No longer works. When I try to look at my Project List, nothing turns up. I use my laptop and a browser, I can see my project list. When I search for an item, nothing gets found. I cleared data, cache, and removed the app. when I installed it again, I cannot log in, says I should try again later. It has become a real disappointment.
I love Menards. Shopped there for years. I have ordered online/pick-up orders multiple times and I never noticed any "processing fees" until today. My order came to $69 with $7 of that being a "processing fee." I have two pet peeves with online purchasing. Shipping fees and any fee added on to rip me off. So for now on I will have to either go into the store or order elsewhere. I am handicapped so ordering online is sometimes easier for me. But even if I wasn't, the extra fee is just not cool.
I still enjoy Menards... I wish I could say the App is wonderful also, but it's Not. I have had nothing but problems since they added the product scanner. It scans really quickly and does the job it's supposed to do. But after that the App never closes. Now every time I open my phone,it opens to the Menards camera page. So I have to delete the app every time I enter and leave the store.
Can't set up a store anymore. Bar across the top just keeps going. There is one near me...less than 5 miles away! Also it is frustrating to look at an item, go back, and have to scroll through EVERYTHING again to get back to where you were. I've purchased a few things through the app in the past and have had no problems, but now I can't even access my local store.
The app required an additional login for purchase which was not possible on my phone. The app told me, "If you experience problems logging in, please allow access to "" through any potential ad/origin blockers you may be using" which I was able to do on my desktop, but not on my phone. Also, the cart on my phone did not transfer to the cart on my desktop leaving me to look up the items all over and adding them to my cart again. Almost on par with Target's & Walmart's app.
This is the worst shopping app ever. It's difficult to open, buggy and frustrating. You have to type in user ID and password every time. It doesn't recognize correct log in info at times. AND THEN ONCE YOU'RE LOGGED IN: it serves absolutely no purpose at all (for the shopper). I downloaded it to help track and redeem rebates...but it can't do that. You can order items and have them saved for later pickup, but a phone call works better. This app is a cynical tool designed to harvest info.
What happened to this app? The "Shop by Department" is gone, there are orders missing from my order history, and over half the orders that do appear in my order history have no data in them. Y'all, there should be an easy way to look up what I ordered/bought in store before so I can buy more of the same. This app isn't easy or intuitive. Heading over to Home Depot's app instead.
I have been using this app for years, and it's been great. A couple quirks here and there, but far fewer than most apps. That is, until recently. For the past couple of months I can get nothing on the app to work. I always left my account signed in, but suddenly it won't let me do that, or search for a store location. Nothing. It launched and when I put in a zip code, is says "Unable to get results at this time. Please try again later." I tried reinstall, turned off VPN, still nothing.
"Processing" fee is charged per sku ordered. You won't find any other retailer that charges the customer for putting an item from their inventory into a box. Now I only buy sale items from Menards. If you're doing a plumbing job with a lot of different skus you might end up paying more in processing fees than the fittings. App works well, at least.
You can get some poorly made stuff if you're not careful. But, they are cheaper than other stores item for item. A gamble on cheaper items can pay off. I bought a snowblower that ended up having a lot of plastic parts, but it has been reliable for 5 seasons now. It cost half as much as major brands. Generally remember though you get what you pay for. I've been disappointed several times when I went with the cheapest option available. At other places that wouldn't have been offered.
I like the app for the most part, but when I'm specifically searching for dog food, for example, and I type in Purina Pro Plan dog food, cat food shouldn't be high in the list but it's always a mixed bag. Additionally, when I click the available at local store box I want to see what is available locally and that doesn't work well at all. I love that it shows a map of the store & where each item is.
Search is unusable. When you find what you're looking for, it doesn't show where it is in the store. The very general store map is unhelpful. Prices are inaccurate comparing shopping from app to the actual store location. I add to cart to get a general idea of price, but expect to pay more in store even after the 11% rebate. It's an ok app, but the competition's apps blow this one out of the water.
I have multiple big box store apps. Menards is the worst for locating what your looking for. It gives you a map and locator instead of an isle number. Then when you get to the area where the locator points to... nothing. You still wonder around aimlessly looking for you item. It also can't save my receipts without entering a card # in the app. If your not going to give me a way to pay at the checkout desk with my app you can't have my card info. I like "lists"Love Menards. Hate the app.
This app is trash. Searching for something is a waste of time and never direct. The in store view is extremely vague to say the least! Not helpful much at all! And availability of products in inventory is never accurate. One staff member told me that it's only updated when they do inventory checks. And they can't even tell you when an item could be back in stock. "We only get what they send us ". Are you Serious?! I see the same frustrations in most of the reviews, but still gave good stars? Wow
App constantly closes. Only shows my saved lists about half the time. Multiplies my items that I add to my cart. I will put one thing in my cart and come back and it has multiplied. Sometimes only by one or two but occasionally I'll end up with 136 (or an equally ridiculous amount) of that item. And shouldn't have to add an item to that cart and start checkout in order to see a price. Now the app won't open and I can't see the current sale ad.
App works well. EXCEPT when building an order in the shopping cart. I have left an order for a couple days before i make the purchase. The quantitys double over a period of time. This is annoying, and caused me to over purchase some items in the past. I returned them, and recieved a refund. But this cart amd quantity issue needs to be resolved.
App stopped working, and when it was working, it kept giving me error messages and stopped working, despite clearing cache and data. And Menards can be a nightmare to shop unless you know exactly where the items are. The app, when it was working, only showed the general area an item might be. That means it could be in that aisle, or the next one over.
The Menards app just recently received an update. I prefer the older version. In the older version when I clicked in the menu icon in the upper left, I could click on "Shop by Department". To me, this was a much easier option to look up what I wanted to find rather than using the search bar. I do like how when you find the item you want you can click on "view in store" and it will get you close to what you are looking for. Bring back "shop by department" in the next update please?
I hate the online ad. I TRY to look at the weekly ads, since I don't receive one in the mail anymore, (despite the $1000's I've spend there!), but when I try to go to the next page, it pops up a nearby item. Took me 20 minutes to get to a few pages in. And, when it pops up an item I did NOT click, when I try to go back to the previous page, it keeps returning me to page one!
The app used to be decent (I'll get into the new problems in a minute) other than the abismal "store locator" feature. Take notes from every other large store and add a more accurate location. And I know the info is readily available because when I ask an employee where something is they can immediately look up the exact aisle and bay number. Now, new problems. .. Searching is very glitchy, hardly works. Plus now I'm getting irrelevant matches. I searched weed killer and I'm seeing door knobs
