MARVEL Strike Force: Squad RPG

Over 1 year in. Game starts slow, picks up, then drops off hard...extremely repetitive and the ROI drops steeply to push you towards paying to make progress. It can take weeks to collect resources to level a single character up from lvl 95 to lvl 100. Oh, and it doesn't matter how many times a day you log in, if you miss their little 7 hour window of time, you lose your streaks...Thats why im quitting. Devs also push you to pay and purchase outside of Google to get slightly better rewards also.

Game has continued to turn to a pay to play. I played for 4 years and was a light spender. If you don't spend lots of money to unlock and rank the latest meta team as high as possible right away, it's extremely difficult and not fun to play. Adding that most milestone events are impossible to get the last few and most useful rewards unless you spend money. *** Quit Aug '25. The pay to keep up at a high level turned me off to the game.

I've been playing this for a couple weeks now, and I'm really impressed. Yes there's a lot of monetization going on, but even f2p gives you lots to do and lots to buy with in game currency. This game is also really generous with characters and loot, and there's so much to do that it never feels like you have to buy energy or gold to keep going. The combat is dynamic and fun, though it can drag on occasionally. I use 3x speed. For a game of this type, I think this is a really solid choice.

I am a huge fan of Marvel and love this game. It's combat and gear system are easy to understand and the team synergy available if amazing, even as they add new characters. However, lately I've been have an issue where I cannot participate in some raid events nor can I auto battle for character shards. The raid battle when I try to start it kicks up an error and forces the game to reset and the characters I'm trying to auto battle for their not shown on the "where to find the shards" page.

Super laggy (consistently takes 30 seconds - a minute just to start). Also, I've only been playing for a day and the game has already crashed twice. Also, they changed it to where you have to have a scopely account to redeem rewards (WACK!). Otherwise, pretty fun game (so far). If it weren't for all the glitches and lag, I'd probably rate this game 5 stars. Dropped to 1 star because on top of the aforementioned issues, the game now constantly crashes (says "anomaly detected" and restarts).

I've been playing for 6 years now and I've never been closer to quitting. The game development is lazy. New and exciting game modes are rare and within the last few months they've started holding back resources and making it incredibly difficult to upgrade characters without spending lots of money. It seems they are going away from free to play and to be honest, they don't put out enough quality product to make the average person want to spend. If the game is fun, I'd be more likely to spend.

I've been playing for about 2 or 3 months now and am at level 71. everything was good until I hit level 65. after that everything starts costing A LOT of gold. I've been buying(with real money) every single pass I can in the game and complete every single daily task just to get every ounce of gold I can but that still doesn't help. scopely wants you to spend more money than that. IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT SCOPELY? FOR EVERYONE TO LOG ON EVERY DAY TO SEE THEY HAVE NO GOLD TO UPGRADE ANYTHING???

Downloaded game because I saw an ad on Facebook with a code to unlock Venom for free. But, the code didn't work in the app. Edit to add that the code worked on the website. App is buggy, wasn’t able to redeem it there. Game has good graphics, but is a very simple game with turn based battles. BUT, I'm actually having a lot of fun, I've spent hours in battles and I'm building a collection of characters. It's neat being able to have characters from different universes and teams together.

I have played this game on and off for years due to the potential it has...great art design, fun teams, great pvp modes..its for sure pay to win but you can play and enjoy for free or spend a little and keep up with all end game pvp. unfortunately scopley had decided over the last month or two to make it entirely pay to play, not even pay to win...they intentionally restrict all gold and essential materials to actually level up any of the characters they release to force you to spend or not play

I normally don't leave reviews but what is wrong there with your systems. I got a new phone and signed in to scopely only to not get my account back, it won't let me connect any other way, 3 years gone! If you can find a way to get my account back maybe the review will change as I did really enjoy your game...but definitely not enough to start over and lose characters I spent a while trying to get.

Would be a zero if I could! I recently purchased a strike pass for one character and they gave me the strike pass for a different character. They have since told me that it was their mistake but the only solution was to spend more money to receive what I actually tried to purchase and that they will not correct the incorrect charge. They have now set a precedent that regardless what you buy you will get what they give you and like it, or just spend more money until they do get it right!

The only thing the game has going for it is the Marvel license. Since Scopely bought it, they have continued to raise level caps, increase difficulty, and release more characters with no commensurate increase in materials. It is, in effect, a treadmill designed to have you always losing ground unless you're willing to spend a lot to gamble on low-odd orbs. And don't forget the game-breaking bugs they've known about for months that persist. But if a bug benefits players, it's fixed immediately.

Unfortunately I'm an og player from when the game started. That is probably the only reason I have continued to play this game. I'm not sure how much more I can take. The game is in the worst state it has ever been in. So many bugs, and mistakes. The game has seriously progressed to pay to play so much that the game is way down in terms of alliances left. Even top 100 alliances struggle to keep a full 24 man roster. Every facet of the game seems to have an issue and not fun.

Do not play this unless you really love Marvel and have a ton of money to spend or a lot of patience. Everything in this game exists to stall your progression. Gold is required for everything. Acquiring training mats, gear and iso8 are all exercises in frustration. Also, they do zero play testing so when a bug is found, the event gets pulled. Whoever happened to be playing can take advantage of the bug and everyone else gets the shaft. They aren't even trying to put out a reasonable product.

I've been playing this game since release. I've almost always enjoyed it, but recently, the move away from the game being free to play has been frustrating. Each new character basically requires you to spend money in order to earn them, instead of just playing casually like you used to be able to do. It can still be somewhat entertaining, but it's really disappointing that in order to actually get new content done right now, I have to spend money.

Yet again, screwed up a release. People in first 30 minutes got a huge advantage until they pulled the event. A while later they put the event back up, with FEWER rewards than advertised before the event. They not only fixed the mistake, but also removed some of the correct rewards. Worse: the 'mistake' game rewards are still for sale on their website for real money.

I've been playing this game since the beginning. I have put a lot of hours into this game and still like to play it. However, Scopely hasn't put much effort into progressing challenges, campaigns, milestones, etc., to keep up with the new characters or players that have everything maxed. They forcefeed new characters every week and put them behind paywalls. Feels like a money grab at this point before pulling the plug on the game all together.

Game is absolutely awful! Don't be suckered in by catch-up dynamics as a new player. I started playing this game shortly after release. It's become a terrible game! Game dynamics make no sense. Game obviously cheats to have cut-off points. Power numbers mean NOTHING! No matter player power, you're always at a disadvantage. Event requirements only allows you to play the event, but will never be enough to be successful, it's a bait and switch. Events can only be completed by big Purchases.

Great Game, Poor Customer Service - The game has never been the issue, but customer service is. I've asked for assistance with a clear issue with some in-game compensation, and I've now received the same exact response, word for word, each time I've reached out (4 times now). If they would take 2 minutes of an actual human reviewing the issue the would see there is a mistake and I'm sure they would fix it. Disappointing end, as I've played this game for 4 years and spent money while doing so.

Playing for over a year. At first the game is exciting as it has an expansive roster of characters. But as you play, you will begin to notice the pay to win tactics which loses value in the fun of the game. Note, the value of purchases from in-game to their official website are not equal. If you purchase anything, always do it from the official site to get the Stike Store credits. If you accidentally purchase in-game, you will not be reimbursed per policy. Customer Support will not help you.
