great to g have
Its a fairly decent network coverage for the price you pay. The only issue I found is the level of either incompetence from their customer support team where they can't locate an old account to stop payments on it and there inability to be able to converse clearly is concerning.
