Recently, the app stopped working. It began asking me to verify that I am a Metro subscriber, which I am. It sends a verification code via SMS and after I enter it is when the error occurs. It says it's unable to verify my number and closes. I called Metro which was a horrible waste of time. They couldn't say what happened when I've been using the service and app since 2019! Instead, they offered a free year of McAfee Identity Protection but that doesn't actually fix anything and I'm frustrated!

This app sucks,misleading,and useless. I paid 30 USD, for what I thought was a 1 yr subscription. Why should I be forced to pay another fee, too enable the useful services of the application? I think the product packaging is very misleading. And the fonts are way to small too read. So basically I paid for a direct link too their servers. And if I wanted the service, I thought I paid for, I would need to pay an additional 79 USD? Also, I would need too grant full permissions for the app. Why?

To sell you the product they report up to 10 devices, including PC, but what they mean is 10 mobile devices. In case anybody hasn't noticed, there isn't really a mobile phone hacking problem in the world. Fact is, most people don't have mobile security software and most people don't get their mobile phones hacked. That's why it's so cheap and many times free, for mobile phone security. So when Metro says they have McAfee for $3/mo. for up to 10 devices, it really is too good to be true. Further, the ones you get for the mobile phones, have advertisements and pop-ups that the normal McAfee version don't subject you to. Complete waste of time.

same problem as everyone else, doesnt recognize my number. I've been with MetroPCS for YEARS and was actually proud to admit it. I've always had awesome service and at a very reasonable price. I was really happy with Lookout, worked great and never gave me problems. Lately, I've been having more and more trouble with service, and now the issues with the security change... seems like the switch from MetroPCS to Metro by T-Mobile ruined what, in my opinion, was one of the best carriers I've seen.

I tried to find my device with this app. I ended up using Google "Find my device" I recommend that everyone set up a device other than yours to find your device in advance ,to avoid stress like remembering your passwords, setting up a device to find your phone, and then off by miles! I haven't had any virus problem, assuming that that part of the app works.It's difficult to make every platform & device work with your software, I understand. But there are others that do. Deactivate soon.

The app is decent, does what it says it does. However, sometimes the real scan will just stop running and the app lock is overwhelming aggressive! I have to put in the password literally every 2-5 minutes. For example, if I go to check texts... I unlock it & I can click a message and read it, but if I hit the back button to go back to my text list I have to enter the app lock password again!!! Same for emails, photos, etc... If I'm using an app why is the app lock running after I've unlocked?

getting a run around, just downloaded app and already seems to be issues, firstly days ho to settings find app for Metro turn on, ok who's joking whom, there isn't any area they're referring to. This isn't Google based is it. Run into so much crud with Google and their assist, if you pass on something app affiliated with they make you pay dearly, just an assumption becoming more and more frequently, I'd like to impeach you off my phone's and your ungodly principles and practices.

McAfee Security for Metro is weak. As a Metro subscriber and payee of the account, I should have the backup capability. In my case, a family member went missing for a month and had my phone. I was unable to recover any data in a very desperate moment. I would enter my information and it was either not verified or an error message was sent and the only option to verify me was via sms message instead of a backup option. Never again will I ever use Metro...it's scary and very unreliable.

Was this recently updated? I also had to log back in twice bc said I wasn't a customer first time.. n I cannot figure out how to get the little floating widget back there used to be a little orange button on the side of my screen I would click and when it open I was able to push the button to clean my phone all of a sudden it's gone. And this is the only app that matches the symbol that used to be there please add the floating widget back otherwise I don't need this app

Really had high hopes for this since it is from my cell phone provider but the app will not allow me to login. It keeps saying 'we ran into a problem, it's on our end, please try again' but it never let's me login. It happened on my last phone too. I can't use the features if I can't login.

I prefer to be safe, than sorry. This app helps in case if people try to steal your phone, get your phone information, or anyone trying to sneak inside your phone for whatever reasons it is, I can actually sleep better at night without thinking about my phone getting snatched up. You don't wanna get caught slipping, do you? Then this is the app you truly need.

I used the refresh button to eliminate cached data before I close down the Android. It's my phone and if I want to clean out the storage and the cache. You did not want to accept the email that I wanted you to use. I can't hire you. You were not satisfied with my information so I said that it's over and I uninstalled you're app. I think your price is too high to for what I want you to do. It looked to me like it was $49 a month. and you didn't catch the trouble that was happening.

Metro by T-Mobile customer with a new OnePlus Nord N10 5G. Opened the app only to have it stuck on "setting things up" and doing nothing more. I have force closed and cleared cache and re opened to same issue. Update: So finally it let me register and got set up. I set up all the permissions for it then backed out of the app temporarily. Go back to it only to, can you guess it? "Setting things up". You guys seriously need to update this app!

Ever since I made the switch to this app my battery has not been the same and drains way faster than it did before. Before I'd go all day with over 40% left and now I'm down to less than 30% by 4 PM. I've tried the "battery booster" and that's a joke. Edit: If the app is "very light" why am I now having this issue when nothing else on my phone has changed? It's unusual to be having battery drain? Well obviously it isn't because I'm not the only one having the same exact issue...Figure it out.

I have successfully recovered my account and everything works normal (finally)! I'm confused why they removed theif cam which comes in handy to find out who stole your device. Also just a suggestion: could you make sticky notifications instead of regular notifications. I always accidentally clear the notifications and I am left clueless on what it said.

App acting shady. I can't click on any link in the emails I get from this service. So why send them to me. I think I'm going to uninstall this and use something else. This is crazy. Asks me to finish my profile so I click to do that . They want my phone number, and then you click after you put it in and hit submit and nothing. 🤷‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ So I blocked the emails. And just say bye!

Why does this app arbitrarily stop working? I pay for this app monthly through my MetroPCS account. I hope this bug gets fixed. The VPN is important to me. However, The VPN arbitrarily stops working regularly. Like every time I turn it on. It'll run for a few minutes, then shut itself off. Very frustrating! I understand that the app is very inexpensive. However, since I am paying for it I would like it to work.

It seems to work okay or whatever, but I feel it drains my phone's battery too quickly because of the power saving exclusions. I don't know why they had to make the change. I never had this problem with Lookout. Any problems I had (and that's only been a time or two), they were very courteous, professional, and fixed it. I don't think they're going to fix this and if they bother to respond, they'll probably be rude which is unnecessary and uncalled for. Just fix it or let me go back to Lookout.

I was not sure I would like this. But it came with the new phone so I gave it a whirl. I love the spam blocker. Love it. Now I am still letting calls go to voicemail if there is not programmed name or it's private. But it has wiped a huge amount of stress off. Not having to look up numbers all day to decide if it was someone I needed to talk to...this is really good. I haven't even delved into much more of it except knowing my emails and credit my cards are safe from hackers is really nice as.

I had Lookout before and I enjoyed the VPN and peace of mind it provided. Metro switched to this and there's no VPN option and it's killing my battery and memory. I go from 100% to 50% in 5 hours or less. Additionally, more of a knock on Google Play, I'm trying to write this review and a stupid gray bar with the text saying "Give McAfee Security for Metro an overall rating" blocking what I am writing so I can't see what I'm writing. Hopefully everything is spelled correctly. Just frustrating.
