This started great. It was ~25 points per receipt & u were allowed 20 to 25 receipts per week. The bonuses for partner items was also much higher. Then the decline began. Eventually, it got to 10pnts/receipt with a ridiculously low 10 weekly receipts. Now, its even lower. 50 receipts maximum, but they only accept receipts that contain specific items. I was getting $20/ 3 months, then 6 months, then 1 year. Now, I will be lucky to get $5/yr. I'll delete it after the next $5 redemption
I have changed my rating, and increased stars from 1 to 3. The app developers clearly listened, and now I don't get 0 points for a receipt, but get at least 1 per receipt (if there are no special offers additional). Thank you for that! Previously, I could only submit 10 receipts per week; now I can submit 50. Also, after submitting a receipt, I get directed to my history instead of being able to directly snap another receipt, so that is a bit cumbersome. Flash button is present, buthard to see.
UPDATE:NOW YOU DONT EARN ANY POINTS PER RECEIPT,ONLY ON EXPENSIVE PRODUCTS AND PRODUCE(and the produce it never want to pick up and measly points at that) Update: Points were lowered again to 10 points per receipt!! Bad decision!! It was good but now they cut the receipt rewards down from 50 points to 25 which I can see here people are not happy about ,including me. There aren't really a lot of products you can earn extra points on and they are very expensive products.
total waste of time. keeps saying it can't see the date on the receipt. utter garbage. do not download. they only want to see receipts for the products they endorse or recommend. junk. updated from 8/28/25 > Same bs. i checked the receipt from side to side and top to bottom. the purchase date was clearly visible and the receipt was sharp in the viewfinder. the app claimed that there was no purchase date and that it was blurry. why is this junk still in the playstore?
Great idea, but there are better apps. They only honor very specific brands, and I am constantly having to review and edit my points on my reciept because things are not honored or missed (especially produce). The points system is also 5,000 points for $5, so it will take FOREVER to earn. My last reciept had Organic milk, organic Mac and cheese, etc- none of it able to be honored. The rewards section also likes to glitch and not show when you pull it up. Deleting the app for now.
It's kind of useless, unless you are going to buy what the app wants you to. 1 point for any receipt with or without the products the app allows and 30 to 100+ for items on the app. If you are willing to decide what to buy base off what the app has then you'll get points. Other than that it's easy to use.
Not nearly as good as Fetch. Was better when it gave 50 points for any receipt but it has gone down to 25 then to 10 and now you only get one point unless you have produce items or you buy certain brands . Love that they added the play games for points feature because that's really the best way to rack up points. The app also glitches entirely too much and I always have to close and reopen. This has been an ongoing issue for a while.
Unless you SPECIFICALLY BUY the products associated with this company, it will take you 100 years (or more!) to collect enough points to amount to anything. You see, Merryfield only hands out a GENEROUS 1 point per receipt that doesn't have any of their products on it. Can you smell my sarcasm??! In my opinion, this app is as good as bloatware.
Been using this app for along time. I've gotten tons of money back that I save up through the year and put towards Christmas. Unfortunately, they have reduced the points you receive by A LOT unless it's a special deal, and Walmart no longer connects to the app even though it says it's an option. That's where I used to get the most points from. Sad. It's really not worth scanning anymore to just get a few cents 😕.
First, Merryfield began limiting receipt scans to 10 per week. Then, points per receipt dropped from 25 to 10. The app is now hardly worth my time, and I'm questioning whether to delete it and my accumulated points altogether. If you're considering downloading the app, it's only worth it if you already buy a significant amount of products from the app's partner "better-for-you" brands. Unfortunately, Merryfield does not partner with many popular brands of non-GMO and organic products.
Don't bother. I had a few years. Sometimes I wouldn't use app since I bought store brand organic products. I didn't bother to scan receipts for credit. But when I did, the amount has now lowered to nothing. You get 1 point for fruit/veggies but it missed on one receipt and after submitting, receipt is not on account. I have yet to cash out although I may get a $5 ecard. But none are businesses I use. The app pushes doing surveys or games. There are 8 items to get points. The focus has changed.
A friend told me about this app and I was really excited about it. It was 50 points. Now its only 25. You can only scan paper reciepts. There is a limit of 10 in a 7 day period so I have to wait a day or so at least to scan. Only a few things you will get lots of points for. A s sometimes receipts get rejected cus they are apparently duplicates. If I return somewhere after a week or so, they will recognize it as a duplicate. I plan on eventually deleting this app.
DO NOT USE THIS APP! As a Google pro reviewer, I use a lot of apps to save money + then review them. This app is one of the most unethical I've come across. I signed up last year with the promise to refund my money for receipts scanned after I reached the $10 mark. There was no limit on time. Yesterday I logged in, they had taken the $8 I earned, claiming they sent an email in January warning users to scan more frequently. I find it despicable to steal money from consumers. Hard Pass!
This used to be a great app, but they've lowered the point amount per receipt so low it doesn't even make it worth it. It went from 50 points per receipt, down to 25, and now down to 10. That's just shameful. They've also upped the amount form $5 to $20 for Amazon gift cards. At 10 points per receipt, you might earn a gift card every couple of years. Time to uninstall and let all my friends know this app isn't worth their time. Developer response: you clearly don't care and give the same answer
UPDATE 01/28/25: Now you get ZERO points for receipts. You have to buy their partnered brands to earn points. DELETE!!! When I first downloaded this app it was great. You got 50 points per paper receipt, which made up for it not giving any points for digital receipts. Then they changed it to 25 points per paper receipt a year or so ago. They just changed it to 10 points per paper receipt and limit 10 receipts per 7 days. As soon as I get enough to cash in the reward I want I'm deleting this app.
This used to the best receipts rewards app, but now it pays less than any other. They also switched to software that can't recognize anything on the receipt... ie, Uncle Matt's orange juice is read as "Dewalt steel screws," and Organic Valley milk may be read as "Hillman 640-watt black lamp socket". Basically, all the grocery items you'd earn points on, it'll misread as hardware store items. Yes, you can request a review of each item, but it's very time-consuming when all items are wrong. :(
The fact that you can only Scan 10 receipts a week makes this app almost completely useless. By the time you try to scan them they're too old. Guess if you don't want to pay out very much this is the way to do it. So, Merryfield takes customer comments seriously? If that were the case they would make it easier to scan your receipts . Nothing has changed since I made this review. You're still limited to only 10 receipt per week and by the time you can scan them the majority of them are too old.
I USED to absolutely love the Merrifield app! However, my opinion has changed within the last 6 months to a year. Used to you would get 50 points per receipt no matter what it was, now they reduced it to 25pts and you can only do 10recipts a week and then you have to wait 7 days to do anymore.. well by then, according to them the receipt timeline has expired because they only give you so long! It's a lose-lose situation.. if you have shopped at multiple places you lose out on ALLof those points!
Customer service is very responsive! They have handled all my receipt reviews very quickly and efficiently. When I first joined the all receipts were 25 points, now they are only 10. You have to purchase their products to really accrue points and you can only upload 10 receipts in a rolling 7 day period. Otherwise I would give a better rating if points acrued faster and you can upload more receipts.
This app is one of the worst ever. They have lowered the value of receipt scans several times recently, making it harder and harder to accumulate points. Now they have completely taken away the ability to scan receipts at all. Even the games I tried to play for points had glitches, were not tracking properly, or would freeze. then you have to put a ticket in and wait days for it to get resolved. I am done with this disappointing app and have finally gladly deleted it
