MB WAY

On installing, it automatically allows itself to show promotional notifications without the user's consent, and there is no obvious way to turn them off (no settings menu). Support explained where to find it, under ‘mais’. Also, the app is not available in English, which makes it difficult to use for foreigners not yet fluent in Portuguese. This is bad customer service. It’s impossible to speak all 24 official EU languages.

The app works great, and I haven't had any problems. My only complaints is that when I use the option to ask for money I can't write the reason (optional), so that the other person knows why they are being asked for that value. Also there should be an option to write suggestions and/or feedback.

No method to recover pin, on new phone unable to login. Useless old application.

Don't get me wrong here, this service, (mbWay) are just awesome! The app itself are working without any problem, but the latests versions after (v2.27.3) changes one thing that I really don't like, in the mentioned version and before, the app can send emails to the configured address, but now the new versions only generates a (local) pdf instead, please let the user choose (email or pdf), I'm using this old version of the app to maintain the email functionality and this shouldn't be necessary.

Does not work. I live in The Netherlands and want to pay my bills in Portugal through MBWay. It accepts phone numbers from many countries, and allegedly any credit card. If only it worked!... I inserted my MasterCard number and my Dutch phone number, but activation code never arrived. I tried a few of times on different occasions. Useless loss of time....

Mbway allows to create temporary credit cards, really useful when you don't have a credit card or you simply don't want to share your credit card info since we never know if hackers could access. Mbway also allows to immediately transfer or receive money from others, and even allows to pay using QRcode. I just don't give 5 stars because of the pointless challenge. It's so infuriating cause they don't educate you about it and when you notice, the vouchers are expired. Also, it's rigged. Annoying

Amazing app, but I've recently noticed that it's been chugging battery in the background for no apparent reason. I can go several days without opening the app or receiving or making payments, and it still insists on using at least 30% of my battery according to my phone's battery usage report. I'm using a Samsung S22 Ultra, and I can confirm this also happens with my wife's Z Flip 3.

Can only be used if you have Google Services installed on your device, which a lot of phone brands and users don't have any more. Older app versions did not have this requirement. It is quite strange that a payments application requires a third-party service known for data collecting when the application performs such sensitive operations and other options are available.

Horrible horrible app. It is simply impossible to activate as they won't sent me the verification code. I tried like hundred times, two different phone numbers, even uninstalled and installed again the app, went to my bank to ask assistance there and yet without success! They force me to use this app and are not even able to make it work! Idiots who programmed this app.

Truly valuable app. Allows quick and free money transfers, money requests, and payments on many places (also withdrawals from cash machines), without the need of carying your physical bank card. Clean, smooth and intuitive UI. Easy to use. Only downside (but not a problem of this app) is that some banks are now charging their clients for this app's free services.

Whilst I fully support the product being in the local language, I would imagine that a substantial amount of customers are International. To address this, English as an option would off course be the first choice. That said, not having English as an option would in my view reduce the amount of foreign clientele and investments, as they would seek a bank where they can engage in English as the International language.

Easy to use, no costs associated from them. Some banks do apply fees though. Very convenient and safe during pandemic. The only thing I didn't like is the pointless challenge: badly explains how to win impossible prizes, or get useless treatmens. It however is superficial to the good this app brings along. It should be available in the whole EU!

The previous version was intuitive and easy to use, something that this last version changed for the worst. To consult created cards is more tiresome and if the card was cancelled/expired why not filtered them to not show them by default? I used alot MB Way because it was really easy to use but after this update I think that will change. Hope you improve the app but keeping it intuitive as the original. The app has a lot of potential, don't break that.

The app generally works, thanks! But there is a huge issue with contacts. App forces user to grant access to contacts to send money. Why?! I just want to enter number manually. Then, without asking for consent, it creates "Enviar dinheiro" and "Pedir dinheiro" actions for each number of each contact! If a contact had e.g. 3 numbers, I ended up with 3 duplicated contacts and had to merge them manually. Including hundreds of my friends abroad who never used and will never use MB WAY! It's a spam.

There should be a desktop version. I tried to pay through my bank card to Deepl, airlines for tickets etc. and was declined. Talking to my bank, they said it had to do with MB Way declining the transaction. I have been through all the settings I can find, and nothing for support for this issue.

As a new resident to Portugal, and trying to learn the language, is there any way to have an English version of this app, 🙏PLEASE!. Everyone tells me it's brilliant but I can't get past the home page to do simple things like pay bills. Even if there is a simple English language booklet I can get to help me, that would be wonderful

Pathetic app, due to their lack of rules and regulations I lost 750 euros. By mistake I have transferred 750 (my whole salary) to wrong person and I realised it immediately and I contacted the mbway and they said they can't help. I recommend legal team of MB way to add some more lines in their terms and conditions, which can help people like me. I accept it was my mistake, but I am using your plateform and it's not a rockt science where no mistake is accepted. Locals don't prefer to use it.

This app was funcional and practical. Definitely 5* app, but recent update made is slow less user friendly and very buggy! Crash, slow response, can't see now which cards are active or not. What the cards current available credit is, ex leftover value still present on a card.. This used to be easy to see.. now your have to jump into each card one by one hope for no crashes and live through the deep lag. Why did you break something that was working so well? To put stupid grafics ?
