Match: Dating App for singles

What a waste of time and money. So many fake profiles and bots. Loads of exotic beauties from places like Paisley - yeah sure! The site seems to employ people to chat to you briefly then disappear. I spoke to the same person at least twice, but using two different profiles. It's all a con. When I signed up, I was duped in to paying double so people could call me. They didn't make that option clear - I couldn't afford that! Also it keeps recommending people in Ireland - like constantly!

In terms of cost, this app is no longer viable. You need to pay to even chat to matches, let alone to start chats with anyone else, and you can't see who viewed you without paying. It's extremely expensive too, with weekly membership costing as much as some sites charge for a month. It's doubled it's prices in the last 2 or 3 years. It's no better than pof or badoo, and those sites are actually better value for money. Don't bother with this.

the most cringy app ever.... app is automatically set to receive all notifications, which is too much. I went in to settings to turn these off, and they turned themselves on straight after. app shows times when people been on it, when someone viewed your profile. it's cringe worthy, don't need that. also can't reply to messages i revived. says I need subscription. I appreciate there can be advanced paid features, but replying to messages received should be basic. Will be deleting this.

Nag nag nag!!! Notifications loads of times a day nagging you to message or log in to the app. Can't apear to switch these off without switching off all notifications. Annoying. Also most matches are hours away. And now they have changed it so if you do find someone, you cant just suspend your account anymore (unless you pay to hide it) so if you dont want to be visible you now have to DELETE your account. AND you cant delete your account from a mobile device, only a computer. beware.

Had a 6 month subscription expire in Dec '25. I then received the same 6 month discounted offer by email. Due to Xmas & personal reasons I missed this offer by 3 weeks. Customer 'support' told me they couldn't reissue the offer & that OFFERS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE! The best renewal offer available to me now is 100% MORE than my previous subscription! Although, having read reviews of the recent app revamp, maybe resubscribing isn't a great idea! Match certainly isn't the experience it once was!!

When I open the app I see a message offering me 50% off the subscription, when I click on the offer a message appears saying warning you are not eligible for a discount. I eventually found a subscription reduction but for the premium option only, the standard subscription offer is only available online and not on the app. I subscribed for a month but have decided Match is not for me but I'm unable to delete my subscription, a message appears saying something went wrong, fix the bug urgently.

Decent app, if you pay to upgrade which is £60 for 6 months. After upgrading then can send unlimited msgs but has a lot of fake profiles and many dead profiles. So not too many local profiles, not as much as pof. Don't get many replies. The search feature can be buggy often, as often it gives the wrong results or displays just a few profiles and next time it will reveal more. Often the search just hangs and doesn't work so this definitely needs fixing. Can't send or reply to msgs unless upgraded

poor experience. recommended profiles that don't even match the gender of the preference, let alone any other aspects. notification settings ignored and bombarded with email alerts despite being set to no. no visibility of any likes, etc unless subscription is paid (so no indication of whether you would want to subscribe or not). arduous and difficult process to get account deleted. found a way to delete account after lack of support to do so.

UPDATE: Big waste of time and money. no longer able to zoom pictures and it's too difficult to navigate the app and find messages you've sent. it used to work well, if used correctly. I recommend it. UPDATE: I find there's far too many fake profiles as of late, the vetting process needs to be more stringent, this will gain popularity and generate better results.

Can't really comment on the actual dating side of the app or monetisation etc as it's so technically broken to the point of being unusable. Required multiple attempts to set up an account and login, half the pages on the profile creation didn't work and the details I entered on those that did don't seem to have transferred to the actual profile. Subsequently attempting to edit my profile is extremely slow and most changes don't appear to save.

I suspended my account for a short break, but when I logged back in, the interface had changed and the "suspend" option was gone! Now they expect you to pay £9.99/month just to pause your account, despite me already having a six-month subscription. ​To make matters worse, I'm getting push notifications for likes and messages that don't appear in the app. This update is a disaster! I tried to report the problem but they have removed the option to contact them.

The navigation in the app wasn't the greatest to begin with but this new update is terrible! Search no longer works, keeps asking to log in and things have been moved to require multiple number of taps. It was suggested that I contact the customer care team but on top of deleting all my matches, trying to log on to get to their customer care team ends in multiple log in and log out loops.

This app is broken and also broken on website version since last major update it does not work like it used too. Shambles of a rebrand, constant blank start pages, blank profiles/profile unavailable message, missing chats, incorrect match count also not showing the archived matches in the app and you don't seem to get any liked you notifcations when browsing to click rewind. The like notification in your email 'lets find out' isn't working either just goes to who liked you section.

Terrible I subscribed in early January, paying a monthly fee of £40. The app was not worth the cost even then. Then came the January update which claimed " squashes a few bugs and adds stability improvements which make the app even more fun to use." I have experienced the same issues others report. eg I'm now resident of Alaska and I'm only 3 feet tall. I can't adjust search criteria etc. I contacted customer service 3 times and they were no help. Please reply and refund me!

I totally don't recomend this app, use to be fine but not after this last update. I paid one month membership and this app isn't working at all. I struggled to log in, messages delayed as I get the notification but I don't see anything, I get likes but I can't see them. the distance filter is totally wrong as it shows you distance on a straight line on a map. I don't have the option of pausing my profile.

Constantly notified that someone likes you, but when you open the app there's nothing there. Must happen 2/3 times a day, likely scammers or similar or maybe how Match get you on the app. Not managed a single real life date in 6 months on here. People I like never reply and people that like me are completely unsuitable. Not the best experience overall. I will not be renewing my subscription. Update made it 10 times worse, can't search properly anymore, constantly errors, rubbish!

I have just been forced to update the app. It now 'fails to load' any profiles in the 'search' or 'picks'. I can see my likes but my chat history has disappeared. So, I can't see anyone to potentially like. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no difference. Can't find a way on the app to contact any support.

Just had a major rewrite and looking better. Full of the usual upgrade bugs. Design is better than it was but needs quite a bit of work to make it slick. bottom menu options have missing icons no arrows to get back. Home screen should be your settings. bigger pictures in search is good but search is broken - height feature. some of the layouts not working. That's just the software. People don't just chat it's odd. Loads of views by no messages. We are very reserved or cautious 😄

Pool of scammers. Paid to get a pool of scammers wasting my time. Asked for a refund. Since yesterday when I installed the app and paid for it, not even a single real profile was found. Not even one! Waste of money. Do not even come close. Update: I was told that they are sorry that the new features are not working well, or something like this. no intention to fix the issues. Forget any potential refund. Never again, a money black hole.

Had to update to get back in. Messages, views, likes all blank now. I'm other words it is broken. Further to this the layout is even more owfal than before. I would also point out that the site is full of fake profiles with no attempt at moderation. I believe that in many cases these are generated by Match to drive engagement. Avoid.
