It was nice for the first two rooms- very fun and engaging. But by the time you get to the garden every task requires 10-20 stars and 99% of them have nothing to do with redecorating. (It costs 10 stars to tell some lady "thank you") And when a task DOES include remodel you don't get to pick anything, the design is chosen for you. This game's only saving grace is the variety in levels- match 3, puzzles, and hidden object, plus an adventure side quest. Nice to have the switch-up
Good game, horrible support. I've been playing this game almost daily for a couple months, and am over level 3000. I'm usually not a fan of match-three games, but I don't mind the style of this one, plus there's a little variety with the search levels. If it wasn't for their horrible customer support, I'd give the game five stars. I've had two separate in-game bugs now, and contacting them to get things resolved is extremely frustrating. My lastest issue wasn't fixed before an event ended.
My daughter downloaded this on my phone. It was fun at first but then it started to get extremely difficult. I've played a ton of match 3 games and they all kind of go through the same pitfalls but this one... wth.... there isn't enough moves to even get close to accomplishing anything! I got 15 minutes of free time to play and wasted it all on 1 level (and managed to lose my other 4 lives on it too and still never passed it.) I play games for fun, not to create more stress. Uninstalling.
I play this almost daily. I prefer the hidden object games overall and they are fine but the match three games are not fun. Some are listed as Hard or Very hard but relatively easy. then you come to a regular match three that is harder to do than the hard. Then on the game to get more gems by doing seven (7) games you always get two to three Hard match three games to force you to spend $ or lose streak.
Repackaged Homescapes.l Literally - same developer. There's a couple new puzzle features like hidden object but I don't feel like they add much. These games are psychological money grabs. Great at first, then they make you feel like you have to pay a bunch of money to advance and so you won't lose "special bonuses" If you know this going in and refuse to fall for their mind games, it can be enjoyable for a while. Eventually you hit a point where it's nearly impossible to advance without $$$
The reason I gave it a 3 is due to a couple of things. 1. The games are set up to hopefully get you so hooked that you purchase items to win the game. For example, the goal is to collect 60 items of grass, plus 23 items of something else, yet you are only given 16 trys to win, which is overly challenging. 2. This is just a suggestion, the game where you collect the gold for the single mom with child, with each play can they progress and not continue to replay the same act. Otherwise good!
They destroyed this game... it used to simply be a hidden objects game, and the levels got more difficult. I loved the scenes and objects. Now you have to play a bunch of rounds of some stupid match 3 game to get to the hidden object games, which are much less difficult than they were before, almost as if that aspect has become an afterthought. Extremely disappointing as this was my go-to game. I'd pay to have the old version back.
Started out really fun, + a bonus of no ads, but it becomes too frustrating too fast. Match-three puzzles are labled "super hard" and take many tries or power-ups to win. Tasks increase the coins needed to complete but the puzzles give you the same amount. The variety of hidden-object and logic puzzles disappears and you're given super hard match three over and over. Too many sidequests that are impossible to complete in the timeframe without spending $. The fun is gone too soon. Such a shame.
It's a really fun game that is made impossible to play cause of the match 3 games used to get energy and/or stars to progress thru the levels. After a few weeks of playing you get stuck for days and can't progress. You can "buy" your way ahead but I can't afford that. The mini game scenarios and hidden object games (played to advance like match 3) are great. Some challenging but not impossible like some of the match 3. I'm actually really disappointed to uninstall but just not worth the stress🙁
Highly disappointed in recent update. This was previously a hidden object game, which is what we liked about it. Now it's just a match 3 game. I hate those games and if I had wanted a match game, I would have downloaded a match game. Very poor choice. Please bring back the old version. I'll keep the app for a bit to see if it changes back so I can save my progress, but I won't be playing it again until it does.
Update: while I still enjoy the game I wish the mansion puzzles were more interactive. We just watch the characters solve it like magic. Disappointing. I read some of the other reviews and people complained about there being too many match 3 levels. I like the variety, though I do wish the hidden object and mini game levels were more challenging though like the match 3 levels are. I'm just starting out though so we'll see how I feel when I get further in, but so far so good. 😊
I used to love this game and my 8 yr old and I enjoyed finding the hidden objects together. Now I am stuck for days at a time on many of the match-3 levels--which is not at all why we started playing!! I never signed up for a bad Candy Crush knock-off!! I have read dozens of reviews that are all saying the same thing, that we all don't like the newest update with the addition of the match-3 nonsense. I get that they wanted to 'diversify the game' but it was a failed experiment. Change it back.
It's fun for a bit... then like every other mobile game, you reach a nearly impossible level. Once you've run out of helpful items, your only option is to wait a while for more or buy them. Not a big fan of "Gotcha" game tactics. Not worth it. The levels aren't just hard but they give you very limited moves to complete tons of tasks. Nearly impossible if you don't have add-ons.
I played this when it was a fun hidden object game, but now that it's a painful connect 3 game its not really interesting. I keep getting stuck on a level for days because I can't afford powerups or run out of lives. The hidden object levels (few and far between now) are too easy because none of the objects move anymore, so there is zero challenge. It's easy to tell why they went to pay-to-progress.
First it was the security policy, they finally fixed that. Now, I come back to play and it's nothing but a matching game. If I wanted to play a matching game, I would download just that. Those levels, which are basically all levels now, are so difficult you can't even play it, even with the boosts that are so hard to get. A game doesn't need "diversity". We liked the original game. Once again, Uninstalling until you bring back the original game of seek and find. This was my favorite game.
It could be so much more fun, but the big problem is that the puzzles quickly become too difficult to complete without spending real currency. I understand that these games often rely on microtransactions, but making the game impossible to finish unless the user spends real money is terrible. So, unfortunately, this game is just another cash-grab like so many others. It's such a shame, because I was enjoying this game until the supposed "Easy" challenges became too difficult to complete.
Im so hooked into this game that I've spent money to buy deal in order to play. I just hate that they don't give unlimited energy for few hours to atleast enjoy the game without worrying how much energy you have left. I love that it's ad-free! And can play with/without internet! It's amazing! All I wish is that for them to reward unlimited energy to have fun and save stars and coins. Also, why's everything so expensive? I mean, to renovate cost so much stars and not enough energy as a reward.
When I first downloaded Manor Matters some time ago (has it been years?), it was a search the scenes game. Recently it changed with most of the game being match three. I'm interested in the storyline; based on the available areas to work on I assume I'm close to finishing. That's the ONLY reason I continue to play as I already have another match three game.
My wife originally started playing this game and I loved watching her. So, I decided to download it myself about a year later. It's ridiculous how difficult some of the levels are (and how you need a stupid power up just to finish some of them) not to mention IT'S ALL MATCHING NOW. If I wanted to play that, I'd have downloaded candy crush. Finally got fed up with being unable to progress without spending money that I uninstalled it. Will come back when it changes.
Ok so this game is fun in a lot of ways but I don't recommend it unless you want to end up spending money.. I loved the search and find puzzles, I wished the puzzles to get food to the pets were harder, and the match 3 games were ok for a while. They've programmed this game well, eventually you will win whatever level you're on- every time... But some match 3's will take days, you'll use power ups and it still won't help... It's not fun/challenging, it's ridiculous and money hungry.
