Mercado Libre: Compras online

Mercado libre is the most frustrating, most annoying dance and the bush, failure of a service I have ever tried to use. I've spent hours trying to get an account set up, getting local phone numbers and everything, and still can't get an account bc of it's failure to let me upload an ID, in addition to every other bit bad software involved. To say that I hate you would be a gross understatement.

I used to get 30 days to return an item, I buy vintage electronics, now I get 6 days and then the app crashes when I try to return an item. it seems like they dont like me returning something over 3000 pesos. too bad! started using Amazon. 100% better. The ai that appearantly doesnt let you move forward on returns unless it thinks the situation worthy is very annoying. it took three days to decide if I could return a 300 pesos item. no thank you! mercado libre more like mercado ai controlled!

There are still some Spanish/Portuguese (pt-br) translation issues, and responsive design problems (ads in two columns only show half of each image and text, it doesn't show the price and conditions of the product, such as whether it is FULL or not). Overall, the experience is very good, and it has the best options.

The ads for the self promotion are ver y disruptive. They pick the package from the sellers one day, and then deliver it whenever they see fit, so MercadoLibre just change the delivery dates without prior notice. The app also has a really bad tracking system.

Their commission is incredible high. 20% for sale plus all the expenses for publishing. And as buyer I got robbed, an expensive item that worked barely 4 months and they do not move a finger in my behalf. They just cover 30 days guaranteed. Ain't worthy to buy or to sell with them.

They'll gladly take your money without a national ID but then refuse to help with a return and refund when you get ripped off. I received an open bag of 125 USD dog food that was opened and the contents switched for something cheaper. If it happens to you, contact your bank. Your bank won't care what BS this app buries in their terms and will make it right.

Mercado Livre has become impossible to use. The app is flooded with repetitive Chinese products from the same sellers, posted hundreds of times with different prices. Search results are irrelevant and frustrating. The platform has lost its quality and feels like a trap for buyers.

Great a marketplace with vast variety of products. Awesome shipping experience, but they are becoming also a super nag by pushing products and subscriptions very often. when we open the app.

i dont have peruvian document am here as a tourist and they didnt let me return what i bought even after contacting support they said I couldnt do anything. EDIT: as a live streamer i usually order some equipment online but every time I order something, I get the wrong package and they even want me to pay additionally for they're fault. of course I dont allow this and don't pay anything, but its full of careless people that dont even pay for they're mistakes.

so-so. I was sentence to this site through Facebook ads. it was supposed to be warehouse liquidation discount , but still Mercado libre. Thank God, my money was late posting because it was a scam attached to Mercado libres site, through Facebook as a back door.

they won't get what you bought on time and all customer service tells is that they are sorry and will work on that for future purchases, completely frustrated as you can't even cancel the delivery

I was ready to purchase a honey whale wolf scooter, 2 electric kettles, and a fossilbot cellular, and suddenly they disappeared from the shopping cart, and when I went to reopen the app sadly, I wasn't able to locate said items no longer. As of yet, I still can't find them to order em. Otherwise I would have loved the app 😔

I wouldn't recommend the app at all. It asks for facial recognition in order to log you in and it doesn't give more options to log in. It's so much easier with other apps. Just download Amazon or any other that doesn't require you to use as much personal info.

it was a great app and I made a few purchases, but for some unknown reason I am now locked out and cannot check on my most recent purchases unless I use this STUPID FACIAL RECOGNITION feature!! As if sending me an SMS or email to verify my account on my personal device isn't good enough for the two step verification method!! This needs to change as I am disabled and CANNOT TAKE SELFIES!! 😞

Never buy more than one item from the same seller. If they try to trick you by sending only one item, the status of all items will appear as delivered, and Mercado Libre will not help you recover the money for the items not received.

it is weird how good the app can be and still so very antiquated and broken at times, is this a psyop?

It's worse .photos don't upload .products don't work .impossible to return. Terrible customer service ..Don't use. Warning this not like ebay or Amazon. Untrustworthy. Return Purchases from foreign countries (China) are a nightmare. The international countries want to negotiate a return.. 😡 Definitely would NOT recommend if you are an expat.. The return system is just awful. The communication with representatives untrustworthy. I got .. This service is NOT equal to PayPal or Amazon.

Extremely buggy, I find it soo hard to login, like it insisting on facial recignition all the time, and it doesnt work! That its practically unusable. I have given up. Just use Amazon. Buggy and useless. Does not work

I LOVE IT! The app is great; I was able to get my Eliot plushie through it. I highly recommend this app.

App gets worst every release. The website was much better.
