My biggest issue with it is the hidden price increase per item when making an order for delivery! There is no warning to the user this happens. This cheap trick gives users a false sense of low delivery fees. 100% recommend to only ever use the delivery option when redeeming points. A 12 dollar meal combo is 15 on delivery, but at least it costs the same amount of points to redeem.

the app fails so often. Have had trouble ordering food, sometimes it takes a long time to just make an order. Payment often fails, but wait a hour or so and then it goes through. I have had to delete and reload the app several times, just to get it to work. I hate that it is so badly ran, especially for such a huge company. THE COMPANY SHOULD INVEST A BETTER APP.

Constantly freezes, about half the time it doesn't work. Even if you close the app when it freezes, doesn't do a thing and it'll remain frozen when you open it up again. Cleared cache, didn't help, restart phone, didn't help. Only thing to do is go somewhere else and hope next time it works as it seems to be very inconsistent, but when it does freeze there is abolsutely nothing you can do to fix it at that given time. It's also not a new problem, been doing this for a couple years.

Doesn't work. Trying to open the "Ready to play" section to add codes for the competition currently on going. Won't open at all, tried clicking on it twenty plus times, tried opening and closing app multiple times. It's been two days of this just not working. Just not worth it, would rather lose out on the points and extra rewards than continue dealing with this.

App no longer works in advance. If you place the order and then go to the store when you go to click your pickup option it'll show an error that one or more items aren't available (thats not the case, it happened every time) amd then an error "oops try again" and cant load the cart. trying to update the cart it just happens nonstop. app only works if you use it at the store and select pickup option right away. seems to be an issue with the info staying in the background.

The best I can say is that it isn't quite as bad as it used to be. Still issues with a previous order getting stuck in the app so you need to log out and back in to do a new order. Opens and immediately closes so you need to open it again. And impossible to see the new featured menu items on the main scene, they're covered by the 'order now' button. And honestly, there are rarely any actual offers in the app anymore.

Absolutely terrible, it automatically logs you out which is annoying. Buffering for a code takes an exorbitant amount of time, 5-10 minutes for it to somtimes not even load at all. Your virtual points can actually expire. Additionally, half the time you load a code to apply it wont properly work when scanned. So you have to reload the app and remove the code and try to reapply the same promotion. Only for it not work when staff scan it again... I wish I could give this 0 stars, it's trash.

Horrible app. 4 years later and still continuous problems. latest issue is credit card payments not going through but it does not tell me. instead I find out when I go through drive through and get stopped at first window to make a payment again. staff in store don't explain why unless u ask and even then its not clear. it just happens sometimes. Head office....FIX IT please. whats the point of this app if I have to do a payment at the window??? old orders still in checkout bag. lags frequently.

This app is beyond terrible. It lags nonstop, crashes randomly, and takes forever to load. I ordered food for the first time, and it NEVER came. No refund because I "didn’t have a receipt" IT’S AN ONLINE ORDER! Shouldn’t they have that info?? The job ads are pointless since no McDonald’s actually hires unless you live in the middle of nowhere. The ordering system is confusing, and even switching slides takes way too long. Useless app. Fix it or take it down.

Downloaded it and tried scanning in store at two self serve kiosks and main counter for points. Errored out all three times. No free cheeseburger for my $1+ order. Edit: restarted my phone and tried again. app worked at self kiosk. 07/09/2025- tried ordering on kiosk with an offer. App kept bumping location address to another McDonald's. Gave up and walked out after 20 minutes of trying. Counter no help either.

I'm in Edmonton and I have every fast food joint app available to me on my phone. The McDonald's app is by far the best, and it's not even close! I rarely have a problem, and if I do, it's usually a reboot of my phone or a small pause of the app that fixes any glitch. Sometimes I have to turn the Wi-Fi off on my phone before I even enter a McDonald's location, as it will automatically connect to theirs, and that can sometimes be down. But PLEASE, add syrup as a purchasable condiment on the app!

Absolutely a garbage app. You can never order breakfast because it says "Items are unavailable at this time". 90% of the time it won't let me order because it says I have an open order when it clearly shows my previous order was completed. It robbed my points tonight for an order it never completed. And the call center isn't open most days to even complain with technical issues. Use other food delivery apps.

Works only sometimes, McDelivery is constantly broken, I have had missing items from my order and unable to dispute because the dispute page won't load, and the app is glitchy at best. For a company valued at $321.55 billion (As of 2026, I checked) I would expect better. Would give 0 stars if I could. Only good part is points collection.

Only McDonald's would make it nearly impossible to give feedback on orders. Orders through app, doesn't show order receipts, and no receipts are given with online orders. When giving feedback about your order, you won't have the correct information to fill out required information, Even though you ordered through the app. McDonald's NEEDS to fix the feedback system. Order information should be saved, but currently just prompts to order again.The restaurant will stubbornly just ask for a receipt.

this app has some failures because when I'm trying to use my points to get more it says "I'm sorry we can't do that because you don't have enough points" but I'm literally trying to get more points. and the thing is everyone else can put their points in but it's just me that can't I've tried deleting it but it still doesn't work

Bullpucky if you don't use your points in six months they take them. How many if us can afford to eat there that often. Secondly the points given are nonsense you have to spend hundreds of dollars to get anything back. Then it has to be redeemed a certain way or you don't qualify. All a bunch of nonsense aimed to make you spend money you can't spare. Cook at home it much more satisfying. It's better tasteing, healthier, and cheaper and your family will keep coming back for more!

I'm honestly dumbfounded with myself with my I continue to use this app/eat at McDonalds. The service through the app is less than subpar. I've had multiple issues with drivers accepting and cancelled my delivery causing the order to take over an hour to arrive. my meals 9/10 times are incorrect and/or missing items. Because they are close and convenient, I choose to keep eating there. fast food in general has gone downhill in service and accuracy

This app is becoming very problematic... Don't understand what the problem seems to be?? Long load times, lags, freezes, crashes... all I want to do is order some food, and it's problematic. Fees are getting higher and higher; every time they fix a UX issue, a price increase is snuck in somewhere... the fact that the "value meal" can cost upward of $15 on the app, while being under $10 in the store feels like a good way to punish those who have no means to get there themselves...

Mobile orders always get rejected when ordering Mcdelivery. Also when using McDelivery you don't get to choose the restaurant it is coming from. I've been trying to order McDelivery for the past 3 months and the order always fails. It's frusterating trying to order food for multiple people just for the order to be rejected. Please fix this. I havent had any issues with mobile delivery orders from other fast food chains.

I stopped using the tip option because they never delivered to my door. id have to go on a scavenger hunt while my food got cold because they wouldnt read the directions. i would put one by the door if they were bothered to even read them but now if you select 0 as a custom tip, the app literally crashes out and just loads until you close the app. this is a new level of scumbaggery. when the price goes from 20 to 30 just for delivery down the street and they still cant even do that? not tipping.
