Messages: Phone SMS Text App

Waay too many ads, but I guess that's why it's free. Plus, many of the ads come on with sound regardless of if my phone is on silent or not which is EXTREMELY annoying. Works somewhat well. But ..when using the app, the keyboard doesn't automatically capitalize the letters after a period. Also, the messages keep going across and not down so it's hard to correct/see the message. Guess I'll go back to the other app I was using. .

The app works great, except you can't get rid of the annoying pop-ups! Unless you pay for a monthly subscription. They offer it at only $1.49, but never tell you how much you will pay monthly after the initial $1.49. I would assume $19.95 or who knows??? per month which is ridiculous considering they don't offer anything a free app can do. STAY AWAY! Thus truly deserving of a 1 star.

I would give 0 stars if I could. It worked okay, but not great, for awhile. I paid to remove ads that were annoyingly in the way. It just forced an update and now it is not working except with personal text messages. The whole point of this app IMO is to send and receive group and media messages when your phone's default app doesn't do that and this app is not doing that for me anymore after the update. I will be deleting this app and trying another one if anyone has any recommendations.

Edit/Update: This app lost its ability to send pictures from my phone. It's also now glitching every so often, freezing up, then dropping whatever message I was writing. Dumping this app ASAP. ***** Great app except that I can't purchase it to get rid of the inane ads for brain-rot games and other useless nonsense. I will need to go through all of the messaging apps again to find something as good as this one.

Switched to T-Mobile from Verizon and was no longer able to use Verizon's SMS app, which I LOVED! So I started looking for replacement apps with similar features and this was the closest I could find. Though I really like the features, the amount of ads is absurd and it's even more ridiculous to pay $50 for ad removal for life. I would pay maybe $20 and that's VERY generous considering some problems with this one (like uploading or downloading MMS pictures) that ensure it won't be around long

You have now fixed it until it is totally broken. Suddenly I get bombarded with ads even though I have the paid version which is supposed to be ad free. The app used to be fast, but the new update takes a long time to load. Also the new icon looks like there are unread messages. I will rather purchase a more reliable app from a more reliable supplier.

The messaging part seems great. Crisp dark mode, handy spam section in the tabs, intuitive layout, easy scheduled message usage, all good on all that. Unfortunately regardless of which settings I change or what permissions I give it I'm unable to send pictures. I would love to increase my rating, but if I can't sent MMS then that's a deal breaker. If there's a fix I'd love to know.

A nice, simple SMS app. Installed to use in place of that pre installed on my phone, which cannot be removed. Guess which one? This one works perfectly and is now set as default. Only docked 1 star because the advertisements are annoying. I understand why they are there and are only at the bottom of the screen which isn't too intrusive.

This app is very difficult to maneuver through. The method to make corrections is cumbersome. I tried to find a different method and ended up accidentally removing the ability to make changes and can't get it back. I tried to find a method to capitalize the first letter in a text and never did find one. I Uninstaller the app. Not worth the hassle.

I gave this SMS app a chance and it failed spectacularly! I had issues left and right, sent three emails about three huge issues and received no response (funny how they take LONGER IF AT ALL than the trial lasts to even consider replying to me. Lots of broken stuff, including; -Block by keyword doesn't work -Can't send pictures to others -notifications are not right, all over the place. This is made worse by both issues above MANY OTHER ISSUES TOO (out of space here). HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.

It does what its supposed to. Unsure why I am able to review a standard function of the phone. Fortunately you can infact, text message on my cell phone. The Archive feature is kind of annoying but atleast they made it easy to undo. No matter how short, it refuses to send messages containing videos I have recorded due to file size. Overall it does what it should and does it satisfactory. Looking forward to review other basic phone functions such as Phone, Airplane mode and Lock screen!

I see a lot of people complaining about this app. I have a Nexus 5. Im not sure how it is with other peoples phones but if you press Shift, the emoticons button turns into the Enter button allowing you to skip to the next line. Also, I can only send/receive picture messages when my WiFi is off and my mobile data is on. That was my fix for that issue. In conclusion, I like this messaging app WAY better than Google Hangouts. Easy to use and feels exactly like the old SMS/MMS system I used on my last phone.

I do not know what is going on all of a sudden with this app. For some reason I'm not able to send pictures in it all of a sudden, as well as, if I send a picture I cannot see the message that's attached to the picture. I just recently viewed Another Person's (Jeanna Yeager) review and she is having the same identical issues as I am. I've never had this happen before. I love this message app. So ease fix the issues or I will delete it.

I can't even send gifts without them being blurry. No matter what I change the offered specs to. Sometimes the APP won't even send them. It let's me respond to messages in my pull down bar which is great but it leaves the messages as "unchecked" in the app so it looks like I have a lot of messages still. There are definitely a few technical flaws.

I haven't used it. And probably won't. I only download it so I can leave a comment. It shows it has a high percentage of 5 star ratings. But the first 100 reviews do nothing but tell you how awful it is. I find it funny that most newer phones are equipped with Facebook (that you can't delete) and standard apps like gallery and messages are absent and need to download one. I pay for unlimited texting. Why should I have to download a message app but Facebook is a standard? Maybe I'm just paranoid.

If you love screaming loud ads while you try an app out, or several intrusive ads during the same session, then this app is for you! I'm testing it to see if I want to keep it or not but I'm going to end up deleting it because of the stupid ads and the way they handle them. Try an ad free one-week trial period rather than slamming ads frequently and loudly! Have you noticed that not one word of this review had anything to do with your app or how it worked? Do you think there's a reason for that?

Used to use this app considerably more than now. Find writing and correcting messages extremely difficult as they always end up back at the beginning and getting back to where you once were is a nightmare. I only use this service now when people write to me using it. Totally unsatisfactory.

I used to really enjoy your Message app until recently. It doesn't give updated information, and it seems to be to easly controlled by other sources. And has become a little difficult to use because of this. On some of the questions asked in the rating portion it doesn't offer a place to immediately respond to the guestion asked, so you have to waste time, go to the "remarks" portion, add comments then go back to remarks before you get to finish looking at the post(?) for lack of better termino

Helps a bit and sometimes you get messages from there that aren't in normal sms so it's very handy doesn't have anything annoying about it it's just lets you know quietly there's a messages so if you are like me and don't have alot of notifications switched on as the noise gets in my head and does it in. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an extra way of getting messages without all the headaches that other things may do
