I have been using this email provider for over a month, at least, and thus far it functions well for receiving, reading, composing, and sending emails. I have yet to use either the cloud storage or calendar, so won't make any statements regarding those features. The reason for the 2 stars stems solely from my inability to add another account to the app, I feel like that is important.

I just installed it, made multiple tests and it works great! I read some comments concerning features, UI, etc. A Christmas tree is plain and barely noticeable until you hang a ton of lights and ornaments on it then it's in your face! The features are there, you just have to look past your nose. If you want convenience over privacy and security, go back to Gmail....

While the privacy features are excellent , and I like minimalistic approach, and I am evaluating this to be paying costumer , and easy to reach menu is a must, bc without features , I can't do ... So it says I can add email to trusted list , or my address book, to load images but it does not say how.. I check boxed a sample email, there is no choice anywhere in the app , to add to trusted list , or address book .. I am sure I can go on my desktop . but , what in the shasquash polkadot pajamas?

This is my favorite power-user privacy-oriented email service. I've never experienced issues with being logged out, the keyboard not working, or lag. I love that I can bind my custom domain to this service and have many aliases. Mailfence being based in Belgium almost guarantees IP data and any other logs can't be subpoenaed. Support is responsive if you allow them the chance to make it right. That said, it would be nice to have less reasons to need to contact them (better documentation).

I started out as a free user and saw many benefits ie. Security, encryption, calendar, address book, sms, and even fax capabilities. It was an easy setup process. Quickly learned the system and was sold on it and became a paying customer. I would have liked to see the app have same features as online version such as the calendar and adding more email accounts and customization features or sync settings with online account. I'm sure in due time that will happen. Thank you!

Zooming into emails with small font size gives headaches, not easy. Either the app doesn't respond at all to the respective action or it responds suddenly with a large, uncontrolled zooming into the email. Update: this weird behavior remains the same after the most recent app update, so 1 star remains until this gets finally fixed.

total lack of customer support, can't sign up get some random reasons why, told do it again in 24 hours. What kind of BS is that? Write, 48 hours nothing... if the first hurdle is the registration in onboarding I don't imagine the rest of the app is thought through. Do they want paying customers? <--- 2 weeks later still no response, so i guess the answer is no. With support this bad you're best spending money with anyone else

The app is sometimes buggy, but Mailfence is a great email service provider. It was easy to set up my mailbox using my custom personal domain. One issue is the spam filter is a bit too strict and marks legitimate messages as spam, so I disabled it.

Buggy and slow. Update: The app is very slow and freezes frequently. For example, deleting a message or navigating between screens takes way too long. The PWA version feels smoother, but obviously lacks the feel of a native app.

UPDATED: I replied on 2/2 and also 2/10.***DO NOT GET FREE ACCT!*** If I could leave a *NEGATIVE REVIEW*, I would!! Mailfence BLOCKS YOUR INCOMING EMAILS if it thinks it's spam. There's NO WAY to fix this! Can't adjust settings so their spam filter is less extreme. Can't whitelist. Adjusting settings COULD fix this, but those are BLOCKED FOR FREE ACCT USERS!?!?! Mailfence's IT support told me to change those settings. I clarified I don't *have access* to them! STAY AWAY from Mailfence!

...have tried to sign up now more than 20 times and even asked my friend to try. At first the MF team said to try again, but, when contacted, did not help in any way and now they admit registrations are temporarily closed. do you know how much time I wasted? I do not recommend this service. REPLY: certain regions like both Lithuania or USA, REALLY??? Your team didn't help, just stopped replying. You guys are weird.

Mailfence is a solid choice for anyone looking for a basic, private email app. It offers strong security features and respects user privacy without unnecessary complexity. The interface is straightforward and easy to use, making it great for everyday email needs while keeping your data safe.

Second edit: your android app forgot more than four/five times username and passord, and each time I had to re-write my infos: I cannot trust it anymore. Never happened with other email apps. Your mail server works very well and k-9 and Thunderbird do fine too on Android and linux, just your Android app does not.

OK app, but I have to keep signing in. I sign into the app with no issues, but then maybe a month later I have to sign in again. Why doesn't the app remember my sign in details. The issues being, you don't know it's signed you out unless you click on the app so don't receive email notifications missing important emails. No other email app does this.

Mailfence was a great solution for me since 2019 when I became a paid customer. Two months ago I updated my account information ahead of the annual subscription. To my surprise, I got an email from Mailfence saying my account "was scheduled for deletion due to inactivity" even though I use the service almost daily. I emailed customer support to resolve the issue. They sent a confirmation of the scheduled deletion and have ghosted me ever since. Users beware.

I can't even sign up while connected to a VPN. And no, I will not turn the VPN off just to open an account with you.

Privacy is great! However, mailfence does not filter out spam. There are no productivity features like send later option, store docs on account. Have multiple accounts signed in at the same time. So glad they finally even have a mobile app, but it doesn't have calendar. I'm a sucker for privacy so I'll be staying but hope Mailfence catches up with times.

Promising. Pretty much what I'd hope for in an email app. The (major) flaw is it's only good for reading emails and composing short ones. Beyond a certain point text being typed disappears behind the on-screen keyboard so you have to hope it saves as draft and resort back to the web version (*Now fixed and star rating updated accordingly - good work, and thankyou). Other than that, it's a good and uncluttered app that I hope to fully be able touse in future versions.

This is a really poor app. There appears to be no settings, to change anything, and despite leaving the service turned on, I have to sign in every time, and copy my long password from my password manager It drives me mad that . You need to improve this app a lot, you really do. 2 stars is generous
